It all becomes boring way too soon before you made any sort of actual progress and that is the crime this game committed.

It does look quite impressive and, at moments, some of the features are actually quite cool. Unfortunately, most of the game is underwhelming.

The simple brick breaking world has found a new extreme in the title, but it does not work out all too well.

Unepic is a standard dungeon crawler with standard combat, enhanced by its goofy characters and story. If you’re in the mood for a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and don’t mine the occasional weed/D&D/Star Wars joke, then Unepic might be for you. However, if you’re looking for an engrossing RPG with deep mechanics, your time is likely best spent elsewhere.

Cocoto Magic Circus 2 has a lot of good things going for it. The presentation is wonderful, the controls were flawless, and the five player multiplayer make it an excellent party game.

Cubit The Hardcore Platformer Robot really tries, but it misses the mark in many regards.

Knytt Underground is quite a spectacle with great looking environments and solid gameplay mechanics.

Banana Bliss is a straightforward puzzle game disguised as something with a bit more pizazz.

Orion's Odyssey is one of the many cases of a game that looks more interesting than it actually is.

Even if the production values aren’t that great, there’s a lot to love about CastleStorm. The addictive gameplay coupled with the charming visual style and characters make it not only a must-play for Wii U owners, but a must-play for anyone who’s never been introduced to the Tower Defense genre of video games.

If you can get behind the notion of old school difficulty and adore the WarioWare formula, NES Remix will hit all the right notes.

Jump Trials Supreme is a fantastic game if you’re in the mood for a serious but quick challenge.

3D Galaxy Force II can’t escape its arcade roots, which translate into a short and shallow experience.

The variety of game types and the inclusion of download play are nice touches however; so if you like darts, there is nothing wrong with picking this one up.

In the end, I appreciate the story behind the development of this port more than I appreciate the game itself. M2's attention to details and their efforts to give players an authentic experience are to be commended, but I wish the game were more deserving of the lavish care put into it.

If you're a huge Altered Beast fan, you probably already own it on another platform, and you can now own it on 3DS as well. I appreciate the look back, but this look has also reminded me how far we've come.

Regardless, if you hold nostalgia for Sonic the Hedgehog, this 3DS version is excellent, as it is a stellar enhanced port of a fun game, game design rough edges and all. We can all hold out hope for Sega to bring the far superior Sonic 2 to the 3D Classics line in the future, but for now, the speedster’s debut is fine.

Chevrolet Camaro Wild Ride 3D is the worst racing game of the year, with nothing of note to make it truly worth playing.

Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don’t Know is the worst kind of licensed game.

The open sea of 3DS software has a bevy of good games to explore but sadly, Romance Dawn isn't one of them.

Coaster Crazy Deluxe is a nice roller coaster building simulator for whoever wants to give it a fair shake. It requires players who love fiddling around with options. The problem is that it is not really built with a television in mind and should just be played on the Wii U GamePad instead.

As a start of something new, Secret Paths presents a bold step in the future for the newly improved Mysterious Cities of Gold franchise. And maybe, just maybe, you didn't pick a bad time to finally hop in.

The Cube is an alright tie-in to a television show, but it is nothing to truly write home about.

It’s addictive and elegant in its simplicity, and the geometric world is bizarrely engaging.

Bravely Default is a massive game, and one of the best examples of the genre available on the 3DS. While it harkens back to a simpler time, it still offers more than enough complexity to keep players engaged for a long time.

A fantastic addition for the 3DS. The graphics are crisp and utilize 3D well, while the music fits each game and board without becoming monotonous. Every mode and board is easy to pick up and play with anyone, anytime.. Island Tour is a perfect balance of old and new that keeps the game fresh with playing styles to meet every need.

Reel Fishing Paradise 3D is not a bad game by any means, but it is oddly paced in places. The catching is easy, while some of the missions can take a while to complete. Either way, there is no sense of you becoming a victor.

If you’re a fan of physics-based puzzle games, you can do far worse than Ohno Odyssey.
