Kid Icarus was always a lot of fun, but for some reason it never really reached huge levels of popularity like its cousin Metroid. This 3D Classics version is almost identical, but small additions and tweaks like the new backgrounds, 3D effect, high score table and save files ensure that it's worth a look even for those who already played the original to death.

Forget comparing it to Zen Pinball; there's nothing that 101 Pinball World does right. With its slapdash level design, dire soundtrack and sub-Flash game physics, not to mention preposterous amounts of slowdown and a complete dearth of aesthetic appeal, 101 Pinball World is sincerely one of the worst games we have ever played.

It's still enjoyable and entertaining, its humorous style and accessible gameplay perfect for casual and less experienced gamers. It may not put a spell on you, then, but there's still some magic to it.

A lot has changed since Harry's first year at Hogwart's, but we can't say the same for the LEGO series, which employs the same tricks as it has for years with few innovations.

Treat Zombii Attack like you would an undead plague: avoid it at all costs. The controls sporadically decide not to work, the graphics are terrible and gameplay revolves around the least enjoyable activity in gaming: waiting. Even if you do suck any fun from this game, it's over in a flash. Save yourself the frustration and the 500 Nintendo Points. There are far better ways to enjoy the zombie apocalypse.

The Kore Gang: Outvasion from Inner Earth is occasionally a funny, loving tribute to those collect-a-thon games many of us grew up with. Unfortunately, though, most of the time it's struggling with problems left behind in previous console generations.

Imagine Fashion Designer 3D is a competent and hugely accessible treat for the wannabe preteen fashion designer who can forgive the interruptions to the campaign, but it'll prove too simplistic and shallow for those who want to spread their creative wings.

Samurai Sword Destiny twiddles between the line of mind-numbing and oddly enjoyable combat, in a compulsive kind of way. In the end, though, it's tough to shake the hollow feeling present in both the gameplay and presentation.

If you enjoyed the first game in the Carmen Sandiego Adventures in Math series, then there's no reason for you not to get this second one. Carmen Sandiego Adventures in Math: The Big Ben Burglary doesn't add to the already existing formula established by the previous game, but at the same time it doesn't take anything away either.

3 Heroes - Crystal Soul is certainly not a bad game, but its repetitive nature and somewhat sluggish pacing make it feel more like work than play. There's some nice sprite design at work, but it too ends up being heavily overshadowed by the game's monotonous gameplay.

Quick Fill Q should have been a great game for simple, quirky fun, but poor controls, lacklustre presentation and outright dull gameplay all conspire to hold it back from getting our recommendation. For its low price it may be worth a gamble for those on the fence, but we doubt that the number of people who would return to this game after one or two play sessions would fill even a small, uncomplicated hole.

Slingo is as fun, addictive and exciting as ever, and makes a great time-waster. Power-ups and Devil's Games keep things interesting, but they don't quite match the sense of progression of its identically priced competitor, Slingo Quest, not to mention having a blander look overall.

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy brings a touch of the series' new gameplay elements along with a few of the old, establishing itself as the true Ace Combat début title for Nintendo consoles, making up for 2002's GBA misstep.

Chronicles of Vampires: Origins is too short and relies too heavily on a bland storyline to make this worth a recommendation, though we admire its attempts to innovate within the hidden object formula. While you're searching for items or solving puzzles it makes for some decent casual fun, but overall it's flawed and far from special.

While Doodle Fit doesn't really manage to do anything significant or new, it's still a great puzzle game that shouldn't go overlooked. The gameplay is fun and addictive, and there are hundreds of puzzles to unlock and complete that will keep you busy for hours. The whole game is straightforward, simple and even pretty relaxing, and at a measly 500 Points, this game will fit perfectly into any puzzle fan's DSiWare collection.

It's hard to believe that such a simple concept as flipping gravity can prove to be so enthralling, but given the game's incredibly diverse level designs, it's no wonder it's so difficult to put down.

WordJong presents a fun and somewhat addictive combination between Boggle and mahjong solitaire. Unfortunately, your progression hinges on your ability to clear the board every time, a somewhat chance-based, often difficult task.

Mighty Switch Force is easily one of the best games WayForward has crafted and just the type of top-tier 3DS title Nintendo's eShop has been in dire need of.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with casual, easy-to-play games, but they should still have plenty to do and demonstrate genuine creativity. This title does neither of these things, and this particular ninja should bow out.

The Adventures of Tintin is merely the sum of its parts; decent platforming, good music and a sizeable amount of gameplay don't ever quite gel into a satisfying whole. There's potential for a better game in here, but it'll have to wait until the inevitable sequel.

Better than the previous episodes in the series. It may not be by much, but the new mini-games do make it a little bit better. It's still over-priced, too short, and the story isn't all that engaging, but at least the new gameplay makes this episode slightly different from the rest.

While it's easy to say that the Castle Conqueror series is mainly comfortable to provide the same experience over and over again, it's hard to see that as a bad thing when the experience is so much fun.

It is a little lighter on content than its predecessor, and the lack of plot behind the puzzles diminishes the fun a bit, but this is still a worthy WiiWare game for puzzle fans. If you're looking for a family-friendly holiday themed game that'll last you a few hours and won't break the bank, then look no further than Xmas Puzzle.

Up to this point, there haven't really been any breakout 3DS download titles; of course, the 3D Classics games are nice, but they're not completely original. Pullblox, deceptively simple as it may seem, features great gameplay, a lengthy main game, a simple to use level creation and sharing tool and, best of all, comes at quite a low price. It's far and away one of the best downloads available at the moment and a recommended purchase for anybody.

The 3DS doesn't yet offer much choice for those who favour lengthy adventures over quick-fix pick-up-and-play games. However, if you are such a person, Tales of the Abyss should quench your thirst.

Offers some tremendous potential for fun. The experience is hampered somewhat by its complexity, but that's nothing that can't be overcome with a little bit of practice.
