If you're a fan of Final Fantasy VII, do yourself a favor, pretend that this doesn't exist and hope that if a remake ever does happen, that it gets done under the care of someone else.- netjak

A gigantic disappointment. The gameplay is boring, the graphics are boring, and everything else is just plain boring. Even the multiplayer, when it WAS playable without all the debilitating slow-downs, was boring.- netjak

Between the silly design flaws, lack of challenge, and short length, Black Monday would be better off being called an expansion pack for a Grand Theft Auto game - and even that would be over-praising the game. While the story flow is incredibly clever, the lousy characters are a deterrent to it.- netjak

It quickly becomes apparent, though, that there is actually very little depth.- netjak

- Critic Score
The game feels rushed and cheap. With the wide variety of games to choose from in the PS2 library, it would be strange to even give a recommendation to rent this game.- netjak

The elements of a fun and hugely successful game are here, Bandai and Capcom. You've just got to want to put some cash and effort into making it something more than a retread.- netjak

It oozes character from every pore, yet bends rather than breaks the steadfast conventions of the FPS. For this reason, a partiality towards the Dredd franchise is not just a recommendation, but a practical requirement when playing the game.- netjak

Decent graphics and superb sound put you right in the middle of an engaging story (which stems all the way from the first Myst), but the horrendous and continuing loading issues will have you severely distracted.- netjak

Lack of challenge, mediocre presentation, and unfriendly driving simulation makes DDA an unworthy contender in the racing game genre.- netjak

A solidly mediocre crossover fighting game. Hardcore fans of SNK's works may enjoy this one, as may folks who have no fighting games on their XBox. As for the average gamer, pass.- netjak

There is no attempt at a quality title at all, this is a rushed copycat job in every way shape and form.- netjak

Due to the game being a budget title, I am willing to overlook the bad voice-overs, weak character animation and technical problems. However, the game fails when it comes to balance.- netjak

A good way for Sega to make up for the whole "we canned the Dreamcast because it wasn't popular in the US, but we had some really good titles on it that the US liked" thing.- netjak

As much time that actually went into the game (almost an embarrassing amount of time), the game felt unpolished like you were playing a beta version of it.- netjak

If this game had managed to seriously advance the overarching plot of Fullmetal Alchemist, this would have been a great romp that would engage newcomers in addition to pleasing fans of the show. As is, this game certainly has the engine to be fun, but didn’t quite live up to its potential.- netjak

But the fact is, I've never seen the concept handled so well. Despite the fact that you can't tune an individual Borg (like you could do in Custom Robo), you can build such a dizzying array of different lineups that this game has so much more playability than almost any other Gamecube action game.- netjak

This game had its day in the sun, in the mid-80s. It's one of those games that should have been left there. Gyruss' tube control and display mechanics do not translate over well to an analog stick and a distant TV display.- netjak

The game, much like the movie gets passed off as uninspired, and a reason to have some explosions. If you're cool with that, you'll be cool with this.- netjak

There are fun moments to be had - I’ll give the game that much - but you’ll have to wade through a sea of mediocrity if you want to find them. And in the end, it just isn’t worth the effort.- netjak

Definitely a more realistic gladiator experience than that found in Shadow of Rome, but it comes off as being rather stale.- netjak

It’s a sad waste of programming, and I still shower twice daily in the hopes that the stench of the game will come off. It’s ultimately like a fungal infection on DVD – foul-smelling, painful, and a relief to dispose.- netjak

- Critic Score
Something of a tragedy. It is a game hindered by far more than just bad graphics; controlling “the X-Men’s most dangerous weapon” is far from fun, and borders on infuriating.- netjak

A game that already has a limited target audience and it is further restricted by its one-dimensional gameplay.- netjak

One of the big problems with making a cheap side-scroller is with the addition of garbage AI, the game is just a lot of run from Point A to Point B, with the beat-up people areas providing barriers.- netjak

Unfortunately, the touch screen is not as accurate as a mouse and I don’t even want to get started about the glitch - if it had happened any more often than it did, then I would be unable to recommend this game.- netjak

The load times in Boomstick are really bad, taking almost up to 3 minutes to load the game up when I first started playing. It got a little bit faster after that, but not by much and still was about a 1 1/2 - 2 minute load time before getting to play.- netjak
