Great simply because it successfully combines the frantic pace of the RTS genre with the wide variety of popular modes available in first-person shooters.

If playing online isn’t your thing, you probably won’t need to get this game, but if you have Xbox Live, that’s a good enough excuse for you to take a good, long look at why war can be cool when only your pride may get hurt.

Tales of Monkey Island: Episode Two manages to be better than the first one in many, many ways.

The only issue is that the intricate tech tree system sets a pretty steep learning curve for the game that can scare off lots of young, inexperienced players. Because of that, it’s hard to recommend this to people just looking to dive into the RTS genre, but it may be worth looking at for all you Starcraft and Command & Conquer veterans.

The best reinvention of the Tony Hawk franchise to date. The game makes skating fun to learn and addictive like you cannot imagine.

Overall, WordJong is a pretty addictive game. And even though it is a budget title, there is plenty here to keep players word-smithing for a long time.

The original Need for Speed Underground is still better than its sequel, which speaks for the great quality of the first game or the lack of it in the sequel.

This particular version of [Unreal Tournament] seems more like a beta than a well-aged port.

It is a beautiful game with some technical flaws that are definitely worth overlooking. The excellent mixture of the alternate storyline and the sensational art style are second to none.

Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City is a huge step in the right direction of the series and it's made me nothing but excited for the already announced forth game in the series that will be coming out on the 3DS.

Variety of play and replay value is not enough to make us overlook the aspects that are problematic, like the difficulties in locating and defending some of your cities.

It's a nice title with a good story, especially for GameCube owners who have played the limited number of outstanding games the Cube has to offer and might be looking for what else is out there.

Combat is sometimes a little too loose, but the atmosphere, sense of realism, and highly creative game design makes this FPS highly enjoyable and quite the pleasant surprise.

Risen has its faults but what it does do is bring you into a world that won’t let you leave till you’ve uncovered the secrets in every corner. To some it’s just something to hold them over until the next Gothic game comes out, but to me it’s the start of something new and wonderful from an experienced RPG developer.

Let me put it simply; this is a fun game. It has a quickly developed plot with interesting characters and an exciting enough battle system that you'll never be bothered by the frequency of fights. However, it suffers from the curse of most great games; it's short.

This isn't a bad game, but it just ends up as "yet another Guitar Hero" with the set list being the only important difference between Warriors of Rock and World Tour or GH5 or Band Hero.
