Hell is Others has the atmosphere of a survival horror, the item management of a looter shooter, the replayability of a rogue lite and the customization system of an RPG, and it all works together beautifully.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force is a far better game than its predecessor at least, and there's a glimmer of greatness in some of its newest features which is sadly obscured by a very outdated vision of the JRPG genre.

Overall Saturnalia works and manages to excite until the end, thanks above all to its open structure, which makes the story replayable several times without ever appearing heavy or too repetitive.

Deathverse: Let It Die is a melee-based free-to-play battle royale that starts off in a promising way, thanks to a captivating setting and some bizarre characters, but then turns out to be extremely generic and lacking in both depth and content.

This is clearly an "all-in", an action masterpiece born from all of PlatinumGames' possible ideas and resources. Bayonetta 3 it's unapologetically extreme, and never stops to impress or surprise with its constant changes and amazingly layered combat system. If you had any doubts about Platinum's actual status, this game should eliminate any worry.

If not the most complex socio-economic simulator out there, Victoria 3 is certainly the most fun and user-friendly. Another hit and another "nextgen" strategy game after Crusader Kings 3.

Shadows of Rose is a solid expansion in which we control Rose Winters, the now teenage daughter of Ethan, engaged in a desperate search for normality that will lead her to experience the same horrors of her father and to face scary creatures. The mix of powers, combat, exploration and puzzles works well, the story has some great moments and the package in its entirety includes some interesting extra content.

There are many good elements in Torchlight Infinite, from its intuitive gameplay to its deep progression system and nice aesthetics, but also many flaws that may appear in the distance. Its convoluted UI makes it difficult to fully understand the trait and skill system, and its micro-transaction are also predatory, although in a pretty latent way. [Early Access Score = 70]

Batora Lost Haven knows how to occupy a few hours of your time thanks to an enjoyable, if somewhat repetitive, combat system. Unfortunately, the plot fails heavily in terms of pacing and fails to enthrall. It may be a good investment to occupy a weekend while waiting for November's AAAs, but don't expect to be impressed by Stormind Games' work.

Let’s Sing Abba is the same good old Let's Sing. If you love this iconic band's songs you'll love it, if you are looking for some fresh air or you hate hits like "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)” and “Dancing Queen" it's better if you look somewhere else.

New Tales from the Borderlands did not deeply impress us and we believe that such an expected following would have deserved something more. The end result is an enjoyable game, which knows how to get even more laughter but which does not thrill when it becomes more serious and dramatic. Also sorry that Gearbox has only made half an attempt to expand the playful side with too simple minigames. It's not a bad game, as mentioned, but it's not the masterpiece that some were hoping for.

Gotham Knights offers an open world-based action RPG experience that will drive fans of DC characters crazy, while resting on controversial narrative assumptions: there are two videogame universes at Warner Bros., but in none of them Batman is alive. Once this obstacle has been overcome, the story turns out to be enjoyable and the characters well written, the combat system is a derivative of freeflow focused on the skills and peculiarities of the individual heroes, the cooperative has fun but does not appear essential. There are many enemies and excellent boss fights, within a structure that in terms of activities appears rather traditional but rich in content. Visually, the game is a spectacle but when it moves it staggers, betraying a series of technical choices that to define questionable is little: what a pity.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is a simple and straightforward title. If you are looking for an asymmetrical title that will make you smile, this could be for you. On the contrary, however, the experience is really basic, without any particular flicker. The AI is deficient, the situations that follow are often repetitive beyond belief and the lack of depth in the gameplay also turns into listlessness on the part of the player. Perhaps Illfonic's best release so far, albeit with a lot to improve.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is a magnificent, engaging, at times heartbreaking sequel. An experience characterized by an incredible artistic direction, that gives life to sequences with a great visual impact and a sense of discovery typical of the best adventures. The stealth gameplay is once again central but has been improved. What a pity the game only runs at 30 fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X and it's really heavy on PC.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is clearly a great sequel, but can't recapture the lightning in a bottle of its predecessor, due to a more chaotic progression and an overall worse balancing of the mechanics. Still, we definitely recommend it to anyone who loves the genre, loved the original, or simply loves good fun.
