Brotherhood continues to tune and polish the Assassin's Creed gameplay proposing the incredible Rome scenery to the player. We're still a bunch of aspects away from perfection and the game is probably too easy but Brotherhood is without any doubt the best chapter in the series.

New careers and an improved system of relationships allow us to make the night a new ground of interaction. For the ones who don't desire to lose themselves behind the social aspect of the game, the additions are limited and generally not to the height of those introduced in the previous two expansions.

It's not the first time that only two developers give life to one of the most enjoyable experiences of the year. Super Meat Boy is not only the greatest, complete and most polished indie game, but also one of the best platformer ever created. The controls are more than perfect, and everything feels incredibly natural. Of course, the high difficulty of the game will scare a lot of gamers, but the sense of satisfaction is incomparable. Moreover, Super Meat Boy is a wonderful tribute to all the indie developers and games, with its awesome cameos and inspired levels.

Party games lovers should absolutely buy Wii Party. The number of minigames is just impressive and they are also very ingenious. Of course, there are some dull challenges but for the most part they are fresh and amusing, exactly like the improved Mii's look. Unfortunately Wii Party doesn't support any online feature and WiiMotion Plus is absent too, but is not a great lack.

FIFA 11 on the Nintendo DS delivers poor graphics, mediocre AI and a series of problems that afflict the overall experience in different ways. However, the online multiplayer is still there and works well, the additional buttons via touch screen provide a good number of options during the matches and the controls via d-pad seem to be accurate enough.

Fable 3 finally merges the social, action and fighting genres in one beautiful and fun experience. It's a bit too easy and the "Being a King" part is over too quickly to fullfill all of its great premises.

NBA 2K11 is the best basketball game ever. The game have top NBA stars performing like their real life counterparts based on distinct character types, a great gameplay with a strong AI and playing the games is very fun, especially Michael Jordan mode and Manager mode. Visual Concepts have improved everything from 2K10 and today NBA 2K11 is the only alternative to real basketball!

A Shadow's Tale is an engaging and enjoyable platform game, with a nice artistic direction and a good number of original elements that fit effectively into the gameplay.

New Vegas is almost an homage to 2008's GOTY gameplay mechanics as, probably, Obsidian was given little to no freedom to modify its focus elements. The problem is that after two years not all of its elements aged that well and that a few bugs still rise their ugly head. Still a great game and experience.

The Writer is the perfect wrap for Alan Wake's jouneys in to his twisted mind, and in just 90 minutes it conveys all the best we have seen and played in the original game. Unfortunately is too short, and a little bit easy but it's a great experience, almost unforgettable.

The Ball focuses on the symbiosis between the player and the metal ball he controls, offering an original interpretation of the classic FPS approach. The game features eight single player levels in which you have to activate switches, destroy walls and fight against many evil creatures, always dragging that huge ball with you. it's not particularly fun, but for twenty bucks you could give it a try.

The last born in Gothic series maintains the trademark atmosphere, suffering however an excessive simplification of the gameplay mechanics and a heavy, flawed graphics engine.

The debut of TrackMania on the Nintendo Wii is not bad as someone would expect, indeed. The game comes with poor but fast graphics, hundreds of tracks, a good number of game modes (including a nice online multiplayer for up to six players), a powerful track editor and the chance to share tracks and ghosts with the community. Give it a try.

Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 is without any doubt the best Naruto's game on the nextgen platforms. However its gameplay has several problems and this could be a reason why the people who don't know Naruto can't fully enjoy the game.

It's a shame that under this awesome dress, Shank can't stand up with a equally good gameplay. Repetitive, short and expensive, this is a game that could have been much better with some more game design skills.

Enslaved shows off Ninja Theory's attention to detail, level design and characters' depth. If it wasn't so easy and if its combat system and platform mechanics were put to a deeper and more taxing test, it could have been one of the best action game in this hardware generation.

WRC is not what the simulation maniac expect, it could let down the players who desperately need something that is gone missing in the recent years, and is also plagued by visuals that are not up to date, but it has a long career and a good handling system sometimes jeopardized by a strange and not so well devised a.i.

Seabass and Konami finally made big changes inside the PES formula, with many improvements in every aspect and a great atmosphere surrounding their production. It's a pity that the game is still limited by some automatisms that prevent it from being a real revolution, but this year we can surely look forward for the future iteration of the saga.

Medal of Honor is a great title, a realistic and epic take on the war in Aghanistan, but is too short, just 5 hours for an incredible experience, that will push you in a breathtaking journey in most dangerous valleys of A-Stan. It also has an interesting hardcore single player mode, and a well made multiplayer, but it's not as good as the ones in Bad Company and Modern Warfare.

Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light drops the cinematic look of the franchise for a much more traditional gameplay. It's an halfmade attempt however because many features are excessively out-of-date and players find theirselve struggling more against an unfriendly game-design than the monsters inhabiting the world of Brandt and his friends. With an excellent visual and art direction as its best feats, Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light is a JRPG which will appeal nostalgic players especially, but it is nowhere close to the quality provided by Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies.
