Vietnam is probably the best add on Dice could create for the Battlefield Bad Company 2 franchise. It's up to the player to evaluate if the 1200 MP or 13€ for 5 maps and the other additions are the right price to ask.

Comic Jumper is an incrediblt well crafted game, which has too many design issues. Frustration may overwhelm the sheer amount of irony and good graphics.

Quake arena didn't age very well, but still, if you are an hardcore fan of the original, you may still want to evaluate its purchase.

The problem with Ghost Recon on Wii lies in its concept: too simple to be part of the original series and too serious and pseudo-realistic to be a real, enjoyable on-rail shooter. An experimental mixture that just doesn't work.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II for the Nintendo Wii is definitely better than the first episode, both for graphics and controls. There has been no attempt to implement some real time lightsaber action in the game, however the character can execute dozens of moves and that's definitely fun.

Replicating the mechanics found in Just Dance, MJ The Experience manages to deliver a great casual game for the fans; but everyone else should just simply buy the better and more varied Just Dance 2.

No motion detection for this year's edition of WWE Smackdown vs. Raw for the Nintendo Wii. The game is a simple PS2 port with standard controls, a lot of contents but the same, old, slow, cumbersome gameplay.

Dead Nation is a top view shooter with solid gameplay and very nice graphics. The weapons upgrade system works very well and adds thickness to the whole experience, while the enemies are numerous and quite varied. What a pity the online multiplayer mode suffers from an extremely slow matchmaking and the lack of a voice chat.

More an update to the original experience than a sequel, Cities XL 2011 It's too easy and linear compared to other, older representatives of the same genre. Our advice is to keep playing Sim City 4.

What's new in Mafia 2: Joe's Adventure, as the narration and Joe himself as main character, work just great. The problems are all related to what was already be implemented into Mafia II, as the IA and an extreme linearity of the missions. For those reasons the whole experience is a mixed bag advisable to everyone loved the original experience.

A good strategy game which suffers the presence of other great alternatives that came out during this year, and It's not able to stand out on any aspect.

Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 seems to take a step back from the first episode of the series. The game fails to develop some of the previously introduced gameplay elements, giving the impression to be still "under construction" from that point of view. The road taken on by Ubisoft is surely paved with good intentions, but the overall result is somewhat disappointing.

Clone Wars Adventures offers a wide variety of minigames and a nice visual. That's all the good you can have from a game that, other than that, uses the micro transactions system to the extreme and lacks of depth already after some hours of gameplay.

As for the previous releases, the third chapter in the series seems just one part of a biggest game, split to be sold three times: Descent It's very close to the other episodes and thanks to a good level design It's possible the best one. That said there are a several better top-down shooters and one of them, Alien Swarm, It's free too.

The 2011 edition of FIFA Soccer for PSP doesn't solve some old problems (such as team management and graphical interface), offers almost the same modes of last year's iteration but lacks of an online multiplayer mode. The gameplay is still solid and rich, however, so the game could still be a good choice for those who are looking for a nice soccer simulation with up-to-date teams.

DeathSpank takes roughly 8 hours to be cleared, an excellent length for a low-budget and cheap game. It's fun and engaging and unique enough to appeal fans of hack'n'slash games with it wide variety of items and locations. DeathSpank may not have any big expectation but it is nevertheless very enjoyable and polished to be suggested to any player looking for a funny, fast adventure.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a brand new chapter for the saga in both mechanics and atmosphere. It's a competent third person action/adventure with a lot of things to do and great graphic, it's a shame it cannot be considered a masterpiece due to same oddly design choices and some sections made only to improve his length without any real gain.

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Portable stands as one of the best fighting game available for PSP, thanks to a solid gameplay and a good number of characters, each with abilities that make it more or less suitable for a particular approach. The ability to perform special moves by simply using the analog stick will annoy purists, but this feature can be useful if the movements required are too elaborate and difficult to achieve with the d-pad.

Atelier Rorona The Alchemist of Arland is a nice japan RPG with a classic turn based combat system, where you can control a young apprendist alchemist across a variety of situation in the world of Arland. The greatest strength in the game is the crafting system: the player is required to complete certain missions involving the creation of items from ingredients. The Alchemist of Arland is ultimately a good game, especially for fans of the genre.

Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs is not a bad game which brings along some neat features, still it's way too similar to the prequels, especially Shadows of Almia, both visually and gameplay wise. This new installment is recommended to anyone who never played Pokémon Ranger before and, of course, to any Pokémon fan who might want to add some rare monster to his own collection.

Clearly made for younger gamers, The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest comes with a large number of very simple quests, gaining some thickness only when our character earns all his skills and fights against several enemies at once. The motion detection works well, while the graphics are generally poor.

Though it's paved with courage and good intentions, the road of experimentation in videogames hides many, too many pitfalls. Ivy the Kiwi? comes as a fresh, delicate and dreamy experience, it's supported by a series of nice artistic choices and furthermore the price is very affordable. The downside, in the Wii version, is represented by the controls, that sometimes may ask you more speed and accuracy of what the Wii-mote is capable of.
