As the first episode of a brand new series, Tom Clancy's HAWX is not bad at all: the gameplay is solid, there's a good number of missions and the online multiplayer works good though its limitations are certainly noticeable. The game shows some nice locations, too, while the planes aren't as good. If you like arcade shooters, you may enjoy it.

Solid, engaging and technically delicious, Far Cry Primal is a spin off that amuses the player even without firearms and vehicles, although the playful infrastructure is too conservative. On PC the only major differences are the sixty frames per second and a sharper image.

The Turing Test sports interesting mechanics, a nice story and some good ideas but it's unable to reach the top. Many puzzles are nothing more than fillers whose only purpose is to stretch out the experience.

Thanks to its near-perfect control system, the sharp humour and the complete sense of power, Super Mega Worm can amuse more than any game in the Rampage series. The player jumps and dives into the ground, makes some spins and bounces again while biting a chopper. Hopefully, the next updates will bring unlockable achievements, fresh gameplay modes and new levels.

More a data disk than a true sequel, Just Dance 3 is still one of the best party games "for everyone" that money can buy. On Kinect, the game can easily coexist with Dance Central, due to the fact that the approach is really different and more approachable.

It's been a long time but finally Capsized gets its place in the home consoles digital delivery platforms. Some little issues whit the new pad controls doesn't change the good old school feelings about the gameplay.

Insurmountable is an intriguing product on paper, based on a particular idea but with a slow and not very interactive game structure.

Phoenix Point is ambiguous: on the one hand, it will appeal to all turn-based strategy enthusiasts who are looking for an old-school experience, on the other it will surely find the resistance of those who are used to something else.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is a decent rhythm game with a huge compilation of tracks to play, however the repetitive stages, the lackluster content and the poor RPG features are disappointing.

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly is not afraid of what it has always been. Despite its new and pleasant visual makeover, its heart draws heavily from old-school survival horror, where even the clumsiness of the controls and the feeling of never being fully in control played a fundamental role in unsettling the player. This remake, directed by the series’ original creator, deliberately aims to put you in a difficult position, casting you in the role – far from agile – of a young girl facing hell armed only with a flashlight and a camera. Everything contributes to this sense of discomfort: from the uneven difficulty balance to the rusty combat mechanics, issues that eventually start to weigh on the overall experience. In this sense, too, it remains pure, and as such it deserves respect. Just be aware that it may not be a game for everyone. It speaks to a very specific niche that will love it, just as it has loved every one of its reincarnations.

When the original game is so good, can a Director’s Cut spoil the experience? We still don’t know, because Broken Sword is a very solid Director’s Cut of an awesome Graphic Adventure. Developers could have gone the extra mile to smooth some rough edges off, but even so the mission is completely accomplished.

The debut of TrackMania on the Nintendo Wii is not bad as someone would expect, indeed. The game comes with poor but fast graphics, hundreds of tracks, a good number of game modes (including a nice online multiplayer for up to six players), a powerful track editor and the chance to share tracks and ghosts with the community. Give it a try.

With two different campaigns, two modes (standard and survival), a lot of stages and a great gameplay, Crap of Defense is an awesome action game for your iPhone or iPod Touch. The graphic style is also tremendously "trash" and funny. Don't miss it.
