With the latest "Game with Gold", gaming reaches a new level of dramatic-pixel-action-fun. #IDARB makes us happy with some vintage but forever fresh gameplay.

Yakuza Kiwami is still a very good game and it is clear that the debut of the SEGA series on Nintendo Switch is great news, especially with the next model of the console on the horizon. On a narrative and artistic level, Kazuma Kiryu's story doesn't feel the weight of its years and remains remarkably engaging, also with so many activities and mini-games to support it.

Azure Striker Gunvolt is a unique take to the Mega Man genre which we have been missing for years. Some stages and concepts are kinda questionable, but the core gameplay is fun and exciting and we can't wait to see where Inti Creates will take it.

Hell is Us is a video game unlike most others: it is bold in addressing current and brutal themes such as the war ravaging the Middle East, showing the atrocities of conflict without compromise, and in giving players both the honor and the burden of keeping track of their own progress in the story, completely removing from the equation any markers or indicators that might point out the path or highlight elements of interest. At times, perhaps, it overestimates the player’s attention span, perceptiveness (and memory!), forcing connections that aren’t always immediate, but it’s flattering that it dares to try, and that it succeeds most of the time. It’s a pity, then, that the combat system clashes with the rest of the game: it feels uninspired, simplistic, and never tries to reinvent itself to provide the same kind of mental stimulation that the rest of the experience strives for. Not everything holds together as it should in this title, but we are certain that some of its elements will stay with us for a long time.

The PC version of The King of Fighters XIII is the best on the market, due its flawless netcode and the inclusion of the DLC's contents in the base pack.

Tales of Berseria was one of the most innovative titles in the series, if only for its cynical narrative that challenged the player's perspective with far from trivial themes and twists. But already in 2016, Bandai Namco's game suffered from technical limitations that a remaster can only partially address. That being said, we obviously recommend Tales of Berseria Remastered to fans of action-packed JRPGs who have never played it or who feel bereft of the series, awaiting better times.

Chris Taylor and his Supreme Commander are back with the same structure of the first episode and a bunch of new features related to the single player campaign, now with a strong narrative component, and more easy to pick up mechanics. The result is a must buy for the strategy audience.

Burnout CRASH! is a good conversion, but with the same problems of the PS3/Xbox 360 versions. The concept is interesting, but the gameplay is unfortunately really disappointing.

Arms is delightful, even if it's not perfect. The single-player experience doesn't have much to offer and the multiplayer modes lack of some basic features you would expect from a competitive game. But Arms' first punch is a really strong one. It has irresistible characters and a very solid, fun and deep gameplay that make the game a true heir to Punch Out.

Reaching the end of a game of Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes doesn't take very long—assuming everything goes smoothly—but we are nonetheless talking about a highly replayable title that thrives precisely on the variety of situations it presents and the weight of the choices you are called upon to make. This is particularly true of the system events, which, in our view, constitute the game's most successful element due to the sheer range of scenarios they offer. The combat mechanics work well, too—characterized by their lean, responsive nature—though they do tend to become somewhat repetitive over the long haul. All in all, after about 25 hours, we felt fully satisfied with the experience, even though the publisher claims there are 50 hours' worth of content available for completionists. Considering the accessible price point, there really is nothing to complain about.
