Nimble Quest is a cute little game, but that's about it: it lacks the sheer originality and refined gameplay of Nimblebit's previous titles, and therefore is a game you might put down way too soon.

As a dominant genre, 3D platformers have become increasingly rare these days, and perhaps thanks to this situation, SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide is particularly enjoyable. It revives the genre in its most classic form, focusing heavily on the typical characterization of the series from which it is taken. A well-made tie-in, obviously aimed at big SpongeBob fans but which could appeal to anyone looking for a light-hearted game, especially younger players.

The Midnight Walk is an experience that is definitely worth living. In the foreground is its artistic value, which passes through an exceptional design and the manufacturing of the clay models. But it is impossible not to mention the work on the sound, with some of the most beautiful tracks we have happened to listen to recently, and a unique attention to the entire audio sector. Some gameplay mechanics may not be unforgettable, but MoonHood's title is more than the sum of its parts, and in the 5-6 hours needed to complete it, it tells an important story about heat. Not only that of the sun, but also that of empathy and understanding others.

Mafia II has a good plot, rude, violent and with a wonderful narrative. But Mafia II is also a good action where the adventure and the free roaming create the perfect gameplay mix all together with the fast shooting and the realism of the driving sequence.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon is a brutal roguelike which requires focus, commitment and a deep sense of strategy, hence fans of the genre will fall in love with it and Etrian veterans will recognize every major feature in its colorful characters and environments. This is a cross-over done right.

A strategic that scrupulously respects the lore of Warhammer 40,000, but at the same time puts too much meat on fire. Among the pros we mention the excellent graphic rendering, the large number of units and the tactical depth.

Hardcore Mecha is a title suspended halfway between the brawler and the platformer: it will certainly satisfy the lovers of big robots.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble is what it is: an arcade game today as it was 23 years ago. We appreciated its richness of levels, some level design ideas, but above all its honesty and consistency in showing itself today as it did then as humble but straightforward, immediate and fun.

A new dogfight game that can be appreciated by arcade gamers but also by players who love simulation and realism. Many missions, the Hystorical Campaign and a good online multiplayer complete a game that everyone needs to try.

Need for Speed Unbound delivers a controversial "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" style, with cel-shaded characters within a realistically rendered world, but gameplay-wise the beautiful open world of Lakeshore City is somewhat not much interesting to explore.

A solid Rally game that shows KT Racing experience with WRC Franchise. Despite the introduction of hybrid WRC cars, the game does not offer great news and remains anchored in its past. For better or for worse.

With Amnesia: The Bunker, Frictional Games returns to pure horror, expanding and reworking the theoretical foundation it had already demonstrated with Penumbra and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The result is one of the most terrifying experiences in recent years, in terms of video games, highly elaborate in design and harsh towards the player, to the point of being jagged in its distressing apparent simplicity.

Reality is very expensive in this real warfare simulator from Bohemia Interactive. The game is very tough and difficult to manage but the campaign is very well devised, full of twists and turns, but its impossible not to mention the huge amounts of glitches and bugs here and there.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD offers a rigid and "old-school" experience, challenging and punishing with its checkpoints, sometimes bordering on sadism. Yet its level design remains pure and pristine, and the dynamism of its action is unchanged: if you're looking for a demanding game, if you're daring enough to seek substance in depth rather than simply completing stages, it is still one of the best platformers ever made.

For competitive players Street Fighter V is just spotless. The fighting is solid and the new mechanics are superb, but you don't have to be a veteran to enjoy playing it. On the single-player side, the game still feels inadequate to guide the newcomers to the online arena, but with several DLC already planned, this lacking element should just be temporary.

EPOCH is no doubt one of the most interesting shooters available on the App Store. You can use a lot of different weapons and fight a lot of different enemies through a nice single player campaign that you have to complete three times, at different difficulty levels, to find out what happened to the person your robot was supposed to protect. The graphics are gorgeous thanks to the Unreal Engine, the touch controls work fine.
