Little Rocket Lab won’t replace titans of the genre for hardcore optimization fans, but it doesn’t need to. It fills a niche those games never tried to: automation as an act of care and restoration rather than domination. If you love building systems but crave a quieter, more human context, something closer to Stardew Valley this is one of 2025’s most charming indie surprises.

For players looking for something experimental and offbeat, Crazy HDC offers a glimpse of what could’ve been a great indie gem. But for anyone seeking depth, polish, or long-term replayability, it might leave you wandering the dungeon in search of more.

Despite some of the flaws of this game, I enjoyed my time with Daimon Blades. The combat felt great and fast-paced and I enjoyed the progress system. Much of my complaints about this game are things that I hope will get fixed on future updates to the early access version or the full game release. The is currently listed at $34.99 USD on Steam, so I’d understand if most would want to hold off on it till full release or sale. Regardless, if what I described sounded like it was up your alley, then show the devs some support and give this game a shot. If you’ve got a friend you could convince to get this game, it has multiplayer. All-in-all, I hope that this game continues to polish a lot of its rough edges till full release.

Chicken Run: Eggstraction is a fun-filled stealth adventure that is suited to older children and adults. This single-player or couch cooperative game is amusing but occasionally challenging. Avoiding detection isn't always easy and using your special chicken powers can be the only way to save your fellow chooks.

Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition is a fast and hectic racing game. It can be played alone or locally with another. Though I became tired of the shallow action, my kids enjoyed the simplicity and vibrant graphics.

I think the developers at Team Soda did a great job. I would recommend this to players who enjoy a grind and a challenge. If crafting, looting, questing and cute ducks are your thing, then Escape From Duckov might be the game for you. I’m also glad that Battlestate Games is embracing/promoting the game despite the obvious parody of Escape From Tarkov.

PowerWash Simulator 2 is everything I hoped it would be. It is big, bold, and disgusting. I loved the new levels, fresh ideas, and exciting mechanics. Whether you play it alone, cooperatively, or online, you'll adore it.

Absolum is a delicately crafted beautiful game, with amazing artwork, an interesting story and characters, along with highly addictive combat.

NASCAR 25 is a good simulation, including multiple modes that, while similar in some aspects, let players experience the breadth of the racing experience. It’s not the most beginner-friendly product in the world, and I doubt that it will catch on with those outside the sport’s sphere of influence, but longtime fans should be satisfied with the offer on display.

ZOE Begone is a challenging, old-school title. It was often too hard for my liking and this was off putting. However, if this is your thing, you'll enjoy the tough ways and fantastic visuals.

It’s got brains, it’s got personality, and it definitely has enough jelly to go around..Not perfect, but I’d still recommend it. Jelly Troops has a good idea, a good loop, and just enough charm to make the wait times worth it.

A creepy short story, with unsettling art and a nice, if unexplored, central gameplay mechanic.

Gloomy Eyes is a wholesome and memorable puzzle title. The sombre setting, interesting characters, and fascinating problems will keep you hooked. Sadly, it is too short and I wanted more. However, I loved every moment.

Pine Hearts is much more than just a puzzle game; it’s a therapeutic little retreat. It’s a beautifully crafted experience built around the simple, universal themes of family, memory, and finding peace in the past. If you are looking for a game with high-octane action, this might not be your cup of tea. But if you are seeking a wonderfully cozy, low-stress adventure that respects your time and fills your heart with warmth, the Android version of Pine Hearts is an absolute must-download. The charming pixel art, and the gentle narrative structure make it one of the best cozy games I’ve played on a mobile device this year. I highly recommend taking a trip back to the caravan park, it’s a journey you won’t soon forget.

Barbie Horse Trails is a wonderfully safe and vibrant child-friendly affair. It uses a large open world and simple tasks to encourage children to explore. Moreover, it is easy to play and simple to master. Though it isn't great for older children or adults, it is ideal if you have Barbie-loving children.

Overall, I had a blast and will definitely continue playing this one post-review. I haven’t beaten all the chapters yet and I’ve heard the Old One Cthulhu itself makes an appearance. If you were or still are a fan of boomer shooter games such as Doom, I encourage you to give this one a try! I would also recommend this game to those that enjoy the oddities of the Lovecraftian genre as the attention to details will fully immerse you within a Lovecraftian world. A big bravo to Byte Barrel and I’ll be sure to keep my eyes open for what they do next.

This isn’t a game that will appeal to modern gamers. The dated appearance and unusual controls will be a turn-off. However, if you are in your late 30s or older, you’ll enjoy the retro nature of this title. I think the developer has delivered a solid puzzle adventure experience, and The Order of the Snake Scale is an uncomfortable, but enjoyable jaunt.

Is Mamorukun ReCurse! for everyone? No. Is Mamorukun ReCurse! even for most people? Probably not. The game caters to a very niche audience with its gameplay and art style, but that shouldn’t take away from the fact that the package on offer is solid, and those who appreciate the genre will find it a decent addition to their collection.

Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club will make fans of the franchise smile. It is fun, silly, and easy to play. Furthermore, I love the story, the characters, and the simple mini-games. The perfect game for kids and lovers of Peanuts.

Strange Antiquities is a pleasantly cosy experience, with a nice dusting of horror on top. It doesn't have a tremendous amount of replay value, though.

Ghost of Yōtei is definitely a better game than Ghost of Tsushima, but I believe that it’s not just an improved GOT but rather a new game built on the foundations of Ghost of Tsushima. This game really lives up to the expectations and even goes higher, and the only thing that is keeping it from getting a perfect score is some minor issues with stealth and parts of the story.

Otherwar is a retro hybrid title that took a little getting used to. However, once I came to terms with the slow-pace, interesting mechanics, and weird bugs, I enjoyed the challenge and pixelated visuals.

Folly Of The Wizards is just a boring, repetitive game. Mechanics, relics and weapons are never fully explained. The affinity system is interesting but never becomes something good. Another confusing addition that is just confusing. All this makes the game frustrating. Graphics and the level design is good and some of the boss fights are cool and challenging. Unfortunately, this is one roguelike where you do not want to try again after dying. There are better options out there in this genre. Folly Of The Wizards isn’t one of them.

Mortal Sin is the first dungeon crawler I have ever played, and I now have very high expectations for the rest. This was because of Its fun and addictive combat, appealing graphics and well designed enemies and areas, just to name a few. There aren't many games that I review which I want to go back and put more hours in, however with Mortal Sin I can't help myself but want to experience more of the fast-paced and bloody combat.

Wander Stars is a lovely little JRPG that never overstays its welcome, with a cute, charming cast and a fun but basic combat system. Broken down into parts, it’s nothing special, but as a complete package it might just be one of my favourite gaming experiences of this year. And keep in mind; I am not an anime fan and have never seen an episode of Dragonball, so if you are then this is an even bigger no brainer, especially at just £21 on Steam. Like its own protagonist, Wander Stars is short, punchy and sweet.

Mars First Logistics isn’t just a quirky physics sim; it’s a rare kind of magic. It takes a pile of parts, a stretch of Martian dust, and your stubborn curiosity, then turns it all into something deeply satisfying. There’s no hand-holding, no flashy cutscenes, just you, your machine. And when that machine finally works, when your delivery makes it across the ridge and lands clean, it’s a rush no scripted moment could match. If every big studio chased gameplay like this instead of polish for polish’s sake, we’d be living in a golden age again. Mars may be empty, but this game? It’s bursting with soul.

NBA Bounce is a simple but fun sports title for younger gamers. It is colourful, easy to understand, and loaded with official NBA teams. Though the action won't appeal to serious fans, it'll make your children squeal with joy.

Formula Legends neither caters to the casual fans enough with simple controls, nor offers a comprehensive history lesson that the hardcore might enjoy. Instead, it tries its best to satisfy both audiences, but its identity crisis (and lack of licenses) makes it difficult to please anyone. It may be an interesting option for those looking to experiment with a semi-realistic racing game, but it’s difficult to see why anyone would choose it over competing titles.
