An important and very welcome turning point for the series, with a more enjoyable and spectacular gameplay, and a greatly improved storytelling. If you're intrigued by air combat and don't mind a more forgiving and arcade approach, it's a recommended buy.

Even if with four years behind it, Crysis arrives on Xbox 360 in great shape with a compelling campaign, great environments and one of the best graphics around. Too bad for the complete lack of multiplayer, a lacklustre enemy AI and some bugs and problems here and there, but if you never played this game on PC, it's an highly recommended buy.

An amazing title, greatly improved both in gameplay, simulation and graphics, and with some great additions like the stunning Autovista mode. We would have loved if the developers pushed the envelope further by adding night racing and weather conditions, but it's nevertheless an unmissable buy for every motorsports lover.

Dark Souls is a game without compromises: you'll either love or hate it. The very high difficulty level could discourage the less undaunted players, but if you'll take your time to master its mechanics and "enter" into the game, you'll be rewarded with one of the most satisfying and memorable experiences in your life as a gamer.

An entertaining game with a good gameplay balanced between shooter and hack'n'slash mechanics; it only lacks on the variety side, but it will undoubtedly please every Games Workshop fan.

The Gunstringer is a very enjoyable game, fresh and fulfilling in every aspect. Definitely one of the best non party/fitness/dance games for Kinect, with great motion recognition and a smart co-op mode. Too bad for its shortness, which detracts from the overall value of the game, but it's however a suggested buy.

Yet another step forward for a great series: the new tactical defense system, the improved campaign mode and the new players collision engine make it an unmissable buy for every soccer fan.

Rise of Nightmares is a missed opportunity. The idea of a first person horror game made more immersive thanks to motion controls is a very good one, but it fumbles in the controls department due to a clunky exploration system and a too simplistic and repetitive combat system. It deserved to be better thought out and developed.

Rugby World Cup 2011 sports a solid gameplay foundation, but it's dragged down by a mediocre technical production ad the lack of content, limited only to the World Cup teams and competitions.

F1 2011 is a good step forward in the series with better driving model and simulation, great graphics and some nice ideas on the gameplay side. The experience is only partially ruined by the high loading times and some unexplainable pauses when entering and leaving the pit stops. It remains however a must-have for every F1 fan.

Gears of War 3 is what everyone was waiting for: a great ending for an epic saga with state of the art visuals, rock-solid gameplay and a feature-rich multiplayer. It obviously lacks that innovation and surprise factor that we can't expect from the last episode in a trilogy, but it is however one of the best and most polished games this gen.

A unique game, with great and distinctive artistic design; if you can turn a blind eye on the somewhat repetitive gameplay and quite short longevity, it could prove to be one of the most memorable visual experiences of this generation.

Dead Island is an entertaining game, with interesting locations and a good RPG component, even if sometimes too cumbersome. Its main problems reside in a disappointing technical production and annoying bugs that sometime prevent us from completing a mission, forcing us to reload the last save. It's a very good game concept, but too unpolished.

A very good and solid game, capable of perfectly blending its action and RPG souls and with good visuals and level design. Our major complaint is about it trying to get more of our money than other standard XBLA games, with an insidious pricing model and in-game currency packs: this could create some confusion in the players.

A disappointing game, failing both on the graphics side and the gameplay mechanics side, like with the lumbering cover/aim system and the lacking multiplayer. The single-player campaign is capable of delivering some good moments of destructive action, but it isn't enough.

The shift mechanic proved to be unexpectedly good providing lots of destructive fun on the streets of San Francisco, even in the dedicated multiplayer modes. Too bad for a forgettable story: the very good CGI cut-scenes deserved a better canvas to be painted on. It's however a solid and entertaining game, a very good starting point for Ubisoft to build upon.

Even judging by kids standards, Kung Fu Panda 2 is ruined by flaws like bad movements recognitions and long load times. There are better Kinect games out there.

A real surprise and one of the most interesting games of the year, with a great cyberpunk mood and an highly satisfying gameplay expecially for those willing to go the stealth/hacker way. It isn't flawless though, with problems like overcompressed cut-scenes - we'd preferred a multi-disk release to this - and the immersion-breaking bad lip-sync in the italian version dubbing, but it undoubtedly is an advised buy.

Captain America: Super Soldier isn't a bad game, but it lacks that brightness and polish that can make the difference between an acceptable game and a good or very good one.

One of the most entertaining Kinect games thanks to the high levels of light hearted and direct fun it's capable to deliver, expecially if played with friends. A great debut for Kinect on Live Arcade.

The best title in the series yet, thanks to the great anime style visuals and the addition of a bit of strategic gameplay. Koei needs to work on the confusing story and the dull and repetitive environments, though.

Call of Juarez: The Cartel doesn't add anything special to the FPS landscape except for the three-characters storyline, with a mediocre and unpolished technical production. A big step backwards compared to Bound in Blood, and departing from the old wild west setting didn't help.

Hunted: The Demon's Forge doesn't excel in anything in particular and is hindered by noticeabel graphical and AI problems, but it manages to offer a fair amount of fun if played in co-op. We expected much more, but if you like fantasy games you could be willing to give it a chance.

A missed chance, expecially after the very good War for Cybertron. Unpolished and too short, its main value resides in the story bridging the second and third movie.
