If all you want is a visually stimulating arcade style racer, this Need For Speed checks the right boxes. Its price is a bit steep, at $9.99 and $6.99 for iOS and Android, respectively, but those willing to spend the cash shouldn't walk away disappointed. Penny pinchers, though, should give Gameloft's Asphalt 7: Heat a serious look, since it provides a similar experience for just $0.99.- Modojo

It's a shame that the game's second half diminishes the appeal.- Modojo

It's rare to see something this good for free, and with that being said, dismissing this game would be ill advised.- Modojo

Throw in a year of downloadable puzzles, one per day starting October 28, and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask will definitely satisfy your demand for quality puzzle gameplay.- Modojo

We dig the character designs, cartoon world and smashing things. At the same time, the controls need tweaking, and the lack of options in this department make the game a bit more irritating than it should be. Bottom line, it's the best He-Man game we've played, but there's still work to be done.- Modojo

In many ways, True Skate represents the very best of what can be achieved with mobile gaming. It makes a virtue out of touchscreen controls, rather than a burden, and it's hard to see how any traditional controller could provide a more tactile and intuitive feel for the skate experience.- Modojo

It's a juddering, technically incompetent, nauseating, migraine-inducing example of non-fun, with level design that sucks whatever joy might otherwise have been had from the game. It costs nothing to download and will drive you up the wall in exchange for your time.- Modojo

Monster Quest isn't a revolution in the genre, leaning as heavily as it does on elements of other successful games. What GREE has managed to achieve however is to blend those elements together in such a way that the end result is a deeper experience.- Modojo

We think quite highly of The Price is Right Slots, and feel it's a wonderful companion for players in need of a gambling fix, one that won't result in them losing their paychecks.- Modojo

Diehard, mobile-owning Cavanagh fans won't think twice about downloading Don't Look Back, and they're quite right to do so. While we can't help but shudder at the thought of playing the teased VVVVV on mobiles, we'd far rather Cavanagh had a chance to acclimatize to touchscreen controls before embarking on what will likely be his most high-profile mobile endeavor.- Modojo

Crosswords Plus is one of the handheld's more enjoyable and satisfying puzzle games, one that overflows with value. It lacks visual punch, but pound for pound, it goes quite well with a tropical drink.- Modojo

There's a great deal to do in Marvel War of Heroes, and while it doesn't quite cause a revolution in the genre, Mobage can only be accused of giving gamers exactly what they want with a few new twists.- Modojo

If you really want another runner in your life (and, critically, you've already purchased and exhausted Polara), there's no reason you won't get a dollar's worth of fun out of Save Them All. Just don't expect a revolution in the genre that goes behind the time-limit gimmick, and do expect the occasional moment of frustration.- Modojo

Humorous, original and challenging (perhaps a little too challenging at times), Girls Like Robots should go to the top of the download list for any puzzle gamer who thinks they've seen everything the genre has to offer.- Modojo

It's not often we get to play a game like Kumo Lumo. It's highly original, rewarding and playful. Even the occasional rough edge (such as the repetitive character voicing) can't take the shine off what is an extraordinarily fresh direction for mobile gaming. A very fine start to the week indeed.- Modojo

Pilot isn't the most sophisticated game you'll ever play on your mobile phone, and it's easy to see why the game has divided players so strongly with its avaricious unlock system. Yet in the same way that Farming Simulator 2012 scratched an itch we never knew existed, there's something to said for the absorbing, hypnotic charms of even the basic free gameplay that's on offer.- Modojo

There a moments of jubilation to accompany the frustration, and there's just about enough here to make the game worthy of investigation. Just don't take it too seriously as a simulation of the game.- Modojo

Topia World Builder is as fine a toy as any videogame out there, and is just as deep as your imagination is prepared to travel. If you need at least some direction in your gaming, you may be frustrated before you uncover its wonders, but for those who are prepared to dig a little deeper the game has plentiful treasure to be unearthed.- Modojo

While not the most advanced RPG in the world, it manages to entertain through its AR mechanic, the desire to uncover new Denpa Men and the constant leveling. Definitely one of the quirkiest, most unique titles on 3DS, by far.- Modojo

Paper Toss Friends would certainly benefit from a little more variety in the environments and scoring objectives, but there's still much to be mastered in this very enjoyable time-waster. Social gaming fiends who crave something different from the typical word-puzzling fare should definitely check this one out.- Modojo

Taken at face-value, it would be easy to dismiss the game, but what separates Amazing Runner from the rest of the endless-running pack is that on a minute-to-minute basis it's actually fun and refreshing to play. It still leans far too heavily on some established genre tropes, particularly in the upgrade store, but anyone look for a highly polished take on this most saturated area of the App Store would do very well to make this their next destination.- Modojo

NBA 2K13 may be a sloppy mess at times, but it's still one of the more enjoyable basketball games for smartphones and tablets, one that'll presumably get better well into the season as 2K Sports tinkers behind the scenes, as it should.- Modojo
