Digimon Story Time Stranger is a good game that can serve as a gateway to discovering this universe, offering an interesting story to follow, comprehensive gameplay with diverse and varied environments, and substantial content ranging from simple routine missions to card or creature collecting, as well as battles that sometimes require a certain amount of preparation. Not to mention fans who will find their favorite digital monsters from all generations, as well as the progression system that is the strength of this title. So, is it worth the price? If you're a fan of J-RPGs, yes, but if you're not, we recommend trying the demo first.

Hades 2 is the worthy successor to its little brother released in 2020. More beautiful, more complete, more addictive, more varied, and above all, even bigger in terms of content, Supergiant Games treats us once again with their most comprehensive project to date. If you played the first one, you'll love this one, and if you haven't... you'll probably love it even more! A new masterpiece not to be missed, which, even if we're starting to see the formula worn thin, still works and will keep you busy all fall and even winter if necessary, no problem.

Very enjoyable and more pleasant to play than Dying Light 2 in some respects, thanks in particular to its highly satisfying parkour and no-frills adventure, Dying Light the Beast remains a minor episode in Techland's series. Despite a smaller play area and a very short campaign, the game still ends up becoming repetitive after a few hours, due to uninteresting side activities and a poorly constructed map. The basics of the gameplay are there and they're still as good as ever, but that's not enough to make it a memorable experience.

Ultimately, EA Sports FC 26 is still a more interesting version than its predecessor, with a large number of teams, substantial content, and increasingly comprehensive gameplay thanks to its separation into two distinct styles. Of course, it's far from perfect, and this is evident in a number of areas, such as optimization, particularly on PC, and the various bugs that can be encountered during games. So, is it worth the price? It's hard to say, because if you're a soccer fan, you'll have plenty to keep you busy in single-player and online modes, but if you want to discover a game series based on this sport, you might want to wait for a future installment.

Ghost of Yotei is stunning, with beautiful music and high-quality production on many levels. But the same cannot be said for its content. The story is clumsy, while the open world offers the same unoriginal routine, saved only by the beauty of the landscapes. The gameplay is effective, and the introduction of different weapons adds a touch of variety and strategy to the combat, even if it's not without a few clunky moments. Players who have managed to escape the genre until now should appreciate it more.

The Ivalice Chronicles is a beautiful love letter to Final Fantasy Tactics, embellished in a more beautiful version, crafted with a polished interface and full voice acting that breathes new life into this nearly 30-year-old adventure. It's a satisfying experience and exactly what we expected, even if we were hoping for a little more given the game's price tag. Nevertheless, all fans of the original will be won over and will have a great time in this adventure that has aged surprisingly well, even if the gameplay may still be a bit slow for younger players who would have liked to discover the game in this new version, although the new features do a decent job of compensating for this slowness.

So, is Silent Hill f a worthy representative of the cult saga? The answer is nuanced. Yes, certain elements remind us of what we love about Silent Hill: a chilling soundscape, memorable bosses, an oppressive atmosphere. But no, it's not the rebirth we were hoping for: the graphics are disappointing, the story lacks maturity, and, above all, the combat system weighs down the experience. I wouldn't say that Silent Hill f is a bad game. It contains interesting ideas, moments of grace, and proves that the franchise still has something to say. But it's not yet the big comeback that will put the first Silent Hill games back at the top of survival horror. In short, Silent Hill f is a step sideways. Not the revolution we were hoping for, but an attempt that will hopefully pave the way for a more ambitious future.

Hollow Knight: Silksong almost lives up to the community's insane expectations, which is quite an achievement in itself. Its production values are incredible for an indie game, and it's paired with solid gameplay and impressively rich content. Its main problem is its overly steep difficulty curve, combined with a few balancing issues and other clumsy design choices that are likely to frustrate players. Without these issues, it would be almost perfect. This is not a game for the mainstream audience, and in many ways, it proves to be more demanding and punishing than the titles that serve as benchmarks in this area, such as Dark Souls. Before you start playing, be prepared to spend several hours dying over and over again on a number of bosses.

Solidly grounded, Borderlands 4 is a satisfying looter shooter, with a quest for the ultimate equipment that will undoubtedly appeal to many players. But the transition to an open world hasn't been entirely smooth, and despite all the nice new features in this installment, it's hard to get overly invested in the planet Kairos: generic activities, erratic difficulty, and an overall pace that's choppy due to too many dialogue sequences somewhat spoil the fun. Is this enough to prevent you from fully enjoying a 100% co-op game with very decent content? Not sure.

Lost Soul Aside is far from being as bad as its online ratings and reviews would suggest. Despite its apparent shortcomings and “amateurish” feel, the China Hero Project has a certain charm and, above all, extremely dynamic and addictive gameplay that carries the game. Despite its 10 years of development and unique story, the game suffers from a noticeable lack of budget and, above all, an abominable prologue, but it manages to offer an appealing experience once you get past the first hour, even if it is full of imperfections. It's certainly not worth the €70 price tag, but we highly recommend it once the price drops to around €30-40.

NBA 2K26 is the best installment in the series to date, and is probably the most comprehensive sports game on the market. It offers countless game modes, all powered by the revamped ProPLAY engine, which breathes new life into the gameplay and realism offered by the game. A must-have for all NBA fans who want to play with both current and past rosters, as well as the entire WNBA, which is coming to MyTEAM mode this year. This is probably the best installment in the series, and even though there is still room for improvement in many areas, it will clearly do the job for the 2025-2026 season.

To complete the story of Cronos: The New Dawn, you need to play for around 20 hours, which is actually enough. Admittedly, there is sometimes a slight feeling of redundancy, particularly with regard to the monsters and bosses, where I really felt like I was fighting one battle after another at one point, but this is quickly forgotten thanks to the environment, gameplay, and story. What's more, if you like a challenge, you'll be in for a treat: I don't think I've been so frustrated with a game in a long time, especially when it comes to the bosses... But what a feeling when you succeed!

Hell is Us is another title that would have been better suited to being a movie rather than a game. Rather than focusing on Souls-like action or puzzles to offer solid gameplay, it attempts to combine these two radically different genres, and the result is disappointing. Finding an audience looking for both of these experiences at once is difficult enough, but they have also been treated superficially, even clumsily, because of this ill-advised compromise. It is therefore unlikely that they will satisfy the majority of players. This is all the more unfortunate given that the overall production is of fairly good quality and the atmosphere is sometimes incredible. Hell is Us confronts us with the horrors of war in a way that few games dare to do, but its message risks being lost in the wanderings of the gameplay.

Gears of War Reloaded is undoubtedly the best version to try out this iconic saga of its genre. And while we may regret a certain ease in the formula proposed by The Coalition to bring Epic Games' game up to date, a certain laziness even to be more blunt, it remains a very good game to discover in Game Pass. We highly recommend it... but probably not at the price it is offered outside of Game Pass: graphics filters at the price of full games, enough is enough.

If you're looking for a game to keep you busy while you wait for the next Animal Crossing, Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar might be just what you need. It's a game that lets you live a relaxing life on a farm without any stress, taking your time to achieve your goals. However, it may also bore you if you don't like doing repetitive tasks.

Konami is playing it cool with this remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, one of the most popular episodes in the series, presented here in a luxurious package. The work of the Japanese publisher and Virtuos gives Snake a nice facelift under Unreal Engine 5, while retaining what made the 2004 release so appealing. Very short and too easy in normal difficulty mode, MGS Delta is a title that needs to be explored several times to fully appreciate its gameplay, which is much deeper and more interesting than it first appears.

Mafia: The Old Country suffers from the same problems as its predecessors. It's halfway between a narrative game and an open-world action-stealth game, but without the means to achieve its ambitions. We end up with uninteresting stealth sequences and implausible combat that undermines the credibility of the story. The world map serves only as a tourist attraction devoid of any activity. It's a shame, since the plot and characters are interesting, even if they don't escape the clichés typical of the genre. Nevertheless, it remains a beautiful glimpse into Sicilian society at the beginning of the last century, with high-quality production values.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a pure Souls-like that has absorbed and spat out what all its predecessors in the genre have been able to do in recent years. Overall, a satisfying experience that's worth its €49.99 price tag, even if it doesn't reinvent the formula and probably won't be remembered for years to come. A good summer experience for all fans of the genre, with killer gameplay, even if we'd have liked a little more simplicity in some of the game's systems, which are too complex at times for very little in the end.

Despite its few flaws and its quickly wrapped up main quest, Donkey Kong Bananza is a title of rare quality, capable of leaving its mark on the history of our beloved medium. For this second 3D adventure featuring the gorilla, Nintendo draws on 40 years of Donkey Kong games to appease long-time fans and bridge the gap with a new generation of players raised on Minecraft, thanks to intelligent destruction gameplay and endless surprises.

Crown Gambit is a nice little indie game, made in France, that will keep you busy for at least ten hours, or even longer if you get the hang of it and want to explore all the possibilities the game has to offer. The narrative adventure concept is very well thought-out, in an atypical dark fantasy universe that is accessible even to those who are not necessarily familiar with this genre. A pleasant surprise at a low price, which we recommend to you this summer while you wait for the bigger releases to come. The perfect game to play on Steam Deck, even if we regret that it's not available on other platforms.

Far from being perfect, Dune: Awakening offers an experience that is first Survival and then largely MMO once the “endgame” is reached, which few modern games have managed to offer consistently. And while, as with all MMOs, we'll have to see how the game evolves over time to have a real opinion on it, for the moment it's more than up to the task of living up to the genres it claims to embody, despite often disappointing combat and a number of bugs as redundant as they are annoying, which won't be enough to tarnish its reputation: Dune: Awakening is a success that will undoubtedly convince many fans of the two genres it embodies.

While Death Stranding 2 is overall a better-finished and more engaging game than its predecessor, it's also a less memorable experience. The grandiose environments presented with a beautiful soundtrack and the major improvements linked to progression fail to hide a Hideo Kojima who overdoes it and doesn't seem to know where he's going with this sequel. Despite all the pleasure we've taken in playing this second game, it's hard not to feel that it's undermining the legend of the first episode.

Whether you're a soccer fan or a football hater, if you like team games where individual skill is as important as knowledge of the game and trust in your partners, chances are you'll have a great time with Rematch. By bringing together everything that makes soccer a popular and enjoyable game, and changing the zenithal point of view for a much more immersive approach, Sloclap has once again succeeded in revolutionizing a genre that has been well established for years. Rematch is a shot of instant fun that will surprise any skeptic and make you feel like a pro right away, but will also remind you every two minutes that you need more practice. But while it's absolutely exhilarating to play Rematch, this pleasure is marred by a glaring lack of finishing touches, the absence of local multiplayer and server problems that we hope will soon disappear.

Although many elements of Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma remain fairly classic, this spin-off is perfectly suited to players who want to discover the universe of this franchise. And it doesn't forget the fans of the early days, since they'll be able to discover village management or the changes made to make the experience more enjoyable, even if many of the codes you're already familiar with are still present. After all, it's worth mentioning that it comes at a hefty price, which may put a damper on your desire to buy it.

With its open-world bias, Mario Kart World stands out directly from the rest of the series with a structure that destabilizes, and it's double-edged. The sublime panoramas offered by the arrival on the circuits and the extensive search for shortcuts clash with the long transition straights and a free roam mode that lacks true rewards. Nevertheless, this is still a high-quality title, with gameplay of unprecedented depth for the series, supported by a new Survival mode that is clearly the star of this new episode.

Elden Ring Nightreign is aimed at the most dedicated of FromSoftware's titles, as it condenses the best and the worst into a new, original format. At last, a Soulslike designed for true cooperative play. It's an intense, non-stop race, requiring you to concentrate for 45 minutes, while taking on difficult bosses and having to avoid making almost the slightest mistake. It's very addictive and you literally can't see the time go by, but it's exhausting and clearly not for everyone. It's a lot of fun, but you can't help but be frustrated by the studio's bad habits: an archaic interface, missing features, dubious balancing, but also a massive amount of recycling from previous titles, without offering the rich content we'd expect in return.

Doom The Dark Ages is a game of contrasts. It experiments with mechanics new to the license and a new historical context, but their integration is superficial or poorly thought-out. The shield overshadows everything else in combat, while the dragon and mecha are simply disappointing. Nor does the game give us the impression of being plunged into a dark age. This new opus isn't bad, however, since it contains all the basic elements we've come to appreciate in modern Doom games. Players looking for intense combat against a backdrop of consistently excellent heavy metal should still find something to enjoy.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is one of the best surprises of recent years. An XXL production from a small, passionate team, immersive, polished, addictive gameplay and told to perfection. A real lesson and a new benchmark for all JRPG enthusiasts, it should satisfy all fans of the genre, and particularly the generation that grew up with FF7, 8, 9 and 10, and that has less and less faith in Square Enix to make a really good new JRPG. A slap in the face we won't soon forget, and what's more, it's French - not bad, eh?
