Take a very good old school 2D platform and make an overhaul in the parts where it needs. The result? An even better game, that's Zack Zero in this PC version, whose gameplay and graphics feel and look better with the new improvements. One of the best indie platformers of 2012, this made in Spain Zack Zero is still too short, but a game all 2D platformer lovers should not miss on Steam.

It´s a poor man's Far Cry 3 without the stunning vistas and cut mechanics, but it´s also a fun homage to the 80s and Action Hero movies, all while delivering a nice and straightforward shooter.

Easily targeted as a Monster Hunter clone for the PS Vita, the new creation of Keiji Inafune emerges with a defined personality that shines throughout the whole experience. With a deep combat, customization and even crafting system, and one of the best artistic styles of the entire Vita library, Soul Sacrifice challenges us to a series of close, Arena-style fights against nightmarish creatures, which we can liberate or sacrifice, that advances in terms of its epic nature and visual scale. Maybe it feels repetitive playing solo, but to the fun multiplayer, the narrative piece of the Librom diary and the depth of the weapons ans Skills make it a one of a kind. One that will take us more than hours merely in its offline Campaign mode.

A fantastic game and a memorable story hidden in a technical mess. Sadly, the PS3 version has done little to improve this.

Are you a fan of Star Trek series? Forget Star Trek: The Video Game. Are you a fan of spacial third person shooters? Forget Star Trek: The Video Game. Digital Extremes hasn't done their work in this case, with uncontrollable cooperative mode. It's boring and very ugly. Not for trekkies, not for gamers.

An interesting game by itself, but loses some points when compared with its Wii U version. This version fits in Nintendo 3DS and can offer you some fun hours of LEGO platforming, fighting and collecting extras.

Riptide collects all the hallmarks of the first Dead Island, correcting some bad things but keeping others. The new island is wilder and natural, but it has fewer new ideas than we expected. Long and fun again.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen offers more challenge, monsters and secrets to the original Dragon's Dogma experience. With the same great combat system, but it has some important graphical issues.

It has not been the best launch, but still Defiance has potential to improve. The core mechanics are good and it can be a really fun game. Long term, it could become something really interesting.

In a point somewhere between the masterpiece D&D: Tower of Doom and the nightmarish Double Dragon 2: Wander of the Dragons is where we could situate this Sacred Citadel, a spin off that will be preparing the way for its older brother Sacred 3. Visually vibrant and colourful in a comic-esque style, it's a shame that its walkthrough seems like a rollercoaster, with great, funny playable action parts and others boring or insanely harder. Give it a try if King of Dragons means something for you. Definitely get it if you planned to play it in coop with a couple of friends, the greatest element of the whole game and its reason to be.

Dishonored has a good DLC in The Knife of Dunwall. Daud's story begins, with average length, but some adjustments that make it fun to kill and hide. It's more accurate, and very dark and challenging.

Double Dragon II doesn't deserve this aberration. 1200 Microsoft Points for a short and repetitive sequence of levels where again and again you must press the same buttons. Its gameplay is worse than 25 years ago. In addition, its graphics and sound are very poor.

The Sims 3: University Life is an expansion that fans of the series will enjoy. It does not merely offer additional options, and goes a step further while presenting the possibility of having a completely different experience for a short period of our lives. Undoubtedly, this would have been one of the first expansions for the third installment of the series, instead of coming when everything seems to be so close to the end.

A pure shooter, a game that must be seen as a progressive challenge in order to compete. Its appeal is limited to only certain types of players but those who embrace it will have a really good experience.

Awakening is from far the best Fire Emblem experience to be found on a handheld. It's the most beautiful and yet accessible strategic game we've seen lately, and with a bunch of new additions to its gameplay mechanics it's difficult no to fall to its charms.

An excellent game made in the best tradition of Metroid or Symphony of the Night. Great combat system, striking visuals, superb artistic direction, notable humour and a really good soundtrack. The enemies get a bit repetitive and the evolution of the combat from El Luchador could be longer, but overall, a really recommended buy.

A symphony of pure horror, Slender: The Arrival make its official entrance in the videogames world with an short experience very limited in the gameplay aspect, but truly scary as hell. Every single apparition of the Slender Man and its Proxy is completely unexpected, and always make us jump run trying to escape from them, but the level design is like a rollercoaster: a few really memorable moments and other very uninspired.

It´s a great classic, it´s good to see it again and being able to buy it with the convenience of Steam, but it´s a bit pricey for what it offers and the first days have been problematic in the multiplayer. Good effort, but it could have been better.

BattleBlock Theater is like an HD version of the best Saturday-morning cartoon you can remember: hilarious, amazing in terms of visuals and also has one of the great co-op modes we've seen on Xbox Live Arcade. In short: Rayman Legends on acid, 'indie style'.

This version of Ninja Gaiden 3 is the best. It's complete thanks to new modes, Ayane special missions, the free DLC with Kasumi, more violence and, of course, it's more challenging. However, it still has fundamental mistakes.
