There may be less revenue from micropayments this year, but player opinions will improve, as it remains at the top of the sports genre in terms of both technical and gameplay. We hope this truly marks a turning point in the policy surrounding the game, and we can enjoy increasingly better and more player-friendly releases.

The Astral World is one of the best Nintendo Switch 2 Editions released to date. It comes with a 4 hours expansion featuring some truly eye-catching levels and a boost in smoothness and resolution that we now can't live without. It's still one of the character's best titles and a must-play platformer.

The remaster of the remaster of a remake from ten years ago. This Reloaded version of the first Gears of War is a beefed-up Ultimate Edition whose biggest appeal is the thrill of being released on PlayStation 5. If only they had put this kind of effort into the rest of the trilogy... is in much greater need of it.

Shinobi Art of Vengeance is the next big thing for modernized 2D games. Combat, platforming and visual style are top notch, but the game also manages to capture what made the Shinobi games of yesteryear remembered until today.

Although not as daring as Silent Hill 2, Metal Gear Solid Delta is just as good. Another remake worthy of its legacy, only let down by the AI and some animations.

Evil Empire proves that the success of Dead Cells is also thanks to them, and they gift us a truly worthy spiritual sequel. Let’s hope Ubisoft doesn’t hold them back — that will be the difference between a great game as it stands and the must-play title it has the potential to become.

Dune Awakening is a superb adaptation of the franchise created by Frank Herbert, in the form of an amusing blend of MMO and resource-gathering survival. Its possibilities are almost endless, and while the combat isn't entirely satisfying and the endgame needs some fine-tuning, this is one of the best recreations of the Dune universe in video game form that will captivate and entertain us for over 100 hours.

Narratively fantastic, it is clear that there are veterans from large studios involved because beyond a notable technical section, gameplay-wise it is capable of hiding many mechanics that we discover little by little, and that are sufficiently exploited.

Street Fighter 6 for Switch 2 is everything a fan of the series could hope for, now also in handheld format and with all the extras released so far. Journey to the Savage Planet was a pleasant surprise because it offered us the chance to delve into a kind of Metroid Prime that was much more casual than Retro Studios' title. Now, Revenge of the Savage Planet leaves that path behind and opts for massive content, despite being very consistent in most of its gameplay. It's a fun game packed with things to do, but we missed the more adventurous development of the first installment in the series. It's still a very enjoyable action-exploration title, especially in the company of a friend.
