A large number of mods (more than 100) and the fact that the game is never the same, no matter the starting options we choose, plus a community that is constantly active, all of this makes this a game that I would recommend to any fan of strategy games and RPGs.

The Last of Us Part II is a third person action game, a survival horror, an immersive sim, a walking Simulator, and snippets of so many others, all at the same time. Without the immensity of an open world, it masterfully emulates the sense of freedom, and without the classic features of an RPG, it has allowed us to make the characters our own. Or rather, the other way around. It is an evolution for the genre in terms of technical aspects and an exercise in maturity in terms of how it deals with its themes. Despite some sloppiness, it holds the highest of standards and sets the mold for what should be the next generation of AAA games.

Kentucky Route Zero begins on the road and expands to dozens of stories, all of them unforgettable. A must-play mystery and surreal adventure that took almost 10 years to be complete and has defined the ways of telling stories in video games, influencing many different titles.

The sum of all the elements that make up the game create a captivating game in every sense. Throughout the experience, there are fun moments, dramatic moments, mind-blowing combats, and, above all, a game full of heart. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 meets and exceeds every one of my expectations, making it one of my favorite games not only of the year, but in recent memory.

At a certain point, it becomes challenging to find the ideal words to describe Granblue Fantasy: Relink because I feel that none are sufficient. Rare are the games that leave me feeling this way. Those games that, no matter how hard I try to find a negative aspect, I cannot. Those games that I want to keep playing for hours on end without a break, like when I was a carefree child. Those games that remind me why I love video games. And Granblue Fantasy: Relink is one of those games.

One of those video games that kicks the board and changes the rules. One of those experiences that leaves you thinking all the time when you're not operating your controls. Is that called a masterpiece? For me, without a doubt.

Once again, Capcom leaves us speechless. We are only in the middle of March and this Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games of the year, along with the Dead Space remake. We are facing an immense proposal, with an amazing cost and production design, which is reflected in every aspect of the game. The direction is incredible, the design is incredible.

There are many reasons why Loop Hero is an amazing game, such as the combination of different mechanics from different genres, setting up the road and your camp as if it were a strategy game, building our hero as if it were an RPG and the story, very similar in storytelling to graphic adventures of yesteryear. All of this makes a combo that everyone should enjoy.

Dead Space Remake is a game that we needed. EA and Motive, in the same way as Capcom with their Resident Evil remakes, have marked a path. And that path will place this title on the podium of the best of 2023, without a doubt.

Simple controls and tactical complexity merge to achieve the year’s best wargame in Unity of Command II. It’s a game that forces you to optimize each one of your moves, like a classic board game in the style of Risk, but without the randomness. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this game, either to novices or veterans of the genre.

Saros establishes itself as one of the best releases in the genre, demonstrating—once again—the talent of Housemarque. Its superb and precise gameplay shines in every combat encounter, making it a memorable game.

The Ascent is a simple RPG with great gunplay. Amazing graphics and highly enjoyable action-packed gameplay in a game where every combat is eventful.

Spiritfarer turned out to be a grand sea adventure of resource management, which added a generous collection of stories through a memorable cast of characters, all of them animated in a most sublime way so to give this game a feeling of pure magic.

Inscryption, without a doubt, is one of the best indie games of 2021. In the indie scene, there are quite a few risky and unique projects, but few are also as fun in the most playful sense as Inscryption.

Pragmata, Capcom's new IP, is a fantastic experience in which the lead duo steals the show, standing out against an excellent technical execution and exquisite gameplay.
