This puzzler, based on the classic brain strainer Rubik's Cube, is a collection of challenges divided into a series of minigames. It's simple but both fun and challenging and suitable for anyone with a desire to solve the cube. There are two extra modes where you can create music and build with blocks, but they don't add much to the experience. Nevertheless, if you're in the market for a brain strainer on the Wii this is a good bet.- Level7.nu

This game can be seen as a hybrid between Call of Duty 4 and Gears of War 2, with tons of action but unfortunately also a lack of identity. Despite being a movie tie in the game actually has a greater focus on Casino Royale than Quantum of Solace, making the overall experience somewhat incoherent. A great multiplayer mode is the killer feature in a game that will have a hard time competing for our attention this fall.- Level7.nu

Resistance 2 is a great game in every way. The presentation is slick, the pacing is great, the story gains momentum after a somewhat slow start and the multiplayer is as meaty as it is fun. Even though this game lacks that little extra something to distinguish it from it's competitors this fall it's still fantastic experience and the robust multiplayer mode with support for up to 60 players is reason enough to give this title a try.- Level7.nu

Madagascar offers what you'd expect from it - fun entertainment for the young ones. There's a lot of variation and the controls actually work really well, a not to common feat amongst movie tie in games. There are flaws to be found though, the game is far too short and the gameplay is a bit too simple. This isn't a game that will inspire you to play it through a second time, but the first time around will be pleasing enough.- Level7.nu

This is a somewhat odd product. There are really excellent songs to be found here, but everything else in the package feels empty and lackluster. Since it's possible to buy a number of AC/DC albums in the Rock Band store already we're having trouble identifying the purpose of this game. Because of this we can only recommend this title for AC/DC fans, if at all.- Level7.nu

Fallout 3 is a great realisation of the Fallout franchise in the third dimension, backed by the great tech that powered Bethesda's prior success Oblivion. But the game's greatest strength is also it's greatest weakness. Although you have a wealth of great content to wade through there is also a great deal of repetitive environments and missions. This being said, these minor flaws aren't enough to dampen what is otherwise a great roleplaying adventure and of the best games of 2008.- Level7.nu

To the dismay of fans everywhere, here’s another Singstar-title with no ambition to innovate. Being able to buy songs through your PSP is a nice nuance, but the new duet-mode is the one great feature in an otherwise familiar package. A set of great and fun songs saves this title from earning a really low grade.- Level7.nu

With the first Motorstorm we were amazed by the stunning graphics, spectacular crashes and the aggressive AI. With Pacific Rift we are treated to some great new environments and courses but the developer Evolution Studios hasn't really found their direction for this sequel. Four player co-op is great but the news here aren't enough to redeem uneven graphics, unpredictable crashes and lack of direction.- Level7.nu

Building on top of the creative concept of MySims and adding a flavor of adventure, MySims Kingdom adds up to a compelling adventure in the same vein as the Lego adventures. The humour is charming and funny, the puzzles are interesting and the characters are lovable. MySims Kingdom is a really great game, but there are some major flaws hampering the experience, such as potentially game breaking bugs, which ultimately leads to a lower score.- Level7.nu

A shooting game for the Wii aimed at a younger audience and based on the joy of toy guns does sound like a match made in heaven. Unfortunately this is a prime example of an interesting concept hampered by poor execution. Initially you've got access to a number of mini games, some good, some bad. When you master these you unlock harder versions of these mini games. The gun that ships with the game works well, but the overall experience is too bland an uninspiring to be recommended to anyone.- Level7.nu

Little Big Planet could very well be a modern classic. Relying heavily on user content this game will only grow in splendor with time. The game does hold it's own though with great levels, beautiful graphics and fantastic four player co-op. A somewhat unrealised potential with regards to the controls and movement of charaters is the only thing standing in the way of a perfect score.- Level7.nu

This is a collection of mini games where EA has focused on ten celebrities instead of the actual gameplay, and it shows. A total of twelve mini games grow dreary after only one run and not even a gathering of friends is enough make this game passable. Back to the drawing board EA.- Level7.nu

A thoroughly enjoyable combination of rpg elements, social interactions and appealing presentation makes this a great adventure for all to experience. The fact that your actions always affects the rest of your experience does add a lot to the experience. There are a lot of bugs that mar the experience and the variety of enemies isn't exactly top notch, but Fable II will offer you a great adventure you don't want to miss out on.- Level7.nu

Bioshock for the PS3 is, like it was on Xbox 360, one heck of an fps-adventure. It's also still a tad bit linear and monotonous at times. But despite these minor flaws this is still a game where design and atmosphere sets the mark for other developers to aim for. Everything from your moral choices to the interconnected mythology of Rapture is intriguing and a must have for those who haven't experienced the Xbox 360 counterpart yet since this version is just as good in every way.- Level7.nu

With Web of Shadows developer Treyarch builds on top of the foundation they laid with Spiderman 3. As Spiderman the player is put in charge of saving the city from a state of decay. The substance that spawned Spideys arch nemesis Venom has run amok in the city with total chaos as a direct result. The premise of the game is interesting but a horrible game camera and an overall lackluster framing makes the experience passable at best.- Level7.nu

Far Cry 2 manages to lend the open world of typical RPG:s and mend it into a first person shooter. The trouble is that the game's world isn't properly adapted to the openness of the gameplay, leading to lots of tedious stretches of transportation. A somewhat silly AI and extremely tough enemies dampens what is otherwise a really competent shooter.- Level7.nu

The first couple of hours in Eternal Sonata are simply enchanting. Great design, graphics and music together create a truly endearing atmosphere. Battling enemies in the game is great fun as you progress in the game and delve deeper into the battle mechanics. The plot is a bit uneven though and the options for exploration, character development and equipment are meager to say the least. These flaws aside, this is still a great and beautiful adventure.- Level7.nu

This is a street racing game with a whole lot of style and soul than the competition. There are a few major flaws though and these are enough to lower the overall experience from tripple-A to simply pleasant. Games released by Rockstar are generally polished and slick productions, and this is no exception.- Level7.nu

With Monopoly for the Xbox 360 you're actually getting a really fun and well thought through experience worthy of the table top version. This very fact makes the absence of an online mode incomprehensible since this is an experience not meant to have by yourself. Because of this omission the table top version still rules supreme.- Level7.nu

Point and click-adventures aren't exactly released in abundant numbers these days, but Sam & Mac: Season One is one such release that manages to breathe life into the genre and add a healthy dose of humour into the mix at the same time. The sence of humour, the voice acting and and the script are all fantastic and the only annoying factor is that the puzzles can become a bit illogical at times. This might turn some people away from the experience, but have no doubt that this is a great and fun adventure.- Level7.nu

Sony's online shooter SOCOM is back and helmed by a new developer. The main goal with Confrontation seems to have been to cater to the existing fan base, a goal they do meet in a sense. Unfortunately this also feels like a rushed project, riddled with numerous bugs and other signs of a premature launch. Even though fans of the series will enjoy this game it's hard to recommend this game amongst the plethora of competent shooters out there.- Level7.nu

Think Grand Theft Auto 4, then replace all traces of realism with over the top exaggerated content and finally toss in a co-op mode online and you'll have an idea of what you can expect in Saint's Row 2. It's a great sandbox experience that puts emphasis on having fun while playing rather than looking slick. The major complaint is that because of the playful nature of the game there isn't much you'll take seriously in this game. If you're looking to play around, this is the game for you.- Level7.nu

Dead Space is something as unusual as a modern classic in the horror-genre. Everything from the graphics, the sound, lighting, shadows and environments make up an experience that unrivaled by possibly none in the genre. Dead Space is one of the first games that can actually be called a frightening game. With an intense and intriguing storyline, production values to die for and a great system for character development this is easily one of the best games you'll be able to play this year.- Level7.nu

The gameplay on the field might not be perfect this time around either and still feels a bit sluggish compared to PES, but the shear wealth of content and improvements on the field are still massive. The Be A Pro mode and all the online functionality makes this a huge step up for the series. FIFA 09 is the best edition yet and definitely worth your money.- Level7.nu

This unexpected sequel still maintains the cool feeling of being a ninja, but all too simplistic levels and monotonous gameplay hampers the experience. The presentation can often be a bit busy, making it difficult for the player in hectic situations. There is basically no replay value at all so our advice is to wait until this title ends up in the bargain bin.- Level7.nu

The big blockbuster feature of Fracture is the ability to alter the terrain, creating new ways to traverse levels and approach combat. At least that's what Lucasarts aimed for, but the truth is that the result is merely the same old formula we're used to coupled with a new tool that doesn't really change things for the better. Add to this a horrendously stupid AI, a lackluster online mode and an extremely linear story and what you end up with is a title that's decent at best.- Level7.nu

This is a great 2D fighting experience for the DS. With impressive graphics and entertaining super moves this is definitely something that Bleach fans will enjoy. There are few new features to be found here when compared to the predecessor though. A multiplayer mode that only requires one cartridge is a big plus for the experience.- Level7.nu

When it was announced that a western developer was to take over the reins from Team Silent there were many raised voices of concern about what would become of the series. Silent Hill Homecoming is actually a classic Silent Hill experience, a bit too classic to be honest, with the game's formula sticking very close to the old Silent Hill games. The graphical upgrade works great, lending design inspiration from the movie, and the music and sound is phenomenal. The plot is also told very well. The modernized combat system unfortunately eliminates the sense of respect and fear for the enemies, the main gripe we have with this otherwise great survival horror experience.- Level7.nu

The decision to hand of an rpg featuring Sonic and pals to experienced developer Bioware was a good decision. Great characters and beautifully crafted environment make up the atmospheric experience and combined with the engaging battle system Sega finally has a new game with Sonic in that's actually any good. The only major flaw here is a somewhat low difficulty level.- Level7.nu

This was supposed to be the game that convinced core gamers that the Wii is still a platform to be reckoned with. Unfortunately that's not the case since this is really not a great game for whomever the target audience might be. There is a vast collection of mini games that make out the core gameplay and since most of these are of poor quality the overall experience can't be saved by the few good ones in here.- Level7.nu
