The basic premises of Dark Void are promising enough. Combining ground based combat in third person with aerial jetpack combat could very well be the foundation of an entertaining action title. Unfortunately, Dark Void is a prime example of great ideas executed poorly. A far too drawn out introduction, terribly bleak storytelling and uninspiring combat all contribute to the wasted potential that is Dark Void.

As a flight game from developer Project Aces of Ace Combat fame there are many reasons as to why this could have been a competent flight game for the Wii. Unfortunately you'll get a limited amount of hours out of this game and the motion based controls don't do anything to improve the experience. Add to this a confusing storyline and presentation that's decent at best and you get an overall experience that'll leave you unfulfilled.

Like a less polished God of War with a great comic book artstyle and brutal gameplay. Has some minor flaws but is overall a brilliant action adventure.

The fights are the best in the genre but everything else feels out of date and the design is disgraceful. Luckily, the game is all about the battles.

The latest entry in the Crystal Chronicles franchise does away with a lot of the role playing elements of previous entries in favor of a more action oriented style of exploration where interaction with the environments and combat is handled by motion based Wii controls. Adventuring is entertaining enough but far too many issues with the motion based controls hampers an otherwise decent action adventure game.

The theme and the design is impressive, but everything else The Saboteur does have already been done better in other, similar games.

This is a title that does a whole lot right but never really manages to stand out from the crowd. The controls feel right, there are plenty of race types and vehicles and the online mode does it's job well enough. If you're a fan of moto cross you'll definitely find plenty to like here.

A great rpg with fast pacing, clever story and battles that are both engaging and tactically challenging. A little disappointing lack of freedom in the last couple of hours, but despite this Clash of Heroes is a must for all fans of the genre.

An excellent version of a great game. I don't even miss the parts that was removed from the PS3 version. It looks good, has great control, a lot of characters and fits the handheld formula well.

The repetitive gameplay of the predecessor is replaced with varied missions and an interesting main plot. One of the greatest game worlds ever with a lot of content and likeable characters makes it easy to ignore some technical and control issues.

What you get is two brutal classics, now with updated presentation and support for trophies. It's the perfect way to wet your appetite in anticipation for the upcoming behemoth God of War III.

If you're a big fan of the Phantasy Star franchise you might find something to enjoy in this entry for the Nintendo DS, but for everyone else there are few interesting features to be found here. The ability to experience the adventure with friends online is the one saving grace that elevates this title from utter mediocrity.

They improve the ultimate multiplayer game by adding a lot of options to tune your online experience. The campaign is short and intensive and the Spec Ops mode is a lot of fun for you and a friend.

It offers drama, beautiful graphic, deep game play and an incredible long play time for those who want to get value for their money. Bioware shows once more that they know what they do and that their own series holds the highest of quality.

An easier, more slimmed down version of the Rock Band games that doesn't really benefit from the Lego brand. Only for those who think the song list is great.

There is a new feeling on the pitch. It’s a little rougher and a bit clumsier but a lot can be recognized from PES 2009, a bit too much even. I would like to have seen more new animations and better control of the ball. Finally the career mode have received a massive upgrade, there is now a lot more manager options together with the Champions and Europe League licenses. In the end the step forward on the field isn’t what I hoped for but it is definitely worth your time this year.

The best manager game on the market at the moment. With the new focus on being accessible for anyone, they broaden the target group but there is still the depth that the hardcore fans are looking for.

Secret Files 2 does come off to a good start when it comes to creating a likable atmosphere. Unfortunately the overall quality of the adventure is hampered by the constant swapping of environments. This leads to an all to splintered experience that fails to engage the player. The puzzles are far too often far fetches and challenging in the wrong ways. Add to this a mediocre plot and what you get is a decent game that lacks any real selling points.

It does a lot of things right such as the presentation, its charming music and sound effects and cozy level design. The downside is that the developers have made the platform elements in the game more challenging which the control method can’t handle. A frustrating but charming game.

Tekken is back after 4 years of waiting. The news is few and the graphic feels dated but the game mechanics still works as it should. Thanks to a higher tempo the game is among the best beat’em’up games this generation.

It has its flaws. The table feels plastic, the career mode is way too thin and there are no alternative game modes. Except that the game is fantastic with 93 tracks and an amusing control. A music game has never got me this hooked before.

It is filled with so much polished content that it is close to being ridiculous. The enormous amount of cars and tracks together with improved community, painting and tuning features this came can be played for months. With superior physics and a realistic handling together with a large amount of adjustable options to fit each and every person makes Forza 3 a game that contains everything. The only thing missing is that little extra touch that would make it feel more than very good.

The usual Ratchet & Clank mixture of platform elements, problem solving and shooting, but the best game in the series so far. Insomniac gives us a large universe to explore freely with smarter problems, a well-needed higher difficulty setting and lots of things to collect.

Takes you back in time and let you command a trading company under the 17th century. Trading, diplomacy and war are all natural ingredients of this RTS game. A good alternative if you’re looking for a trading simulation with a historical perspective.

You interact with a cute virtual pet with the help of a camera that capture the player’s movement. It is fascinating in the beginning when you learn how to play, interact and dress the little pet, especially for the younger audience. But once the first impression is gone you start to find faults with the control and realize how boring some of the mini games are. It's still great for families with children though.

It is a successful mixture of first person shooter and role playing elements. The story is thin and unexciting and the world shows a rather low variation on environment and enemies. The different character classes complement each other and raise the experience a notch and if you play the game with a couple of friends the faults are less obvious and irritating.

With FIFA 10 the main focus for EA was to focus on improving on things suggested by fans of the series, a wise when looking at the final product. Gameplay on the field is finally solid enough to be thoroughly enjoyable and the still brilliant Virtual Pro mode, solid online mode, more realistic manager mode and sofa serving Lounge mode all make this one great soccer experience. We'd still like to see less rigid ball physics, greater differences between players and faster pacing on the field, but this year EA finally got it right.

The same formula as in the former parts in the serie. Chop, boil and rinse in different mini games to make a meal. Gets too repetitive before the dinner is ready.
