Hopefully the development teams are listening to the players, because while it's a highly recommendable game right now, Spellbreak has the potential to become a great one.

Micro-transactions are still omnipresent, almost essential for career shooters, the fault of a new timing system that is very difficult to learn and very frustrating. The completely visually redesigned quarter hides the quarry's stagnation, most of the other modes have not changed and 2K20's flaws remain. Even the very lackluster in-game menus characterize the overall laziness of the title. Only the novelties of My Team mode are satisfactory for a forgettable title on the current generation of consoles.

As a whole, the game is interesting, thanks to a (too?) complete customization system and complementary superheroes. On the other hand, the player often finds himself confronted with awkward choices and great redundancy synonymous with repetitive missions... Although Crystal Dynamics has, unlike BioWare with Anthem, avoided the trap of unbalanced loot, the game remains, as it is, simply attractive if not essential.

The one and only tangible addition to the studio is a rather messy and cumbersome experience and challenge system that won't get you much except cosmetic items in the hundreds. The pleasure and the sensations are there. But it would have taken a little more to make an impression.

The Last Campfire teaches us that a flame can be rekindled and that we should not be let down by difficulties encountered throughout our lives. What a pity that the technique does not always follow… without these little clashes, The Last Campfire would come close to perfection in its category.

Despite some concerns about precision and frustrating moments because of the physics, the title is all good: it's well done, fun and terribly catchy.

If you don't get fooled by the artificial increase in playtime caused by the multiplicity of modes and resources, you will quickly get bored.
