An experience apart, totally rooted in a bygone era, for better but also for worse.

Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is ultimate in name only. While the title bills itself as the most comprehensive release in the series, that is only true for its impressive cast of over 130 fighters. On the other hand, as for its story mode... between a minimally regressive setting, absent major boss fights and above all an original story that is not very interesting, there is reason to be frankly disappointed. Ultimately, only fans of the franchise determined to play online will find what they are looking for by taking advantage of the generous roster and the gameplay that is still as effective despite the years. For others, we advise you to turn to the first four episodes, which are available on all platforms and often at a low price, to better enjoy the story of Naruto.

Designed for players who love the LEGO universe, this new entry to the franchise feels tailor-made for a young audience. For more hardcore gamers, it looks repetitive, lacks of originality and doesn't even follow the movie in terms of story telling.

Atelier Ryza 2 is a frustrating experience as it continues to deconstruct the main principles that have supported the series for more than 10 years. We are witnessing a script written on a corner of the table, an interventionist adventure full of empty dungeons, and uninspired conversations between characters of all kinds. It is the sad impression of a forced march towards naive and insipid general public standards which destroy the charm of yesteryear. However, we take a lot of fun in the fights and with the flawless alchemy system that appears more than ever as the last bulwark before the general collapse.

Despite some obvious qualities, Oninaki loses its strenght because of too many omnipresent flaws. Poor realization, balance issues and failed dungeons sequences, there’s too much to really enjoy what’s left.

Mario Kart Tour may have some nice visuals, it’s also very uninspired when it comes to track design and spends too much time trying to find ways to get your money.

The framerate drops regularly on classic consoles while the Pro versions never reach 60 fps, even in Performance mode.

Hopefully the team in charge of the project will improve this perfectible recipe, but full of potential, over the updates.

There’s nothing really new or interesting in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope. Even if it’s still the same chill, low-pace game, it’s technically outdated, and too far from Story of Seasons and Stardew Valley’s richness.

After several hours of intense gameplay, I was incredibly excited and ultimately frustrated by God of War: Sons of Sparta. The writing lacks punch, both in terms of the characters and the story. The gradual progression one expects from a Metroidvania is absent, as is the desire to explore every nook and cranny. The combat also suffers from fatal flaws. Our young Spartan doesn't chain attacks together as smoothly as his future self, and he's hampered by a truly awful AI. As it stands, it's impossible to recommend, whether to a fan of the God of War or to Metroidvania veterans. Kratos still has a long way to go before becoming a god, and I've fallen from grace.

Serious Sam 4 is a legitimate sequel to the franchise, true to its origins in both substance and form, but that's it, and that’s the point. Video games have evolved. The players and their expectations have changed in 2020. A franchise needs to innovate, like the reboots of Doom and Wolfenstein, or else it will be overwhelmed before it has even had time to draw. This is clearly not the case with Serious Sam 4, which is mired in a dated vision of the video game.

Yes, Illusion : A Tale of the Mind looks great and it has some good ideas. But that’s almost all it has to offer. Its puzzles are way too easy, and just moving can be frustrating.

An adventure that lacks of puzzles and interactivity, with a mobile app that doesn't really bring enough interest. It's a shame because the atmosphere and direction is great, with an good implication of Holly Earl.

Laser League is typically the kind of game which is enjoyable for a few minutes, before it reveals its own weakness: repetitivness, mostly due to a lack of depth. Which is sad, because its main idea is really cool.
