The Amazing Spider-Man clearly has many qualities such as dynamic fighting sequences and nervous animations that visually transcribe perfectly the way Spider-Man moves. Moreover, its sandbow world will occupy the players for hours with a lot of sidequests to do. And yet, its cheap graphics, its boring scenario and old-school animations, prevent us from saying that The Amazing-Man is one of a kind.

Sea of Solitude is a nice atmospheric game that sucks the player into a very special universe with very good OST and art style. On the other hand, the level design is boring and some sequences are pretty boring.

With Vader Immortal, ILMxLAB offers a nice VR experience that allow the player to really feel like the Dark Lord, with it's lightsaber and it's force powers. On the other hand it still feels like an experience more than a game, and is there fore very short, with a pricetag that seems a bit hefty.

WWE 2K17 gropes for its balance : the game is hard to understand to the newcomers and it can seem far too serious. But you have to admit than, once you got it, it reveals depth and intensity. Unfortunately, the technical limits of WWE 2K17 clearly ruin the immersion and the way you enjoy the fights.

New Tales from the Borderlands is a very good spiritual sequel to Tales from the Borderlands. The genre remains particular, of course, the total absence of challenge, and the passages actually playable can put some people off. But if this simplified gameplay suits you, then there's no reason to miss out on this humorous adventure, rather well written, populated by delirious characters, and surprisingly aesthetic.

In spite of some good ideas like the Thrall system, and the overall freedom given to the player, Conan Exiles is far too tedious to appeal to new players. Unless you're having fun since the beta, wait a bit more time for patches and a price drop.

If Battlefield 4 has only a terrific campaign, Call of Duty Ghosts is far more uniform. It's not such a beautiful game but the campaign is really breathtaking, and you have a large panel of ways to play online. For those who want to play together, there is Extinction mode ; if you're addicted, you can have your daily dose on your mobile ; if you're a noob, you will have the possibility to play with and against bots. A great and complete experience.

In its plan to regain the confidence of players, Microids releases Marsupilami : Hoobadventures, a platform that is certainly inspired by Nintendo productions (Donkey Kong Country for example), but do it really well. Armed with a solid gameplay, the game offers really nice graphics. A really good surprise.

NBA 2K21 stays a good basketball game, but it lacks any really new features, while the shooting system is pretty poor, even since it was patched. Still, 2K Game's offering is one of the best in this field.

Blade & Soul is finally available in the west, but four years after its initial release in Asia. The game suffers from a dull PvE that needs a lot of grinding and a great interest in Wuxia from the players. But the very good fighting system and its great arena PvP mode make it worthy of a look.

For the first time ever, the Silent Hill franchise has been developed by a western studio and since Silent Hill 3, this is probably the most attractive episode that we recommand you to play as soon as you can.

This Zoo Tycoon next-gen is aiming for two audiences: casual players and true management lovers. It's understandable but very risky obviously. Zoo Tycoon's fans will be disappointed to have such a minimal control on the management and the building of their park, while casual players won't try the Challenges because of the difficulty. At last, Kinect is just a gadget once more, not a real revolution...

As an independent game developed by a little french studio, Shad'O couldn't rival the big productions that were released this last year. But as a Tower Defense title, Shad'O appears to be interesting. Its scenario, its poetic atmosphere and clever gameplay features bring something original to the IP compared to similar titles. The main problem is its unbalanced fighting system, some of the different units under our spell being either useless, or enter the fight too late leading to unpredictable sessions.

The Hong Kong Massacre is a somewhat generic top-down shooter game that's aimed at scoring, as the narrative is pretty bleak, while the action is very repetitive. The only defining feature are the bullet-t-ime and dives that the hero can perform.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a good follow-up to the first game with enriched content, refined gameplay that works to perfection and awesome visuals. We would have loved a longer solo mode to be honest.

Battleborn got us quite divided. Some praised its humor and the 25 colorful characters that make for a lot of farming, while others criticized the lack of maps, gameplay modes and overall content that's quite thin for a game sold at full price.

Outcast: Second Contact is a very good remaster as the core of the game remains unchanged while it's looks have been completely overhauled to fit modern hardware and players. A very good way to bring the nostalgia vibe for the seasoned players, and to make younger players discover this adventure.

The Chant will not be one of the games to remember in 2022, because of its dated graphics and snoring gameplay. Situations sometimes don't make sense, with weak attacks having more impact than heavy hits. Overall, the combat system lacks dynamism and subtlety. On the other hand, the atmosphere is captivating, but that's not enough to make it a good game.

Déraciné isn't really a true VR title as the VR doesn't bring much to the experience. Still it's an enjoyable ride as From Software has loads of know-how in terms of narrative and artistic direction.

The Cave is clearly the 2013 heir to mythic LucasArts point'n click games of the early 90's. The fun in the writing and the great balance of the puzzles will surely make you feel nostalgic if you're 30 or more. As simple as efficient, Double Fine's game could have done better technically and some players won't be patient enough to keep round tripping again and again. Others could well feel like playing Day of the Tentacle again.

Even if Serious Sam 4 feels truly dated, with visuals that will bring you back a few years, the game is still a blast to play, with thousands of foes ant the same time, and a very good gameplay that mixes fast-FPS with beat'em all. Just wait a bit until all the bugs are ironed out.

Isle of Man TT: Ride on the Edge is one of the best bike racing games available, vastly superior to any of Milestone's productions if you're in the market for a good sim. Official content and laser scanned Mountain Course are a bliss, and we only regret a small lack of content.

While the lack of a single-player campaign is a hard pill to swallow, Battlefield 2042 really has others strong arguments. Be able to play with 128 players in the Conquest and Breakthrough modes is obviously very good news, the game becoming more "massively multiplayer" and more spectacular, helped in this by an always impressive Frostbite engine.

Drawing inspiration from games such as Limbo and Prince of Persia, but also from TV Shows like The Walking Dead for the storyline, Deadlight doesn't actually propose an original zombiefied experience. Because despite a pleasant art direction, Tequila Works' title suffers from a classic gameplay and a terrible game length that only some players who are not very particular about this kind of details. will enjoy for a short afternoon.

Another year, another Pro Cycling Manager, but still no big improvement in this 2012 edition. Cyanide may have been focused ont other projects and, as a result, the game isn't very different from last year's game. Graphics are slightly better and the Season Planner is finally a pretty good tool. But at the end of the day, players who already have PCM 2011 will need to think hard before splashing some cash in this new edition.
