It's not as interactive as, say, "Syberia," but it still manages to deliver a wonderfully imaginitive world and story.

The hand-to-hand combat is actually quite fun to use, which more than makes up for the mediocre gunplay you have to use early on.

I found the character design and model of the lead character to be severly clichéd and the least interesting in the game.

While not perfect, Billy Hatcher is good fun. If you were expecting the title to have Sonic's breakneck speed, you might need to look elsewhere. Also, the game's extremely high in cute factor, so much so that some older gamers may be turned off.

Those looking for some co-op action might want to give it a whirl as well, but don't expect this title to be as deep as some of the more high-end games offered in the past year.

With a so-so game engine, but a ton of stuff to unlock, I suggest Mortal Kombat fans to buy this game. Others may want to pass on this otherwise mediocre title.

For those who want a cheap horror fix for a weekend, Obscure is sure to fit the bill. Just don't expect anything outstanding and you might just enjoy yourself.

While I get the feeling that this game proves to be a sloppy port, it is still a good game at heart and has a wonderful timepiece story that fans of the genre will enjoy.

The game is short. Even after completing the entire side quest and upgrading my creatures to the max, my time only left me with about 15 hours.

Not the best that the genre has to offer. But, the battle system and the decent story go a long way towards making the experience worth the while.

If you have some patience, then by all means get it. There's a lot to be enjoyed here if you can just endure the dragging pace of the story. If you're looking for faster action, then you may get bored with this one a bit too quickly.

A good game, but it fails to distinguish itself enough from it’s 1997 cousin. Same character models, same environments, same battle engine, same items, same weapons, same spells...there’s something to be said for consistency, but I feel Tactics Ogre needed to expand on the idea a little more, not just carbon-copy it.

It seems little effort was made to make full use of what the Xbox is good at. In fact, you'll notice jaggies, lots of clipping, mild pop-up in some locations and a lot of slowdown in the Glitter Oasis level.

Suffers from the fact that once the story really gets going, the game ends, leading into the upcoming sequel. This is a shame as the slow build up starts to really feel rewarding and then... BAM! Too be continued.

I really hate that Amusement Vision didn't take the time to upgrade the sound effects and music. You still here that weird melody blurring through your speakers.

For fans of the old arcade games, this proves to be a nice handheld diversion, especially if you no longer have an arcade nearby.

Throw in the fact that she barely walks up to a decent jog and that the effect of the changing camera angles can make controlling her a chore. Just getting her to line up for a jump or to a ladder can be painfully frustrating.

If you're looking for a good strategy RPG, skip this title as the linear path the game takes and the none-too-deep gameplay will pretty much bore you to tears.

There's very little need for strategy and the gameplay may grow weary to some, but it does manage to have tons of style, challenge and action to spare.

The heavy violence and strong ties to the Marvel universe really work for fans of The Punisher and the story and presentation does do a nice job at putting the player into the deranged mind of this vigilante.

Single player matches can be fun, except when getting into multi-opponent matches, where the computer decides that you're always the odd-man out. You'll be screaming for blood when it's you versus three opponents.

A Goddess Reborn isn't the greatest RPG. It's not even the best one on the Gamecube. But, for those looking for a good story and a change of pace gameplay-wise, this title proves to be good enough.

Just feels like it needs something more. What the game gives you in terms of abilities is a great start but after a while may leaving you wanting more.

Let's not kid ourselves - where Chaos Legion fails in becoming a top tier title like "Devil May Cry" is that it's extremely repetitive. Seig doesn't have a lot of moves, so expect to do the same combat actions over and over again.

Advent Rising certainly could have used a lot more work. If you're a sci-fi themed shooter fan, you can find this one for a decent price. You have to be pretty forgiving as there's a lot here that could use some polish.

This game goes out of its way to appeal to fans of the show, who should love the story, and will really appreciate the unlockable interviews with the cast and crew. They may not notice the problems with the game design, but will surely notice the game is missing the rapid-fire pacing of the show in both its action and story segments.

A lot of the levels suffer from trial and error gameplay, where you have to do a series of things correctly or else you're forced to start over at the beginning of the level. While this might be okay for two or three tries, some stages may take a lot of tries before you get through, leading to excessive frustration.

With lengthy load times, rare slowdown, the occasional clipping problem and an imperfect graphics engine, the basic "corridor shooter" feel of the single player mode can be bogged down and even become tedious to some.

The biggest complaint I have with the controls is that the button responses seem to lag at times, especially during the boss fights, where hitting the button to charge an arrow may not work right away, costing you precious seconds.

The action is fun, if a bit monotonous when it comes to combat and linear throughout.

Even though the graphics are weak, the gunplay is nice and the various mini-games help break up most levels.

Thankfully, the physics and handling are dead-on and really take some effort to learn well if you want to succeed.

Ghost in the Shell only works when it comes to the voicecast, which is pulled straight from the show's voicecast.

One of the biggest complaints I have about the game is that very little of the gameplay is explained or even given much in the way of reason. You seem to just be doing stuff to keep from being bored to death.

If you want to fly high above and put yourself into unique and highly intense battles that are actually fun, go try "Sky Gunner" or "Panzer Dragoon Orta." In the meantime, you can probably look at this title and see how not to make a good game.

It's thin story, shallow characters and less-than-inventive battle system is only made worse by the excessive loading.

Linear, and excessively so. Levels are placed before you with a "get from point A to point B" mentality, with next to no options in how you get there.

A lot better then the first "Survivor," but a lot more still needs to be done. There needs to be more story for one. Also, the length needs to be increased along with the difficulty.

Vastly better than "Superman 64," but it's still only mediocre in a genre of games that still struggle to be good games while recapturing their subject matter well.

Sonic's biggest challenge is the in-game camera, which is often placed so poorly that you have a hard time seeing your environment.

If you're looking for a survival horror adventure to tide you over, this can fit the bill. Just don't expect it to look great or do anything new or spectacular.

It's just fun enough to look past the mediocre graphics and iffy mission structure. For those not as interested in Bruce Campbell's wit, give it a rent or just pass it all together.

Casual gamers will get into this game for about an hour before being overwhelmed by the choices. Experts of the previous games will love it, even with the odd control scheme.

The gameplay is slow and for the most part, laid back, not unlike PC adventure titles like Myst and Syberia. If you can forgive the game's faults, there is something to enjoy here. Just don't expect to be able to shoot anything along the way.

I would not recommend this to anyone new to the genre. Play "GT3: A-Spec" instead - it costs the same amount and is a much, much better experience.

It’s as if the guys at Outrage struck upon innovative gameplay ideas but they just couldn’t mould a good game around them.

The camera angles are horrendous. They really prevent the game from being a good title. The simply fetch quests and basic story really don't help much to the overall game but the graphics (especially the cutscenes) are wonderful and the sound is great.

The music in the game is a mess, the vast majority of the game is eerily silent, with occasional ambient music. When you encounter a boss fight or hairy situation however, blaring nu-metal blasts repeatedly then instantly stops when the fight is over.

Let's not kid ourselves - Unlimited Saga is overly deep and complicated to a fault. It's as if Square was trying to make a complex game but failed to add some serious polish or just cut out the excess.

Extremely easy, even on the hard difficulty, and can be beaten in around three to four hours. That is, of course, if you can stand the insipid story, script and overall delivery of the game. Fighting your way through dumb-as-dirt enemies only to find a switch, computer, or really long ladder climb as your goal does not a good game make.

Such a flawed piece of tripe that no one should have to pay for it, be it a purchase, rental or even as part of your rent. This is the kind of game that you would give to your enemies.
