The graphic violence is shocking. The story is captivating and the disturbing scenes are sure to make even hardcore gamers a little queasy.
  2. A relatively short but enjoyable game that has its share of rough areas here and there, but do not let that keep you away from a game that is a ghastly good time.
  3. 80
It utterly breaks the subdued mold of the series.

A good attempt to innovate the survival horror genre that doesn't deliver nearly enough depth to wholly satisfy. [May 2003, p.33]
  5. While the game starts off on the right foot with a dark tale of schoolgirls, slaughter, and restless spirits, it immediately trips over the other foot with a range of directorial issues an overall lack of focus.
  6. GMR Magazine

These brief spurts of action are entertaining, but between them lie only painfully simple puzzles and, as previously mentioned, lots of running around, avoiding your idiotic pursuers with the same tricks over and over again. [June 2003, p.71]
  7. Edge Magazine

Clock Tower 3 is never scary: rather it's unwitting proof of the banality of evil. [June 2003, p.101]

I have it and basically no words can describe what I see and play. All the bosses are original and beutifully detailed. so I rate this 10 out of 10.

Best game in The Clock tower series and the best survival horror game in history along with Haunting Ground. Soo deserving of a re-release. IBest game in The Clock tower series and the best survival horror game in history along with Haunting Ground. Soo deserving of a re-release. I Still play it yearly. Definitely not too short as critics claim. The earlier games were shortest of all, boring, and not 3D with only 1-2 different stalkers. Clock tower 3 is new and bery improved compared to the earlier games Expand

A decent enough game but too much running away from the stalkers makes the game a big pain in the buttcheeks and it is a tad on the short side.

This has the same rape-escape play mechanic as Haunting Ground. As its years later, you can tell this type never took off for Capcom. YourThis has the same rape-escape play mechanic as Haunting Ground. As its years later, you can tell this type never took off for Capcom. Your character is not powerful enough to dish it back out on the bad guys. You get victimized when a ghost or monster is on the screen. Even Silent Hill gave you something to fight with. The environments and character models are really cool. The music and ambiance is cheesier though. I would not recommend this game. They could have made this fun to play but didn't. Expand

The game developers and KINJI FUKASAKU should be ashamed to make This game is one of the most highly inappropriate games I have ever played. The game developers and KINJI FUKASAKU should be ashamed to make such(can't find a better word) SICK game...I was appalled to see a little(age6 or 7) year old girl get smashed in the face by some grotesque freak 15 minutes in the game... Ok, I am well old enough to buy M rated games, but what about the kids that actually buy this sick Japanese game... Maybe its ok in japan to see a little girl brutally killed, but over in these post 9/11 times its highly disturbing....This game should have clearly have had a rating off A(adult).... Even big budge Hollywood movies don't show the suffer-cation of little children to that extent, it doesn't make it right that this is a just a game....It comes of as sick and almost perverted to see such a sight in a game, Maybe Kinji Fukasaku likes to animate and create such graphic scenes(they actually sat down and thought this up and created it), but over here in America, we don't want Capcom's(Fukasaku) disgusting garbage.....
