Square Enix has been proving for years that the old Final Fantasy-games are timeless and legendary. The same goes for X and X-2. You don't need a dose of nostalgia to enjoy both games.

Darksiders is a game with a number of different gameplay elements. We love the fighting and puzzles, but the pace of the game could have been a bit faster. Nevertheless, Darksiders is a great way to start off the new year.

King Evan did not just charm its people, he charmed us. Ni No Kuni 2 tells a darling story and its great variety in gameplay makes it a dream to play.

The Prince returns, and does so with a fresh new style, a phenomenal game world, and in stunning visual detail. The addition of Elika is a nice touch, but takes away some of the initial challenge in the game. The fact that you can’t die is a real shame, but the choreographical fighting mechanics keep the gameplay interesting and fun, and turn Prince of Persia into a small masterpiece.

Thanks to The Taken King Destiny finally is the game we wanted during release. We'd almost call it Destiny 2.0. Bungie again makes a few confusing choices, but the game experience has definitely become a lot more accessible.

Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time is a delicious platform game. The relationship of Ratchet and Clank delivers a great adventure and the split between the two friends gives a lot of variety in the levels. Off course the game looks amazing just like its predecessors and the humour never gets old. A Crack in Time is a moment of joy, that’s why its double that disappointing that the game is rather short.

Dreams is ultimately something different for everyone and it is impressive how cleverly everyone's part of the game is put together. Those who dare to dream with an open mind can find an endless source of entertainment, gentleness, and genius in this "game".

Monster Hunter Tri is the best game in the franchise. We love the underwater worlds and the game looks pretty good. It is also very good to see that Capcom dropped the annoying friendcodes, so that you can enjoy the online experience.

Rock Band 2 is a great follow-up to an already good game. The improved track list and World Tour mode, and the implementation of some interesting new options make for a great sequel.

ZombiU is by far the most intense game we've played this year. Dead means dead and you can kiss that valuable crossbow or shotgun goodbye when a zombie sinks its teeth into you. ZombiU manages to trigger a primal instinct: survival. Assessing the situation, avoiding conflict at times and especially not doing rash or stupid things. ZombiU brings the zombie apocalypse into your living room in a way we haven't seen before.

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is possibly the best kept secret of 2010. The game offers fantastic strategic battles, combined with interesting puzzle elements. Because the battles are easy to learn, but quite difficult to master, strategy fans will love this game.

It brings the three different play styles together effortlessly, without selling one short. By handing out points after a mission based on how you play it, you keep coming back to set a higher score. It’s a shame the story lacks depth and graphically the game can’t play with the big boys, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’ll get a lot of stealthy pleasure out of this game.

Resident Evil 7 honors the classic survival elements, and yet it feels modern thanks to the first person perspective. During confrontations you do not fight, you run, as fast as possible. A tense game that guarantees goose bumps all over your body.

The new missions in Hitman 2 are so amazing that we forget about the lack of big gameplay changes. The maps are complex, huge and offer lots of variety: a lot better than its predecessor.

Kingdom Hearts 2 is a classic but it is also the game that made the series a lot more complicated. We would've liked to get a recapitulation of the past parts, especially since Birth by Sleep and Re:Coded make things complex. But, besides that we have really enjoyed Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix with it's excellent quality and loads of content to enjoy.

Strong gameplay and good visuals: the things that make NBA2K awesome, are still here. NBA 2K15 adds more gameplay modes and the MyCareer mode is more dynamic. Too bad the online servers are giving us such a hard time.

It's not easy to give advice on this collection. Ezio still rocks, while Desmond's story is a bit disappointing. The controls are not as good as we would have liked.

The addition of many new tools is a giant step forward for creative minds. The story mode is short but sweet and we had a good time exploring the new characters. Too bad the cute little friends seem to attract a lot of bugs.

Ubisoft has succeeded in creating the ultimate Naruto-game. The Broken Bond builds upon the foundation of the first game, and retains the open world and strong audiovisual presentation. Story wise the game is both more intense and lengthy then its predecessor, making The Broken Bond the best Naruto-game to date.

PES 2016 is a delightful soccer game in which Konami found the ideal balance between simulation and arcade gameplay. The addition of a great amount of animations does not only make the game look awesome, it also brings depth into the gameplay. There are a few small annoying issues you will have to cope with, but online PES 2016 is strong and highly addictive.

Tekken is all about the multiplayer, especially if you play against a friend who knows the game well. The new fighters are bringing enough new material to learn and practice on you’re own. The functionalities around this aren’t that interesting. You can better leave the game alone if you’re not a multiplayer person. If you are a multiplayer person and you’re willing to put some hours into it, this game will be a pearl of a 3D fight game.

Chronicles is a JRPG with the size of an MMORPG, in a world that feels lively. The game does not explain itself too well and many of the characters are a bit uncomfortable to look at, but other than that this game is amazing.

Because you'll have access to most cars to begin with, Most Wanted U can be slightly overwhelming without providing you with a good starting point. The exploring also gets shoved to the background quite significantly. It soon turns out that this makes for a better game though, that provides you with more freedom as a player. The wingman-functions allow Fairhaven to be conquered with a friend, but these are too experimental to really make Most Wanted U succeed as a co-op game. Still, this is the best version of an already great racing game.
