This game offers a huge and memorable experience including one hundred challenging puzzles and discussions with computer terminals that have a taste for philosophy. This game will make you think about your own free will, which makes it a bit pitiful that the duration of The Talos Principle is so short.

NIOH offers a strong first impression with a deep combat system, but it is plagued by repetiviteness.

The game puts the bar high for the Animal Crossing series, by offering an extremely long game without too much steady routines or repetition. In between everything you can do, you'll get surprised with special visitors, events and season based festivals. It's impressive if you can't see the fun in playing New Leaf after a week.

NBA 2K13 has improved gameplay and more variations thanks to the trick stick. The amazing commentary and the atmosphere in the stadiums adds even more realism to the sport.

Halo 4 is a game with two sides. On the one hand 343 Studios hasn't managed to create a single player experience with a great story. And on top of that the musical presentation isn't what you'd expect it to be. The true magic of the game is to be found in the multiplayer mode. Through subtle changes, constant rewards through the Ordnance system and new gear, the multiplayer keeps you enthralled throughout. And should you be done with it, then there's still Spartan Ops.

Football Manager is ruling the genre for years, and this year it stays like that. The game has not changed much, the new tactical system and other little additions to the game are bringing an accessible control to deep gameplay mechanics, but there is still room for improvements like every year.

If you own Bloodborne, you should own The Old Hunters. This add-on offers more enemies, weapons, items and locations to discover and it fits perfectly with the rest of the game. The enemies are meaner and tougher than ever before and that is exactly what we have been asking for.

Xcom 2 offers the same challenging turn-based gameplay and tactical possibilities on consoles as it does on pc. It is such a thrill to lure aliens in your trap, while connecting emotionally to the soldiers that work for you. It is too bad the loading times are a tad long.

Injustice 2 is the best solo fighter of this moment. The story is thrilling, the gameplay is just as excellent as the first Injustice, though there have not been many changes to the fighting mechanism.

The Witness is a gorgeous, colorful puzzle adventure that will offer tens of hours of gameplay. The natural way of introducing new puzzle elements is perfect and as you are free to discover this island full of puzzles, it does not feel repetitive at all.

In the end, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box is just a great game for those who haven't played the console versions. There's tons of cars to unlock, races to engage in and stunts to perform. Add to this the 'pick up and play' control mechanics and you've got yourself a great racing game that doesn't require mad driving skills and is just genuine fun.

Astral Chain is the most diverse game PlatinumGames has made and offers fascinating and varied gameplay. Some elements, such as the platforms and the silent protagonist, are not completely visible and the Switch itself seems to collapse occasionally under all this content, but the flashy action and the cool police work make up for that.

Night in the Woods is a graphic novel filled with small stories. The lack of a bigger story and the slow start make this game hard to keep playing, but in the end it is definitely worth while.

Heavy Rain is a bit Saw, a sniff of Se7en, a big dose of Fahrenheit and a lot of Heavy Rain. The game is unique and can be called a milestone!

Fieldrunners 2 is an amazing game for the iPhone. The game has an excellent learning curve and constantly rewards you with upgrades and extra content. Fieldrunners 2 is by far the best tower defense game we have played on the iPhone.

In terms of gameplay, Link’s Awakening is almost the same as the original, which speaks volumes about the quality that was already present 26 years ago. The big improvement is, of course, the sparkling audiovisual presentation. Wow.

Batman: Arkham Knight is a nearly perfect ending of an excellent series. The package feels complete with its interesting fighting system and many gadgets. The Batmobile and the strong story make things fresh and new, even though fights with the Batmobile could have been better. We hope Rocksteady is not done with the Dark Knight yet.

With New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario goes back to his roots. The game is quite challenging, but never too difficult thanks to the new Super Guide option. However, it’s the brilliant multiplayer that makes NSMB Wii such a great game.

There are enough cars, tracks and options to enjoy this game for a very long time, especially if you are a series car fanatic playing online. The new rain and night effects are impressive, but it is not a super innovative feature that will change the game.

Tearaway is a great game that intuitively uses the Vita's capabilities, on paper. The graphical style is very charming, is easy on the eyes and invites to touching the screen and rear pad. It starts of quite slowly though and throws too much of its own principles overboard in the final chapters to be to amazing game the Vita desperately needs.

A fantastic translation to games of America’s national pastime, baseball. Practically all facets of the popular sport can be found in the game, in a very realistic manner. This holds true for the players, who look great and are animated brilliantly. It’s almost as if you’re actually a part of the Major Leagues. For whoever wants to start playing with their own homemade player, the excellent Road to the Show-mode’s got you covered. There are a few sloppy mistakes, but that doesn’t affect the fun you’ll have in any way. Fun that can be had, not only by baseball-veterans, but also by newcomers.

Colin McRae: DiRT 2 is a beautiful product. The game has left the old school rally feeling to put in a little more show driving. As a race purist i think it’s kind of a misery, but at the same time, i enjoyed it very much. The game looks awesome and it gives you a perfect rally feel. Thanks to the flashback, you never have to redo a match again. A must have for every race fan.
