Fatal Fury City of the Wolves make a nice albeit non-triumphant return to the fighting game arena. Full crossplay compatibility and robust online modes are best of breed.

Ultimately… if you like the Tell Tale style choose your own adventure games and don’t mind a theme of music/singing/classical mythology in a modern world… then grab a copy. If you are a huge musical theatre fan then, no question… grab a copy. For the rest of us who can take or leave musicals… maybe have a closer look at some gameplay footage first before deciding if it’s something you want to immerse yourself in.

The game is quite a lot of fun, when it is working well. Unfortunately, like a lot of these sorts of games, A.I. issues do sometimes cause a few headaches.

Ultimately this is a horror game that I almost don’t mind playing… that is to say there are certainly horror elements (it’s not fun trying to escape a spectre), but there’s also a compelling story and a quite well set out world to explore. There are enough moments of exploration without direct terror to give you a chance to breathe… but then you are subjected to nightmare material again. If you like horror games then this is definitely worth a look.

Kill Knight is a magnificent arcade game. While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it perfectly puts mechanics from other famous and successful action games next to each other to create a unique and satisfying gameplay loop. This is one of the few games out there that needs your 100% attention while you’re playing it and makes your time fly! With difficulty modifiers, in-game challenges, and quite a few weapons and items to unlock, Kill Knight is also a title with high replayability and a dream come true for arcade shooter fans.

Overall I was very happy with it. My last Warhammer experience was with Eternal Crusade which really didn’t hit the spot for me… so Dawn Of War 3 is a pleasant scratch to that itch for some space melodrama. As mentioned, if you are a long time fan, don’t expect to get the same game you’ve played before… or even a mix of the two, it would seem they have taken a slightly different approach. On the other hand if you like a bit of RTS action, some fun storytelling, it’s a great bit of fun and visually quite pretty (epic opening movie especially). If in doubt, wait for a good sale… but there’s a lot of fun to be had here.

Contra: Operation Galuga is the perfect follow-up to Rogue Corps. That is to say, it’s an actual Contra game that’s worth your time and money. It may not be the best game in the series, but it’s certainly up there with the original Contra and WayForward’s own Contra 4. If you have a hankering for some running and gunning on the go. Contra: Operation Galuga (on Switch at least) is well worth getting to the eshoppa for.

Overall if you are hankering for some pretend survival whilst we are all doing it for real with COVID 19 I would definitely recommend this game. Even if you just sit and enjoy the atmosphere I feel it is well worth the money.

It feels a lot like eating junk food - not a lot of substance, it attacks your senses in different ways, not particularly good for you but great while it lasts - but afterwards, the satisfaction does not stay around for very long. All in all, a nice fun diversion of a game

The voice acting and music add to a great atmosphere that will certainly draw you in and you won’t be able to help trying to figure out “whodunnit” before the game finally lets you put all the pieces together. It’s a fun game with a few quirks… but if you like detective adventure games then this may just be right up your alley… just be careful it’s not a dark alley with mobster goons!

If you enjoyed the original Diablo or Diablo II when it first came out… this is a great way to play it on a modern system without having to jump into a DOS box or wrestle with other settings to get it to work. If you like the idea of a loot clicker then grab a copy because this is a great example of it.

All in all, MLB The Show 20 remains perhaps the deepest sports title on modern consoles. There’s so much to do, it’s the rare game that can keep a sports fan occupied for ¾ of a year, easily. It’s not a vast improvement from the prior year’s offering, but possesses enough upgrades to justify the purchase leap.

In the end, Doom is a worthy successor to the original and although there was mixed reviews of Doom 3 way back in 2004, id Software should be praised on not only paying homage to the original but successfully rebooting the franchise on high-end consoles, the PC and now the Nintendo Switch. Sure, it’s a little old school at times but that was also the beauty of the original and if you’re looking for a fast paced first person shooter then Doom is the game for you. Yes, the game is quite linear but there’s plenty of secrets to be found which definitely gives you incentive to either explore all the levels totally or play the game again, so Knights of Hell beware!

The game boils down to a power house of a tactical experience, though at times it feels a bit simplified XCOM: Enemy Unknown pays good homage to a classic while bringing it into the realm of a modern game. Planning and management of research and resources mix well with the action and ties it all together that makes you hope for some add on campaigns because it is that addictive.

Playing as a lower level character is almost even more fun than starting out as the King, I mean sure, it's good to be king….but it's nice to see the designers of the game took not only their fan base into consideration with this one…no even someone new to this type of gaming would do well to have this as their first experience. After running those tutorials off you go… and players will have all the courtly intrigue, army gathering and conquests and world running they can handle.

The overall price of Washington is arguably pretty high, but it can be had in bundle packs (which is probably the best way to go to add a few states). The forest machinery DLC is also a little pricey for what it adds… but having said that, it does feel nice having access to all the bells and whistles as you drive across the landscapes of America. Wait for a special or enjoy a bundle… either way a new state is always welcome.
