The ending felt a little predictable, but by no means less satisfying than expected. More precisely, it was so good that you actually are disappointed it finishes.

If there is only one game you buy all year than Oceanhorn should be it, especially if you love those classic Nintendo adventure games.

The Last of Us is truly what a game can aspire to. It’s a full interactive experience package.

Ultimately, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an odd combination between Skyrim, Elden Ring, and Tears of the Kingdom that scratches a very unique itch. It might not be for everyone, but it’s certainly for someone, and it’ll be exciting to see what kind of DLC Capcom have planned for it.

Overall I found Two Point Museum an absorbing delight, and it was only improved for the areas in which it differed from my halcyon days of school with Theme Hospital.

Tomb Raider is a brilliant game on the XBox 360 and the developers have successfully rebooted the franchise for the 21st century with next-generation graphics and gameplay.

Perhaps my biggest takeaway from Wild Hearts is that I didn’t once find myself lamenting for Monster Hunter. Wild Hearts was perhaps a risky endeavour, but it’s one that’s paid off with impressive results. While genre newcomers can treat the land of Azuma as a gateway to monster hunting, long-standing genre fans will find plenty here to keep them happy until the next Monster Hunter adventure arrives.

It Takes Two is a fun cooperative game on the PlayStation that is filled with consistent surprises and delights, offering a unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you’re playing with a significant other, a friend or a family member, It Takes Two is an essential title for any PS5 owner who is looking for a cooperative challenge and from an incredible moving perspective from a story point of view that can easily be knocked over in a few binge gaming sessions.

“Crash Course” small campaign that it is, is extremely satisfying, gibing hints of some new visuals and design elements to come for the series.

This game has got characters that you actually care about, a story that is very engaging from the get go and almost flawless gaming mechanics.

A whimsical, nostalgic journey that explores family, loyalty, isolation, and community.

What sets this game apart is such a captivating and detailed story that is intelligently written, well presented and delivered with light-hearted comical imagery (and occasional unacknowledged thievery). Although the ending did feel a tiny bit rushed, it was absolutely complete without leaving you wanting. Hands down, this a great game.

Rockstar delivers more than expected, and truly live up to their company name.

Green Hell ticks every box, offering an incredibly captivating and addictive gameplay style in both story mode and survival and challenge modes.

GTA 5 is still one of the best games money can buy and with the added features of the latest edition, it is worth upgrading your last gen copy.

The bottom line? I would heartily recommend this game to any Western Enthusiast or just anyone who would like to play some G.T.E. (Grand Theft Equus).

Red Dead Redemption is easily and will probably be the best game of 2010 and the developers should be commended on the amazing attention to detail.

Red Dead Redemption 2 lives up to everything and more with what Rockstar Games have promised. More importantly, the gameplay is enjoyable and accessible, the story engaging and the characters are interesting, however what Rockstar Games have achieved is creating a truly interactive, immersive and massive open-world game that feels solid and you can almost imagine that you are part of this world.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a return to greatness and Nintendo should be commended on paying homage to the classic 2d platforming archetype but then redesigning it for the modern gamer. Best of all, no matter what your age, you’ll have a blast playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder and from the very first level to the last, you’ll be full immersed with its engaging gameplay and almost interactive artwork with its graphics. Additionally it makes for the perfect party game and local co-op is a true blast!

For the price it is… I wouldn’t even say wait for a sale, I’d just say buy this game… it will challenge you, it will pull at your heart strings… but I think, especially in this day and age, we need games like this to remind us to care for one another and to point out what is really important.

A joy from start to finish. It is not only one of the best games to be released this year, it is one of the defining games of a generation.
