Daylight is an horror game that despite its many limitations in gameplay and longevity, manages to keep its scary promises mainly thanks to a dark setting of great effect. The fear, though, is not enough to make a good horror game.

A zany, brilliant concept and unfortunately pretty much nothing else: Octodad: Dadliest Catch literally doesn't have a spine capable of holding everything up, making it closer to a wasted opportunity rather than the next big indie thing.

It hasn't got much innovation, that's for sure, but Leo's Fortune is a great platform/puzzle game, with lovely graphics and a lot of depth, especially if you're aiming to the top scores.

UFHO 2 is an interesting puzzle game, with a nice concept and some depth, but also a few controls issues that keep it away from excellence.

Wayward Souls is a fun, very demanding and deep roguelike that should give you plenty of satisfaction.

Beautiful looking and full of surprises, Kirby Triple Deluxe is probably the best game in the never-ending Nintendo series.

Child of Light is a delightful game, graced by stunning visuals and a solid combat system, capable of giving a fresh new touch to the genre. Ubi Montreal's game is creative and entertaining, as well as one of the finest JRPGs for some time now.

A nice looking and competently realized tower defense game, but it's a bit repetitive and not very original.

Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage? is not really the typical lazy tie-in created as an easy cash cow: here and there you can see some intriguing ideas and cool stuff "à la Adventure Time", yet the inconsistency of the gameplay and the lack of fun seriously compromise the overall experience. Wouldn't it be time for a truly mathematical videogame?

A robust, long, flexible and fascinating dungeon crawler and another gem in the huge 3DS catalogue.

A truly unique experience, but it's not for everybody. You have to be aware of the words you're gonna read more than any others on your screen: "You're Dead".

A great conclusion to the Blackwell series, Epiphany delivers a poignant ending, the usually strong investigative and spooky gameplay and at least one breathlessly emotional "ghost story". Be aware, though, that having played the previous games is strongly suggested.

Twelve more games, and a frankly better selection than the first one, for all the people who want to explore the remote past of videogames.

Hearthstone was clearly conceived with a touch interface at the center and these mobile version proves it.

Mario Golf: World Tour is a great golf game that gets even better with its online modes. It's very good looking and extremely fun to play.

Ethan: Meteor Hunter is a deep and extremely challenging game. At times it gets too challenging, though, and it lacks the personality needed to emerge in a crowded genre.

Escha and Logy are the two halves of a great entry for this series, and a good JRPG overall. Both combat and alchemy system are fun to play and to explore, while we can not say the same about the plot, too boring and slow.

Rajas of India is a good little DLC, which deals with a somewhat obscure epoch of history. Even if it adds little to the overall picture of Crusader Kings II, it could still be a good purchase for the committed fan.

Demon Gaze will not revolutionize the JRPG genre, but it's a very well crafted game, that delivers tons of fun and high longevity. If you love dungeon crawlers, you should give it a chance.

The new contents of this Director's Cut version of Strike Suit Zero make the game more complete and a little 'more balanced in the difficulty level, but the structure remains the same as last year, with its own strengths and its many flaws.

Dead Nation, on PS Vita, is not a technical masterpiece, but it is surely an enjoyable, meaty port that fits perfectly on a handheld device.

If it wasn't buried under countless menus and all the red tape resulting from the freemium model, Trials Frontier would be a game to recommend to friends. The gameplay of Trials Frontier is smothered by its fun-breaking structure.

If you're a Gabriel Knight fan you shouldn't miss Moebius. It's not perfect, it would have benefited a lot from a bigger budget, but all the Jane Jensen mojo is still there.
