That position is already taken by the Lord of the Rings.

Maybe it won't change the rules of the genre, but Defense Grid 2 is a total package. It plays fine, it's addictive and has a lot of features. You won't be bored and you'll enjoy every drip of it. If you liked its predecessor, you won't be disappointed.

Fantasy Life is charming little action RPG. In many ways it looks like a Monster Hunter with a less steep learning curve and a wider range of activities to perform, but in the end it stands on its own thanks to the nice class system.
