With Guilty Gear -Strive-, Arc System Works has found a formula to make accessibility and depth coexist. The characters are memorable and the game mechanics guarantee always varied games, despite more limited move lists and combo routes than in the past.

Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection is an honest package, which manages to combine a decent job of graphical modernization with a fairly popular price. Even if on the first Ninja Gaiden weighs the weight of age, remains perhaps the best chapter of the whole package, and even today, one of the best action ever. Bloody and spectacular, the second chapter does not match the excellent design of the predecessor, preferring a more classic pace.The kitsch atmosphere and the unsuccessful design of some bosses deny the title its excellence, proving, however, a worthy heir to the first episode. Razor's Edge, on the other hand, proves to be an artificial and poorly blended work, being unbalanced in difficulty and dull in level design.

We are Football is a love letter to old-school football manager titles, from which inherits virtues and vices. The holistic business management simulation is fun and the boardgame vibes works well on the long run, while the tactics aspect is a little bit clumsy and not so satisfying. Overall, it's a lighter, indie and quite different alternative to Football Manager series, with a great database editor too.

Ratchet & Clank: Drift Apart is a visual masterpiece and a joyful game, that unfortunately fails to reinvent itself and is a bit too predictable.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers is a good spin-off for the series, thanks to a nice graphic style and a simple but fun gameplay. The lack of variety is the only important issue to keep in mind.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a tactical shooter that hits the mark and uses well-proven gameplay mechanics, but doesn't offer much more than the previous chapter.

Necromunda: Hired Gun unfortunately suffers from several bugs that make it a too immature game to be enjoyed properly. Underneath these issues, however, there is a far from trivial FPS.

Stimulating, entertaining and entirely devoted to collaboration between players, Operation: Tango is a cooperative adventure that offers a good number of puzzles but that shows also several technical and artistic imperfections.

A fine DLC that adds some more hours of solid Wasteland 3 content, with the usual mixture of tactical combat, open-ended gameplay and more than a few choices that can alter the story. It's not flawless, nor is it the most ambitious expansion ever made, but if you're looking for an excuse to come back to the frozen wastelands of Colorado, The Battle of Steeltown can provide another 7-8 hours of good content.

A not-so-evolved version of the 3DS game, Miitopia is fine for children but too limited for experienced gamers.

Solasta is a very good tactical RPG that offers a faithful adaptation of Dungeons & Dragons' fifth edition and a robust and satisfying combat system. It doesn't break new grounds, nor does it really try to, but Solasta succeeds at almost everything it sets up to do. If you love turn-based combat and a classic fantasy adventure there aren't many reasons not to try this game.

Siege Survival’s focus is on realism and the complexity of the management: it’s a good game, but it needs some expertise in the genre to be fully appreciated.

Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is a game that knows how to entertain but without surprising, a lively title that can return a handful of carefree hours. The lack of any playful flicker, however, does not distinguish it from many exponents of the genre. The 3D graphics show a remarkable use of cel shading, but suffer from ubiquitous stuttering. Asha in Monster World is a decent remake, then, that lacks the restoration work done on his "colleagues", shows a little 'too much the weight of the years.

A fresh and entertaining pirate-ish action RPG with nice customization and spectacular naval combat. Too bad that the lack of variety of side quests and other scattered flaws end up to row against.

Biomutant definitely has its charms: its post-apocalyptic open world is filled with lush environments and the combat encounters are entertaining, making for a fun game experience, albeit one that is sometimes a bit repetitive.

Aerial Knight's Never Yield is an honest and essential endless runner, which stands out for style and cultural vibes, but that's a little bit too naive in terms of gameplay and whose scope is narrowed by the lack of a "best time ladder" or any form of multiplayer.

The Legendary Edition is the best way to experience one of the most fascinating space opera in all of gaming, with refined visuals and also a few gameplay improvements for the first Mass Effect. A proper new R-Type game 18 years after the last one. With good gameplay, interesting levels and lots of unlockables, R-Type Final 2 is a good - if a bit rough - revival of a historical series.
