Ni No Kuni is the old classic Japanese kolossal updated to our days. If the industry turned its back to the Japanese RPG genre as a whole and the relevance of Japanese games seems to fade away more and more each day... then the work of Level 5 and Studio Ghibli is to be considered a touching love letter to the land of the rising sun and its videogames culture.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the perfect sequel to an already great opening chapter: bigger and better in almost every way, it refines and improves the previous formula by adding some new weapons and gameplay mechanics, while staying faithful to what made its predecessor stand out as a unique and quite charming game. And also, it features an even more involved story with a richer, more vibrant cast of memorable characters.

Joe Danger Touch is not just a pocket Joe Danger, but the bright, fun, challenging and very rewarding third installment of the series signed by Hello Games, with a new control system that works properly, even when it comes to jumping the shark with the iPad. Worth much more than the two and a half Euros it costs.

So realistic it's almost a professional tool more than a game. Still the best realistic racing experience out there.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is a majestic and profound experience, essentially adding an entirely new game in a vast, detailed, and artistically stunning world. It's the most ambitious and rich DLC created by FromSoftware, an essential expansion for those who loved Elden Ring and want substantial, challenging, and fresh endgame content.

A splendidly surreal experience, with astounding narrative and visual strength that can leave you repeatedly breathless in front of the screen even if it only lasts a couple of ours, tops. You don't very often see this quality of writing in videogames and you should not miss it, unless you hate these kinds of story focused experiences.

A worthy ending for a fantastic saga. Legacy of The Void is a good example of how a story should be ended.

Forza Horizon 6 does not reinvent Playground Games’ formula, but it may be one of its happiest and most refined expressions. Its Japan is a stunning, emotionally charged driving fantasy, balancing spectacle, exploration and quiet moments of beauty with a clearer progression and a slightly deeper driving model. Tokyo can feel a bit too clean and artificial at times, but the game remains huge, generous, accessible and constantly joyful.

A wonderful remaster of two masterpieces. This remastered collection of Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert is a love letter to the classics that you need to play whether you are a veteran or a new gamer that wants to try a rejuvenated classic.

Super Mario 3D World is in a better shape than ever. A joyful game that only suffers when put face to face with the best 3D Mario platformers. Bowser's Fury is an intriguing experiment, a surprising little adventure that shows some unexpected technical issues.

In this frightening and ruthless Japan, filled with all kind of monstrosity, there’s no room for mistakes. Sure, Nioh 2 is hard, but it also gives one of the deepest combat systems ever seen in a souls-like, and the wildest bunch of enemies to cut down.

I would not call Twelve Minutes just an experiment, because the result is convincing in every aspect and the perfectible parts are absolutely minor. The experience packaged by Luis Antonio and Annapurna is another excellent example of the possibilities that videogames can offer, both in narrative and interactive terms.

Neo: The World Ends With You is the widely anticipated sequel of a cult Nintendo DS title and one of the best Action RPGs available on current platforms. Building on its predecessor formula, this sequel introduces a wide variety of content that while being faithful to the original game exceeds it in every aspect. Fans should rejoice: Shibuya is back to stay.

Despite a few small clichés and a merely functional technical department, Amnesia: Rebirth manages to be consistent to the end, offering a profound and terrifying experience. If the woodworm insinuated by a videogame manages to escape from its content by undermining the user-container, then it will have performed the most difficult task: to push to reflection through a silent path of transference and identification, to really live outside the fictitious nightmare that created it.

Pokémon Ultrasun and Ultra Moon is an enhanced version of its predecessors and it keeps all of their quality. Unfortunately, there are few new and actually noteworthy features. Also, from a technical point of view, it still has some problems. Necrozma's story could have been managed much better: like this, it's almost a copy with a different ending of the one we saw in Sun and Moon.
