    Jade Empire
    Its main problem lies in the fact that it is a lesser version of two genres – action and RPG. If you want Asian flip around fighting action, Ninja Gaiden was pretty great; you should check it out. If you want a deep RPG set in an exciting new world, Knights of the Old Republic does that job just fine.

    Gears of War
    Overall Gears of Wars is a cracking game, with the addition of some more levels, the multiplayer maps and the level designer there is a lot of extras for the PC owner, the question is, if you already own the Xbox version is it still worth the purchase.

    EverQuest II
    You can spin superlatives about the sound effects in Everquest 2 but nothing could justify the sheer amount of work that has obviously gone into making this game an audio delight.

    NBA 2K7
    Both EA and 2KGames have produced fine simulators but in terms or sheer gameplay and polish we think the crown this year firmly belongs to NBA2K7.

    Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
    Over all, Ace Combat 6 is a good game but because of the final mission, it might be one you'd struggle to complete, but the multiplayer will more then make up for it, specially if you have the broadband speed to make it a real dogfight.

    SSX On Tour
    It might not bring earth shattering extras to the table but this time SSX on Tour has managed to fix everything we hated about the series in the first place and has ultimately matured enough to be an essential purchase this time around.

    Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow
    Black Arrow is extremely hard to knock even if you own the previous RS3 version, and with the Xbox Live 3.00 clan functions it soon becomes a compulsory purchase.

    Without doubt the better of the trilogy, even with its problems (which hopefully will be rectified with patches) and overall should be enjoyed by the majority of the Tycoon fans out there.

    The Warriors
    The Warriors on the PSP is just as good, and in places better, than both the Xbox and PS2 versions from two years ago. In our opinion the controls have been refined and the gameplay tweaked to great effect.

    The interface could have done with some tweaking, as it’s not immediately obvious what everything does, but aside from that there really isn’t any reason why you should give Factions a run.

    Ultimate Card Games
    A pretty compelling GBA cartridge with almost infinite replayability was exactly what the Nintendo handheld needed right now and both Cosmigo and Telegames have come up with the promised goods.

    Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
    It's only real flaw is having to compete with one of the best RPG's of the last five years. If your neighbor Bill had to fill in for Jesus Christ for a week and got everything right except for the walking on water thing, you'd think Bill had done a really awesome job.

    Falls short in one vital criteria. It’s a single player game. The prospect of a death match style arena with online support and 20 players tossing each other around with their powers of telekinesis would surely be great fun.
