The arcade mode isn't arcade enough, the practice mode is a no-brainer, and the 3-point mode is wickedly easy. Still, it's the first basketball game for the Game Cube, and right now it's also one of the better looking ones.

Either too easy or too hard, depending on the setting. You will seethe with frustration on the highest difficulty setting, and easily outscore opponents on the easiest setting. There is no in-between, which makes a great game really frustrating.

NFL2K2 is the easiest to play right out of the box, with appeal to newbies and players who don't have a ton of football experience. Madden is still the sim gamer's favorite, while NFL Fever is the flashy go-between that links all three games together.

Where March Madness doesn't compete is in the game play respect afforded to the big timers - "NBA Live 2002" and "NBA 2K2." The game has a slower pace and a less hurried feel than real basketball.

    Rez
Rez is mindless, simple fun - with the emphasis on fun. If you don't blow out your eyes on this one, you're sure to blow out your thumbs.

It belongs on the Game Cube -- the fast-paced action, silly game play, and innovative graphics will find a more appreciative audience here.

The addictiveness of Jonny Moseley Mad Trix is outweighed by the poor design and tepid game play.

It's fast pace and good graphics are impressive, but the game doesn't have the staying power to make it a classic.

What separates Giants from other games is that there are so many things to do - but you have to have some backbone to stick with it.

Still not the contender that it should be, but there is hope - and the QB Challenge is still fun to play.

In the world of flashier, harder hitting and more Hollywood style presentation of role-playing games, Wizardry may get lost in the labyrinth.

It's probably the scariest game of the last ten years, giving a face to the nameless horror that haunts many of our dreams.

This is Jedi Power Battles in 3D - a simple, fast-paced action game that makes you forget everything else for a couple of hours, just like the movie it's based on.

Without a doubt the most intriguing, most competent, and most encompassing game of the franchise. It's a great game, the best RPG the PS2 has to offer, and it does a good job of weaving story and structure together.

The game is not there for the amusement or entertainment of the general public - it's a special, silly game reserved for true aficionados of the Simpsons. Count us in.

The sounds of Max Payne double the intensity of the game. From the beginning monotone opening to the deadpan, and deadly noirish conversations that Max has with the enemies, the game is a treat for the ears as well as the eyes.

The game is nothing if not involving. A story with real depth, actual humor and pathos, and some dramatic and frightening moments is something you don't see everyday - and even more rare in RPG's.

With it's sharp detail and exciting racks, along with the fluid anaimation of the riders and the crowded racing field (with little slow-down) it's simply the best motocorss game available, and the X-Box secures it's place as one of the best looking motocross games of all times.
