The main problems with 4X4 Evo, though, are the frustratingly cheap cheating of the computer opponents that never seem to let you actually get ahead by spending your hard-earned money on upgrades...

The game is exhausting because of the number of different races, but it doesn’t take long to get bored with it.

Triple Play 2002 will appeal to a large range of fans, but will especially appeal to those who are scared off by more complex or technical baseball games, like "All Star 2003."

A Pile of Shoot. The control is almost flawless. Maneuvering your ship isn't the problem -- the crowded action is the problem.

These are still great, classic games that are worth owning if you can find the package for a decent price.

There have been a rash of bad-to-mediocre RPG's for the PS2 lately, and this one rises above the dreck with the combo system and the solid graphics and sound.

Impressive for its visual and audio style, these Brothers need more help in the gameplay department if they hope to become a franchise.

Probably one of the top five PS2 launch titles in both graphics and gameplay, X Squad shouldn't be passed up.

It's all the worst traits of arcade racers thrown together, exaggerated to the point of grotesqueness, and then slapped into a game that's at best a visual mixed bag.

It's time to move on, Lara -- Angelina Jolie is waiting in the wings, and then you're done.

Silent Scope looks good, sounds good, plays okay, but it's still a lot of fun -- but there's not a whole lot left to enjoy.

A fun game, but is it the best 3D update to the classic NBA Jam? No -- and it's not as good as many of the 2D incarnations either.

A credible and solid outing, Top Gun is top fun – if you have the patience to stick with it.

It won't last long, but it is an interesting diversion.

And it is fun, for a while, at least until you discover the unbalanced gameplay and learn to beat your opponents into submission with just a few hits.

The intensity of the missions, the fast-pace of the action, and the overall graphic flair of the game will have you coming back again and again, regardless of your patience levels.

It doesn't seem to have the same tension and competitive spirit that past T&F games did - and the selection of games represented seems overly eclectic.

Think of it as something akin to the original "PowerStone" -- but with a hell of lot more firepower, and an even more sinister setting.

It may sound like a wacky premise, but if you like odd games with a special Japanese flavor, you’ll love this one.

The graphics in this Advance title aren’t that bad – but they don’t look that much more spectacular than the GBC wrestling games.

Perfect release timing and the least complicated control set possible. They've slightly erred on both this time out.

This feels like what it is -- a rushed, early RPG that didn't receive the time or care needed to turn it into a fun game.

How could Reflections screw this up so bad? Driver 2 is a pale reflection (har har) of the original.

If the game was a bit longer, or if even each mission took longer to complete than the 5-10 minutes generally required, maybe we could give the game a higher score - shoddy visuals and all.

If you can look past graphics that came out of the Stone Age, if you can look past terrible sound effects (when guards get shot they grunt like… uh never mind), if you can look past a main character that doesn't look anything like Tom Cruise, if you can look past some ridiculous puzzles in places, you'll find Mission: Impossible, if you choose to accept it, really isn't that bad.

A simple flight combat game with stunning visuals (like most X-Box games, stunning visuals and great game play seem to hide from each other), mediocre sound, and good controls.
