Indika is like Frankenstein's monster - cobbled together from many different parts that seem to be out of place. And yet it's worth you attention, especially if you value interesting gameplay and a very intriguing storyline.

Triumph Software is a skilled bunch of people that have created a really good strategy game. You could have some reservations about the graphics, very minimal portrayal of different castles or not strong enough focus on diplomacy, but none of these issues spoils the fun. Age of Wonders III is a well made, extremely playable game.

Rocksmith isn't really a game the same way Guitar Hero is. It's more of a complex educational software that uses the look of a video game for better motivation. You could easily use YouTube videos and Guitar Pro tabs instead - and thousands of self-taught guitarists do. Fortunately putting everything in one place and using nice game-like graphics create a product that motivates better than any "usual" software does.

In terms of gameplay mechanics and story progression inFamous: Second Son is like a typical sandbox game from the previous generation. The most important thing about it is the graphics - they're amazing, and Seattle in this game outshines every other virtual city. Second Son is "just" a good TPP shooter that shows the power of PS4 - but there will be lots of better and prettier games for this console in the future. Buy it only if the graphics are the most important thing for you and you need to test your expensive new equipment. Otherwise wait for a price drop.

Lies of P is the best soulslike that does not have the FromSoftware logo on it. The inspirations are evident, but ultimately this game has its own identity. Dark atmosphere, cool storyline, dynamic combat system, pleasant exploration, some challenging bosses - it's more than enough to provide fun.

A brave attempt at pushing the series forward. Unfortunately some minor issues take away the feeling of playing a really excellent game. On the other hand Wargame is being updated almost daily, and the results are impressive - I have no doubt that Eugen's new baby is a must have for all lovers of military and the Cold War. But remember - this is a mostly multiplayer game.

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is not simply „Polish Skyrim”. It’s a well crafted RPG that surprises with great atmosphere, interesting story and the developers’ ingenuity when faced with limitations of the technical or budgetary nature.

Second big, story-driven DLC for Bioshock Infinite is a mix of exploration, stealth gameplay, following an interesting storyline and finding many hidden facts about the whole Bioshock universe. Getting to the end of Elizabeth's adventure can take up to 6 hours and everything ends with a quite shocking finale, that resembles the one from the original game. It's a must have for fans of the series.

Atilla is the same for Rome II, as Napoleon was for Empire - a very interesting and playable expansion. But is Total War: Attila interesting for fans of the entire series? Definitely! It's a game aimed at Medieval II enthusiasts. You get diverse factions, a correct strategy map and a great nation management system based on a tech tree and family tree. It's not perfect but it is very good.

The Wolf Among Us is yet another good game from Telltale Games. One major flaw is dismissing some characters - that's the reason the first season of The Walking Dead is and will be a better offering. Everything else - from the atmosphere to the storyline - is really good. Apparently Lee and Clementine's adventure wasn't a one-time high quality offer. I can recommend this game with a clear conscience.

ArcheAge has been prepared for the western player in a very good way. Trion Worlds has managed to tweak this Korean game to meet the demands of European and American markets, and that's not an easy task. What's more, the game is being constantly improved and expanded. I'm certain that fans of the MMO genre will be very happy - at least the ones that like fighting other players.

World of Tanks appears pretty late on the PS4 but does it with style. Playing without paid subscription eventually becomes tiresome but there's a big advantage: you don't need to pay for the PS Plus service. Owners of Sony's console have finally received a free, well made, pretty and engrossing war game.

Forza Motorsport 5 is a truly great game burdened with very bad marketing choices. It has an excellent driving model and superb graphics, but lack of some basic elements and the publisher's greed, that makes gamers pay lots of extra money for something that should be free, are really serious flaws. In case this extra content is made available for free, I will happily modify my opinion.

A follow-up that doesn't disappoint. What's more - it's simply a great game that should appeal to the veterans of the series (they can stop worrying about their favorite bald-headed assassin), as well to those players about to meet Agent 47 for the first time. The finished product is not only very complex, but extremely playable thanks to great freedom and rich content that provide high quality fun for hours.

Despite minor technical issues and sometimes underwhelming graphics, I had lots of fun. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a trip down the memory lane; to the times when I played the best Star Wars games for the very first time. Respawn Entertainment can easily put their game on the same shelf as Jedi Outcast. The Force is strong with this one.

Wanderlust is a novelty video game. While it does use some mechanics known from more typical games, you need to keep one thing in mind if you want to give it a chance (which you should): this is first and foremost a story about travelling, in which feelings play the central role.

The typical gamer will find Star Wars Squadrons a difficult game with a bland storyline and poor content. Others will have an opportunity to take out their joysticks and find out just how great the classic Star Wars sims were. It's good that the gaming community was reminded of the classics like X-Wings and TIE Fighers, but I'm still waiting for a true gem to come in the future.

The launch of a brand new Ninja Gaiden game after more than a decade has created great expectations in me, even more so, because this time it was a Platinum Games production. But such a long break could have created an image that is simply unrealistic. The finished product has a great combat system, but making Ryu a guest in his own game is a big problem.

Stasis is a well made adventure game with a great atmosphere and an excellent setting, reminiscent of Alien movies. It's a game that doesn't try to revolutionize the genre or to compete with classics - it should simply deliver a decent amount of fun to adventure and sci-fi horror enthusiasts. It's a shame that many smaller and bigger issues can kill almost all the fun.

Trepang2 is a game made according to a recipe that's more than 20 years old. Arguably, however, the FEAR formula is still relevant. The shooting is really, really satisfying, too. A pleasant surprise, for sure.

The New Euro Truck Simulator is a game that will attract fans of previous games for many hours. I'm certain that many virtual drivers will spend weeks in their trucks driving through Europe. But if you're that kind of player that doesn't like driving trucks, there's nothing for you here - the rules haven't changed and the slow gameplay is as slow as before. But all in all, ETS2 is the best trucking game from SCS Software.

After Dark is a well made expansion to Cities: Skylines. It introduces some eagerly awaited novelties: there are new buildings, new transport solutions, and a night-day cycle (which is really interesting and enriches the gameplay). You can wonder whether this add-on is worth its current price-tag - fans don't need to persuaded but everyone else should wait for a discount.

Pathologic 3 is a familiar survival horror concept brought to life by artists with twenty years of experience – a mature, competent, and precisely tuned work. One of the best stories in video games, told in an extremely unique way. Is it still imperfect? Of course; Pathologic 3 still struggles with the limitations of its engine and budget, but these rarely bothered me.

It's not just that Gears of War is a classic that everyone should know. The gameplay hasn't aged at all, and in this respect, it can rival contemporary titles. The basics are incredibly easy to learn, and the story combined with the shooting provides what games are meant for: a break from the grim reality where we won't be running through ruined cities and shooting at beasts emerging from the ground.

If you wanted more of the same ol' same ol' online Final Fantasy, this is what you'll get. But I wanted something more. If Dawntrail is to be a new chapter, a potential start of a new saga, it needed a better opening, not this boring thing. Time will tell what will become of this.

The new Prey isn't the old Prey. It's something completely new aimed at fans of "atmospherical exploration" in the vein of BioShock and System Shock. It's not perfect - its biggest strengths and weakness are the things this game borrows from other titles. Still, Arcane Studios has created an ambitious, difficult, engrossing game full of choices. A really great game.

PayDay 2 is one of the nicest surprises of the year. Overkill Software understands the atmosphere of gangster movies and wisely improves these pieces of gameplay, that might have been disappointing in the first game. The sequel is better in almost every way - you can play a thief and enjoy good character development and shooting systems. I really hope, that PayDay 3 will be even better.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War is one of the most original games of the year. It deals with a difficult theme and skillfully shows heavy emotions by picturing a war from an unusual perspective. A great story and superb audio-video aspect create an almost perfect game, although some simplifications and issues distort this image. Still, I will think about Valiant Hearts for a long time.

Until Dawn is a great example of interactive cinema. Here we have a great looking game with interesting characters and truly impactful decision making moments. The story isn't groundbreaking but the entire product is a well thought out slasher that doesn't allow to save your progress manually (and that creates tons of tension!).
