Instead reading or talking about GTA V, you simply need to play it. I'm going to stay in Los Santos for a while longer, because I still have lots of things to do and see. GTA V is a better version of GTA IV - and is better in almost every way. Rockstar did it again - the game has class, is smart and is constantly entertaining and amazing. It's like a little universe at your fingertips - you have to come and visit. Yeah.. the race for the Game of the Year title is pretty much over.

The new Zelda game is so big and so full of everything that it's impossible to write about all of that in a traditional review. Breath of the Wild is a true system seller, probably the best starting game in the history of gaming. Nintendo is back and if only this quality of game design is maintained, Switch will become THE console. No question.

If only I could give Red Dead Redemption 2 a higher score that 10, I would. This is by far the best open-world game that has ever graced the face of Earth. No other sandbox can even dream of holding a candle to Rockstar's newest gun-blazing, incredibly detailed Western epic. I envy all of you, who are yet to embark upon this fantastic journey and discover all the secrets this game holds. Truly, I could wipe my memory clean just to be able to experience that world once again. A true gem of the most noble kind.

After only a few hours of playing I knew everything I needed to write this review and I kept playing. GTA V is a master class of gaming, an explosion of ideas and details that will amaze everyone. You could have travelled across the entire game world and I'm sure, you haven't seen everything this game has to offer. Rockstar keeps surprising but right now does it in Full HD and with lots of cool new features.

The PC Verizon of GTA V is almost perfect. The superb base version is well known and loved, but the optimization, controls and new options knock it out of the park. Of course there were some issues with the game after the launch - so many delays should have eliminated these kinds of setbacks and for that the final grade goes down a bit. But when you finally get to play GTA V on your PC you'll be amazed.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's truly open world, player’s freedom and openness to experiment make it a true showstopper. The Last of Us is an excellent action adventure game with superb graphics and audio and really great characters. The game shows us a quite realistic vision of a cataclysmic future, and at the same time is a very good shooter mixed with high quality stealth game. The Last of Us is a linear adventure, but this is a good kind of "corridor" story that offers some freedom and doesn't limit your imagination. What is more, it's one of the most mature games in history.

Portal 2 is the best game I had the opportunity to play this year. It interests the player from the beginning and stays like that to its final minutes. Valve's newest game is also a well-written product with great attention to detail.

Perfect games do not exist and Skyrim is no exception. Bethesda's new game is faithful to the tradition of the series - it's an extremely well built and inviting sandbox that still has some minor flaws that you cannot overlook. On the other hand it has an unparalleled freedom, great atmosphere, a ton of different quests, many beautiful places that you simply have to visit and a total freedom with creating and customizing your character... Metaphor: ReFantazio is a very good RPG with great gameplay and a superbly constructed world. But it's important to remember that it's a fairy tale - then the convention adopted won't be so glaring. Maybe I myself subconsciously fell into the trap of constantly referring to Persona? The PC version is extremely pretty, works great and has room for some interesting alterations in terms of the visual side. Hearts of Stone expansion is worth every penny. Even if you usually don't enjoy story-driven DLCs (that are often boring and offer very little) you have to believe that CDP Red has made is right. This is an example everyone should follow - a great story, new characters, new equipment, new places. Stunning work. The Witcher just became even better.

We're happy to say that Devil May Cry 5 is an exceptional slasher. The combat system is great, the opponents look cool, the storyline is the best in the series, and the graphics solid, though quite often inconsistent. The veterans should be aware, however, that the game offers proper challenge only on higher difficulty levels, which are locked at the beginning.

Xenoblade Chronicles is a unique jRPG. Exceptional even. Not only fans of the genre should get to know it. The remaster for Nintendo Switch makes this game even more pronounced, allowing it to find wider audience. If you're about to play it for the very first time, I envy you.

There were many very good, or even outstanding games in the fall of 2012, but this little adventure game is something I will remember as the best, the most powerful product. No game (perhaps ever) has made such an impression on me. After finishing the story I sat motionless for a few minutes - the ending is superb! The Walking Dead is something truly exceptional and my personal game of the year. It's worth every penny.

Dark Souls III is an excellent, superbly designed game that looks and works very well. If the series had begun with this installment, it could have been deemed one of the best videogames in history. But there is a long heritage of From Software's productions and DSIII isn't really unique although its quality is very high. It's probably the best Dark Souls there can be - a must have for fans.

Obsidian has targeted a very specific audience for this game. It's aimed at someone like me - a fan of Baldur's Gate and Planescape Torment. Someone who loves long documents, tactical battles, complex mechanics and stylish graphics. Pillars of Eternity isn't just a tribute - it's definitely more than that. It's a new, unique thing that sometimes surpasses the great cRPGs from the past.

I had an incredible amount of fun when playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3. This game is worth being mentioned next to the biggest and best titles in the genre and is one of the best exclusive Switch games ever.

One could say that Nintendo is rehashing golden oldies for the Switch. But you have to admit that Wii U wasn't very popular, and it would be a shame to lose many great games due to the platform's popularity. That's why this new version of Super Mario 3D World, accompanied by a really interesting Bowser's Fury stand-alone title, looks so interesting.

Dark Souls is a game for many hours and one of the most intriguing journeys this year. But unlike most games, it's not a trip to a lovely holiday resort where all your whishes come true. On the contrary - From Software's game doesn't want for you to get to know it. But after some hard work and battling all the odds you get to the end. And then you know: it's an experience that will stay in your memory for a long time.

If gameplay that's unremarkable at best doesn't distract you from a very original artistic & design direction that's painfully necessary in the video games business. And that makes Psychonauts 2 praiseworthy!

FEZ is an effect of many painful years of creation, but it was worth the wait. Right now it's definitely the best adventure platformer for XBLA. Perhaps FEZ is two years late to be called a milestone, but it can most certainly be called a work of art.

Borderlands 2 is a complete, exceptional game. A perfect example for other developers on how to make sequels. Not only does it have a well made, very long campaign that can be completed solo or in co-op mode, but there are lots of smaller and bigger changes and tweaks that make the gameplay so much more enjoyable. All the things that were imperfect before are better now. I have a feeling that there won't be a better game this fall.

There are a few prerequisites you have to meet in order to enjoy Fire Emblem: Three Houses for dozens of hours: you can't be weirded out by the Japanese weird, you have to accept the unique visual style and hundreds of silly (but mandatory) conversations and activities, including fishing, growing plants and eating soup. If you think you lack at least one of the above skills, we recommend finding another game.

I’m as captivated as I am frustrated by Forza Horizon 6. It’s still the best open-world racing game on the market and I intend to spend hundreds of hours playing it – but after a four-year wait and significant competition, I was expecting more innovation. It’s simply more of the same, just on a fresh and beautiful map.

Death Stranding 2 doesn't have to be perfect, but it is exceptional as a game and a sequel. It's hard for me to point out any real flaws. I played like a haunted person, looking forward to the next scenes. This is a complete experience - much bigger, better, more dynamic, much more interestingly conceived and varied compared to the previous installment.

Resident Evil Requiem continues the series' winning streak, once again bringing fans everything that is best about it – and this time in a way that satisfies both action and horror enthusiasts. Although the numerous references to previous installments mean that Requiem cannot be recommended to completely new players, I wasn't bored for a moment. This is not a requiem for the Resident Evil series – but a tribute to its thirty-year legacy.

Many hours spent with XCOM: Enemy Unknown turned out to be breathtaking. The atmosphere is unforgiving, but the immensely satisfying gameplay convinced me, that Firaxis Games are true masters of their craft. This is an XCOM game that should bring new fans to an almost dead genre. This game is a truly engrossing strategy and one of the contenders for the game of the year title.

Persona 3 Reload is distinguished from the series by its darker tone, bolder twists and stronger main storyline. The revamped and slightly simpler gameplay makes this installment of the series an ideal entry point for new players and a tribute to veterans of the original, who can finally experience an (almost) definitive edition of this game on modern platforms.

It Takes Two is a terrific game, albeit one that's hard to recommend without a certain mindset. 3D platformer enthusiasts sure won't be disappointed. And if they look for unique ways to cooperate with other players, they've just found an excellent proposition. But the narration is a different beast; a much weaker one. It's definitely a step down compared to A Way Out.

Many people have been expecting L.A. Noire to be Rockstar's answer for Mafia II. They are bound do be disappointed - the games don't have much in common. Team Bondi's game is a detective story, a new generation of adventure games, an original, unusual and extremely absorbing product. I had the best time playing L.A. Noire. I grew to like Cole Phelps and was glad to help him fight evil lurking in dark corners of The City of Angels, especially that each case was interesting and intriguing on its own.

Horizon: Zero Dawn marks Guerilla Games' return to form and is a showcase for what PS4 can do. Of course, it's far from perfect but thanks to diverse landscapes, excellent graphics and wildly satisfying combat mechanics Horizon looks really impressive. Just don't let the boring first two hours discourage you.
