Tyranny is a game of many contrasts and will stir come controversy. On one hand w have an impression that every dialogue counts and we're always deep inside the main quest (even though we're doing something else). On the other hand there are many gameplay solutions that look like torn out from a much more complex game and they don't get to shine. The beginning is superb - later the game loses some of its appeal.

There is not enough games that tend to smuggle some deeper content under the guise of entertainment. Alan Wake is one of the few. Alan Wake's American Nightmare isn't even trying to be in the same league. It's just a fun little game that allows you to shoot monsters.

Blasphemous 2 is a really cool metroidvania, a full-fledged 2D soulslike and simply a good game with appealing pixel-art. It pulls you in and is able to keep the experience fresh.

Dear developers, you can't treat us like this. Deadly Premonition 2 has a great story with excellent characters that are held back by an abysmally bad technical side. Fans will accept this and have fun. Everyone else will avoid DP2 at all costs.

If I were to jugde Krater by dismantling it into small parts and giving a grade to each one, this grade would be a 6. Krater has a spark and ideas, there's a lot of content and good fun, but there's also some boredom and repetitiveness. There was not enough time to polish the game. Krater has a lot of potential that will be used under two conditions: some of you will trust Fatshark and buy their game, and Fatshark will keep its promise and expand the game.

Immortals of Aveum is a perfect game for a subscription service. It has its flaws, but most of them can be easily eliminated in the future. However, I can't shake the feeling that this game has been left for dead even though it is really cool.

Lollipop Chainsaw doesn't have to appeal to all slasher fans, but I think that both the design and behavior of the main character have a chance of breaking ice during the encounter with a conservative gamer that is not accustomed to Japanese style. Suda51 and his team seem to be on the rise recently - a good idea is paired with good execution.

Fallout Shelter on the PC is a lightweight strategy game that takes its time to gain momentum but generates reasonable amounts of fun. On one hand it has some issues, on the other the "just one more click!" syndrome is present and finally the game looks the way it should have from the beginning. Fallout Shelter needs some polishing and isn't perfectly suited for this platform but it definitely deserves your attention.

Song of the Deep is a very pleasant but mostly unoriginal game. It's pretty but not as much as Ori and the Blind Forest, the weapons are cool but not as inventive as in other games of the same studio. Still - this underwater adventure is worth your time but it could use some polishing.

The creators of This is the Police 2 were not able to dismantle the gameplay routine of police chief's everyday work. The game's new feature - tactical missions - is well-made and really fun but this feeling ends very quick. You can't save your game during these missions which is very frustrating. Still, the story is great and the fans of the previous game will be happy.

Phantom Doctrine is a game that can pull you in so hard that you won't notice where the night has gone. It generates lots of fun thanks to cool ideas and good implementations but it can also be frustrating at the same time. If not for the cheating AI we would be taking about a truly wonderful game.

Telltale's Batman is quite an attempt at refreshing this sub-genre - I had fun and was surprised a couple of times. Unfortunately, the thing that was lacking were strong emotions. Also, the technical side leaves a lot to be desired. This Batman has everything in the right places but that doesn't translate into something truly inspired.

If you like 3D platformers from Nintendo, give Forgotten Land a chance. It will keep you entertained for a few nights, even if not everything works as it should. The basic concept and mechanics are there, but the sequel needs to expand and improve them.

For me Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts is one of the biggest surprises of the year. I was prepared for a rehashed Ghost Warrior 3 - a very tiresome production. Fortunately, the length and diversity of the new installment maintained my interest throughout the entire game. Contracts is definitely the best game in the series, far more enjoyable than Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

The Sinking City feels more like it is based on a Sherlock Holmes novel rather than a game inspired by H. P. Lovecraft's work. The part of the story focusing on supernatural elements is pretty weak, but side-quests more than make up for it. This game has a very strong "one more place to visit" or "one more conversation" vibe. It's clunky but effective.

A really unique game - the developers have changed the concept multiple times and the final product differs from the basic idea. The most obvious thing is that the RPG layer is smaller and less important, than the dominant strategic one. Fans of previous games in the series may be disappointed, but strategy fans should give it a try. Dragon Commander's big advantage is the fact, that it works perfectly as a real time and turn-based game at the same time.

State of Decay 2 has a dozen of bugs, a boring start, bad optimization and a repetitive gameplay. Against all odds, the gameplay offered by the game sucked me into the world of Zombie apocalypse and I want to play it more and more. It has this "spark" that makes you keep playing the game - a cool atmosphere, satisfying combat and sense of accomplishment that comes from every performed action. It is a Zombie-Survival-Gothic.

There’s quite a lot of things that are not perfect in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii – a short and unevenly paced story is one of them. Fortunately, there’s so much good stuff that it balances out. Combat, naval battles, absurdly funny side quests and a unique atmosphere of “contemporary piracy” are fun enough to make Like a Dragon fans feel at home.

Thronebreaker is a great solution for players that value amazing story and beautiful graphics over everything else. Despite some minor gameplay issues and unrealized potential of the game, players will have a lot of fun. If you miss the world and lore of The Witcher, it's definitely worth to check this title.

Danse Macabre in terms of quality, atmosphere and an overall impression looks better, that the previous expansion. Captain Hack's pirate adventures (although there wasn't much pirating in them) were quite good, but Sandro's necromantic escapades are much more enjoyable. Still here isn't much content here, but every fan of Heroes VI should consider it a must-buy.

Watch Dogs 2 is a bold sequel with some issues. Not all gameplay modifications are good, there are some bugs and performance on consoles isn't perfect. What's more the main story is pretty far from interesting but fortunately side missions remedy that. Ubisoft's new game can be really entertaining but you can't take it seriously. It works well as a cool and pretty funny product.

Call of Duty needs freshening up. Infinite Warfare has a surprisingly good single-player campaign and a still really good multiplayer. Unfortunately all of this looks like minimal touch ups on a gameplay core that hasn't changed in a decade. Players seem to think the same - new CoD debuted in a disappointing fashion, plus the console version behaves better than the PC one.

Some will like this game, some won't. Fans of Warband will be excited by the multiplayer, but sandbox lovers won't find anything here. Mount & Blade players will appreciate much better graphics, but others won't be impressed. Ethusiasts of intuitive swordfights will welcome the simple fighting system, but slasher veterans will most likely be bored. The key thing is the future - the amount of active players will decide about the game's success or failure. The biggest problem is lack of free-to-play gaming model, but still there's some potential and I quite like it.

Shadow of the Beast is not a real remake but at the same time it's not a modern, stand-alone title. There are lots of archaic mechanisms in place but all in all I had a very good time. This is a very graceful retelling of the Beast story (mostly for older players), unfortunately without much perspectives for a future sequel.

Render Cube studio has prepared a very pleasant and relaxing game. Medieval Dynasty is like a distant cousin of Animal Crossing - an FPP game on a budget, without multiplayer, but available on PC. It's worth playing once version 1.0 debuts. If you're new to this game and genre, I assure you - it is a survival like no other.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is an ambiguous game. It can amaze you with graphics and audio, and the story is definitely a very strong selling point, but - on the other hand - the walking speed is excruciatingly slow and the answers given by the game are sometimes not enough. Still, I managed to endure until the end and emerged victorious (and satisfied). It's a game for true fans of "walking simulators".

Batman: Arkham VR is an interesting and well made adventure. The whole thing may be too short and suffers from some technical issues but getting to know this story directly from Batman's perspective is an extraordinary feeling. We may know the mechanics and atmosphere but the VR really makes it worth your while.

For Honor is a really interesting game with enormous potential. The combat system is tremendous - you can learn it in a few minutes but mastering all the possibilities is a task for dozens of hours. Unfortunately, almost everything else is flawed - weak single player campaign, network issues, dull domination mode and irritating microtrasactions. If For Honor takes the same route as The Division, we'll get an excellent game further down the road.

Mario Golf: Super Rush is a golf simulator, that doesn't take itself seriously. This makes the game very pleasant. What is more, the game introduces some innovations to the formula which makes it feel pretty complete. It's a pity that Mario Golf is a "party game" focused heavily on 4-person competitive play.
