The Switch port of Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is well worth a look. The gyro controls are implemented well, and the game often defies its age to be a fun little shooter.

While it does have some issues, the core gameplay of Dead or Alive 6 is fluid and brilliantly fun. It’s certainly the best in the series so far.

Even with some hiccups when playing single-player, the attention to detail in this beautiful story all about friendship is bliss.

This adventure game with light puzzles is well worth your time if you enjoy fairy tale aesthetics and stories. I adored the art and music and the only real flaw with this game is the few minor performance issues with Switch version. The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince is a charming storybook tale and I can’t wait to see the next release from NIS’ smaller team.

Cris Tales is an incredible take on the JRPG with impressive time powers, but the loading times and framerate on Switch are disappointing.

Probably the most definitive Just Dance game yet, but maybe it should be the last?

With a phenomenal Cyberpunk aesthetic and fantastic characters, Dex is close to being an incredible experience. Lackluster combat and hacking let it down, but it still has a lot to offer for fans of the grim Sci-fi setting.

City of Colors blends the aesthetic stylings of platformers past with design concepts taken from modern classics. While this meeting of the times may not be a constant success, there’s enough gorgeous art and frequent, snapshot ideas here to satisfy any gamer’s dietary requirement of primary colours.

If you approach Wrath: Aeon of Ruin with no expectations beyond a violent way to kill a few hours, then there is fun to be had.

Watch Dogs: Legion suffers from a little jank in the tank, but the recruitment system is fantastic and there's just so much to see and do. The open world is full of detail, and the whole experience is full of heart.

There are times where you’ll love the flow of the levels and the tension of the darkness chases, but sometimes those moments will be clouded by the horrors of the frustrating level design and unnecessarily brutal difficulty.

Swing Swing Submarine should be very proud of what they have achieved here, an excellent and fairly unique puzzler that is addictive, fun and rewarding.

140 is a cold, mathematical yet beautiful and sensory platforming experience with a pulsing synthetic soundtrack and reflexive movement.

If you’ve been craving more Senran Kagura after Estival Versus or just want a fun brawler with anime titillation, Valkyrie Drive is for you.

Nightmares from the Deep 3: Davy Jones offers a formulaic but fun, unchallenging puzzle game wrapped up in a pirate mystery.

Given its simplicity and natural charm, it is really hard to dislike Super Arcade Football, and the longer you play, the more compulsive it becomes.

Loud is a perfectly serviceable rhythm game, but a forgettable soundtrack and a lack of content makes it hard to recommend.

If you can get past this issue (both in gameplay terms and the mental barrier it presents) then you should find that Light Fall is mostly a fun and interesting platformer, with some very cool puzzle elements and a story that you’ll want to see through to the end. Just don’t throw your Switch around in frustration. That thing’s expensive.

This is a game built from the ground up for co-op, you’ll have more fun with more players. Magicka 2 loses something when tackled in single player.

Snowfall is a generally well executed if rather mistimed expansion to Cities: Skylines, allowing you to build expansive cryogenic creations but unfortunately doesn’t go far enough in terms of providing a wintertide chill to truly remember.

The gyro controls are a welcome addition, but Resident Evil 5 on Switch feels inferior to other formats thanks to a sub-par framerate.
