Assassin's Creed Mirage is perfectly serviceable and will certainly scratch an itch for major fans - though it's arguably not a bad entry point for newcomers either.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania is an excellent time with bags of replay value, potential in its online leaderboards and competitive play, and works a treat in local co-op thanks to the fun, if sometimes superficial minigames.

EA Sports FC 25 has a focus on tactics that are mostly noticeable, and while Rush is a cool new mode, it does feel pretty similar to last year.

GRID Legends is a wonderful racer that dials down the simulation elements of other racers, making it accessible to everyone. It features a fair amount of modes and some stunning visuals, as well as a wide range of cars to choose from.

A beautifully drawn adventure told by an extremely talented voice actor that suffers a little from its own style.

PGA Tour 2K21 is a lot of fun to play, with the best gameplay in a golf game to date. The courses look beautiful, and the presentation is on point as well. Whilst the career mode is quite basic, it never ruins the enjoyment of the game.

Airborne Kingdom is rarely a very exciting game, but it’s absolutely lovely to look at, feels relaxing and pleasant to play, and manages to stand out in a genre that has been crowded for decades.

With so many Tower Defence games out there, Steampunk Tower starts with a great idea that works well for the most part, and it’s hard to fault the basic gameplay. It’s well-presented and nicely polished, with nothing intrusive when it comes to in-app purchases...Sadly, variety is the main aspect that stops it from being a great game instead of simply a better-than-average one.

GoD Factory: Wingmen may win the award for worst named game of 2014 thus far, but this naming blunder masks one of the smartest multiplayer team games of recent years. Layers of thoughtful design are married to tight, responsive, spontaneous space flight controls to make a four-versus-four online space shooter that’s both thrilling and satisfying in equal measure.

Hob is very much a case of a game I’m glad got a Switch port so I could experience it. The big question is whether this version is the true “Definitive Edition”. In most cases, people looking for portability are ok with compromises to be able to play on the go. Hob needs some work on the visual side of things for sure but other than that, it is great thanks to various enhancements and additions this release brings.

She Remembered Caterpillars is a great addition to the Switch’s puzzle library. The port itself is pretty great as well. I love the artstyle and having touch support for gameplay in a puzzle game is always welcome. While the levels can ramp up in difficulty pretty quickly, this is an excellent puzzle game with great art and one that is worth getting on Switch.

Wayward Strand provides a poignant reminder that life is fragile, but within its delicate boundaries, we have a gift unlike anything else. The residents are all interesting thanks to great writing and a solid cast, and when you're done, you'll be left feeling a deep sense of respect for the elderly.
