Kingdom Eighties is a fantastic tribute to the 80s, offering satisfying base-building and plenty of nods to the movies of the time.

Bayonetta 2 remains one of Platinum’s best games, and is a treat on Switch just as it was on Wii U.

Gunjack’s slim ties to the EVE universe don't stop it from being a thoroughly entertaining arcade shooter that recreates the cockpit-shooter/light-gun genre within a VR space wonderfully without the need for peripherals or huge enclosures. [Tested with HTC Vive]

Bayonetta on the Switch is a fantastic port for handheld mode but there’s not much improved for TV gamers aside from load times.

Planet Zoo: Console Edition offers so much to do, but a lot of work has been put into making it transition nicely to consoles. There's a hefty tutorial and constant help throughout, and with some gorgeous visuals it's well worth trying.

If you like Quantic Dream's games and think the idea of that style mixed with an "I Know What You Did Last Summer" or "Scary Movie" style narrative would be good, you're probably going to really dig it.

The Sexy Brutale is a lavishly stylish, unique and engrossing murder mystery game in which, on a day that always restarts, you must prevent the staff of a grand mansion from murdering the several guests and solve the intriguing mystery.

ICEY on Switch is a great port. While I may sound like a broken record for wanting touch screen support for the UI, the real big missing feature here is video recording. Games like this that have you feeling like a badass in combat should have video recording so those special moments can be shared easily.

Dandy Dungeon is a breath of fresh air in a time when most games take themselves too seriously. I love the music and humour here. Having already played a good amount of it on iOS, it is good to see a whole new audience get a chance to play this since the mobile version is no longer available. If you enjoy roguelites and great humour and want something that oozes charm, you need to get this.

Overall, this has a few slowdown issues but the ability to play with both touch and button controls in addition to being able to play it anywhere makes this the definitive version of the game for me.

While it doesn't stray far from the template Limbo set, Inside is a gorgeous, beautifully directed puzzle platformer that you'll want to see through to the end.

I can’t deny that Forza Motorsport 7’s racing is some of the most fun there is, but its overabundance of progression systems make it more of a grind than it should be.

Borderlands 3 doesn't add much to previous iterations, but is a still a smart, almost rhythmic shooter with superb movement, deep RPG systems and more guns that you can shake a stick at. You might need to mute the dialogue though.

This is a brilliant title, and one I’m happy to see moving to every console possible. Buy this game to support meticulous design, and condemn mediocrity by doing so. Flinthook is marvelous, it’s outstanding, and although it’s bloody hard, it’s rewarding. It deserves another slice of love to be poured upon it nearly a year after initially hitting our gaming devices.
