A diverting pirate-themed ship-based shooter, Buccaneer: The Pursuit of Infamy is palatable in small bites. Just don’t plan to make an entire gaming meal out of this one.

Mushroom Men: Rise of the Fungi is juggling too many play styles at the same time. Instead of coming together into a fun package, the platforming, RPG elements and real-time combat get in each others’ way.

Mushroom Men’s charm and character make it much more than the sum of its parts. In spite of its flaws, I highly recommend it.

It's suffering from some of the worst performance issues of all time, it's not the best looking game, the story sucks and the hero is pretty lame. But if you can look past those shortcomings you will find that The Last Remnant has a lot to offer.

Just like on the PC, the 360 version of Left 4 Dead is just immensely fun to play. Whether you go on the hunt or are the hunted, Left 4 Dead will leave you wanting more every time you finish a campaign.

While it's a short campaign, the game's solid as a rock and offers a good deal of replayability.

In almost every way Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades is exactly like the original. It still hurts your hand, has tinny audio and doesn't feel quite right.

A decent action RPG with some interesting and unique character development. It may take some time to appreciate, and many won’t. It’s worth a look, but it’s not for everyone.

Mirror's Edge is a lot of things, but it's certainly not boring.

World at War is a fun rollercoaster ride that is every bit as good as Call of Duty 2 and 3. Unfortunately after the success of Call of Duty 4 it's hard to go back to World War II, even when the game looks and plays this good.

SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 is a solid entry into the genre filled with so many features it will have WWE fans playing for months. The multiplayer modes and creation tools are very good and offer a lot of variety and increased replay value.

There’s still a lot of work to be done before the Wii has a truly excellent wrestling game, but the semi-natural controls, competent graphics and breadth of gameplay in WW Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 make it a good choice if you’re a Wii-only person.

If this is your type of game, then have a great time, everybody else should probably get their kicks elsewhere.

It’s a real shame that WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 has such unorthodox controls. There is a lot of game to be had here, but the stylus controls for the sake of stylus controls make it hard to get to.

Pick up this game and round up some friends—Gears of War 2 is this year’s multiplayer experience.

Silly name aside, this is one of the most creative action 2D shooters I have seen in a long time.

Unfortunately the game doesn't feel as fresh two years later, but that shouldn't keep you from having a great time playing through this disaster-filled puzzle game!
