It also isn't helped by the fact that it doesn't control particularly well. The characters all move awkwardly, lurching about the screen in the least smooth way imaginable regardless of whether you're using the left thumbstick or the D-pad. Likewise, the game takes an annoyingly literal approach to 2D hacking and slashing, requiring that all enemies be pretty much directly in front of you if you want to hit them.- Gaming Age

Seriously, I have no idea where Playground Games can go with Forza Horizon from here. The map is huge, yet well-populated with things to do. The car selection is vast, the controls are spot-on, the game looks gorgeous in all areas, the musical options are diverse, the online play is excellent, and the community tools are rock solid. I have little doubt that we’ll see a Forza Horizon 4 down the road, but I think you’ll find Forza Horizon 3 leaves little room for improvement. It’s an A+ game top to bottom, and absolutely one of the best games you’ll play all year.- Gaming Age

I definitely think The Tomorrow Children is interesting, if for no other reason than the fact that I can’t quite remember ever having played a communist simulator to this degree, but I don’t think that the actual gameplay mechanics are particularly engaging so far.- Gaming Age

Worms W.M.D is a fun game. Sometimes it's silly, sometimes it can be frustrating, but no matter how the battles go, you manage to have fun. It's quirkiness and overall fun factor give it a charm that not many turn based games of this caliber can even come close to.- Gaming Age

The real reason I know I love Alone With You is that I'm having a hard time explaining why I love it as much as I do. Sure, I stand by the idea that it has superior plotting, graphics. and music. But the real reason I love it is because, deep down, it just speaks to me.- Gaming Age

NHL 17 continues the trend EA has been building lately, and it’s another quality title in the franchise. The problem I have with it is, I don’t see the game as an every year investment, unless you're a true diehard hockey fan.- Gaming Age

The Final Station doesn’t break any molds, nor is it revolutionary in its gameplay or ideas, but it is fun. It is good old fashioned, quality fun.- Gaming Age

Style Savvy: Fashion Forward has the light touch that one would hope for in a lifestyle simulator. Even more fascinating is that it's not targeted at a 20-something like myself, but the game's attitude makes it feel accessible for all audiences. It's coherent, well-composed, and actually interested in fashion. Although it's not my typical venue, it's easy to imagine that those looking to relax and find their style will be able to dig very deep in Fashion Forward.- Gaming Age

To be sure, its frustrations and annoyances — and straight up bugs — are so egregious, there's no way I could possibly recommend it. But I don't hate it, necessarily. I think that when things are going right, in those rare moments when you can just enjoy the amazing-looking scenery and not have to worry about wonky cameras or enemies popping through walls, it looks like a pretty cool game. Those moments, alas, are few and far between.- Gaming Age

Bravo to the developers for taking the feedback and helping make the game more accessible. There's a ton to like about this game and I hope more people will hear about it and give it a try.- Gaming Age

You won't be sinking days after days into Valley — but the one day or so you do spend with it will be enough to stick with you for a long time.- Gaming Age

Right now, unfortunately, it's a bit of a brightly-coloured, confusing mess, and you're better off waiting and seeing whether they fix everything.- Gaming Age

It never felt like the game would be substantially better if I had an intimate knowledge of what was going on. It felt like it would be better if it was, you know, a better game.- Gaming Age

It works best if you know the genre, since it's a cool piece of history and it's neat to see how they've evolved over the last few decades, but if you don't have that, Day of the Tentacle Remastered is probably going to be a little too niche for your tastes.- Gaming Age

There are only so many bad guys you can explode to bright red bits before they — pardon the pun — start to bleed into each other. If that's your thing, then for sure you'll want to check this game out, but if it's not, you'll want to proceed with a bit of caution.- Gaming Age

Out of the three Resident Evil rereleases, this is easily the best game of the three. At the same time, if you picked it up digitally on the PS3 or Xbox 360, there isn’t anything new other than being able to play on your current gen consoles.- Gaming Age

It's clearly not for most people, whether it controls more smoothly on PS4 or not. But it's also a cut above a whole bunch of equally offensive games, and for that reason (if nothing else), it deserves its share of praise.- Gaming Age

Just about my only qualm with Laser Disco Defenders is that aforementioned insane level of difficulty. Normally, that might be a dealbreaker for me, but when the overall package is as enjoyable as this one is, that's a problem I have no issue overlooking.- Gaming Age

I loved being able play the game's short missions on the go, I loved how replayable the levels were with their 3-star ratings, I loved seeing the aesthetic of the original expanded in a whole new way. In short: I loved SteamWorld Heist.- Gaming Age

To be sure, I never fully understood the end goal of what I was doing in Adventures of Mana. But, for whatever reason, that didn't bother me all that much. I can't say that the game has given me any insight whatsoever into why Final Fantasy — or even the Mana franchise — has endured for so long, but I can definitely say that if I'm looking for an easy-to-pickup RPG to play on the go, this is a game that's right near the top of my list.- Gaming Age

The King of Fighters XIV is by far the best KOF to date, and also trumps those other recent big releases by a huge margin. If you are a fighting game fan in general, you owe it to yourself to own this beauty! The game play, characters and even the story line have been ramped up to perfection. I cannot recommend this one enough. Forget the other guys, THIS is the perfect fighting game for the PS4!- Gaming Age

It provided more of what I loved from Human Revolution, and certainly scratches a stealth-action itch that few games not called Metal Gear Solid fail to provide. I love the level of freedom granted to players with this series, and Mankind Divided capitalizes on that concept constantly.- Gaming Age
