There just didn’t seem to be much care put into this title, and if I were a fan of the series, I’d consider this title a slap in the face.

To be sure, a story about sharks eating a bunch of people could absolutely be compelling. But it would require a lot more effort than what went into Submersed — which, as it stands, is too frustrating to be as creepy as it wants to be.

So while I can understand what Tornado is trying to go for, I never really found it all that fun to play.

I can't think of a single positive thing to say about Buffy. It's boring, unoriginal, ugly, takes only an hour or so to finish, and falls far short of the mark. Even if you're a hardcore Buffy fan, I wouldn't recommend this sorry excuse for a game to you.

As a movie game goes, it could have been pretty decent if there was a larger variety of enemies and of course the game was about 4 times the length. As is, we have another movie licensed game that fails to deliver the goods.

Word Puzzle is an annoying, lazy, and boring game, and gets a definitely do not buy from me.

If somehow, Nintendo thinks due to the price gouging, people want this and they restock it, wait for a price drop.

What is the purpose of completing the tasks other than unlocking some mini games? I have no idea, but the tasks are usually not that bad. In fact, some of them are even fun. They must have had some creative writers on staff to come up with the tasks.

I was almost worried that I didn't play it long enough or with enough dedication to really get into it, but then I realized that with every minute I played I just felt more and more contempt and loathing, so it was probably best to just put it down.

As someone who’s averse to huge challenges in games, I’m not saying I want Where Angels Cry to become impossible, but it would have been nice for the game to show a little bit of life somewhere. Instead, we have a game that looks awful, sounds just as bad, and whose boring gameplay can’t make up for those drawbacks. Even if you go in with fairly low expectations, Where Angels Cry won’t manage to come close to clearing that low bar.

XEL isn’t a great game. It’s not even a mediocre game. It’s a half-finished mess that shouldn’t have been released in this state.

The button mashing is so boring, the dialogue so conspicuously profane and inane and the presentation so blocky and dull that the only motivating factor in playing is the promise of unlocking the original Final Fight.

I personally would have preferred a classic “Joe” title, since nostalgia seems to be in these days, but for what’s it’s worth, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra video game is exactly what you would expect from a film to game translation, nothing more, nothing less.

Acclaim has wasted no time in beating every other company to the market with not only an inferior product, but also quite possibly one of their worst creations -- ever.

Omerta: City of Gangsters feels like a game that’s half way there in execution. The empire building aspect is a whole lot of fun, and seems to be more thought out than the combat. It doesn’t help that the combat is similar to XCOM, and that XCOM did it way better. But the empire building half of the gameplay is really promising, and something that deserves to be expanded on more.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z definitely qualifies as a disappointment. On the surface this is a flashy, stylized action game, but it takes very little digging to realize there’s little substance underneath.

What gets under your skin is that most of the combos are unblockable, and once you are caught in string of moves, you must wait until the move set is over before you can block or counter attack. This can be frustrating on both A.I. and human battles.

If the control had been worked on a little more Jeremy McGrath Supercross 2000 could have been a lot better.

If this game had been free to play, I probably would have dismissed many things and given it a higher score, but at $8.99, this is one you can definitely skip.

Despite the many cups, cars, upgrades, skins, and everything else a cell phone game crams in to substitute for meaningful content, Asphalt 3D falls on its face straight out of the gate with a slipshod port of its mobile equivalent that at least demonstrates how busted most consolized phone games can get.

What you are left with is a collection of average and uninteresting mini-games that try to grab your interest by quickening the pace.

Rengoku does offer Wi-Fi multiplayer action, but that just means you have to con up to three others to endure this ludicrous blunder with you.

Overall I had fun with it as your characters get leveled up and check off career highlights, but this doesn’t make up for things. Continuing with the trend of women in each mode, they also added Mixed Tag matches, which has taken way too long to show up in the franchise. Again a nice addition, but not game changing. That’s pretty much it; some new wrestlers and arenas, but mostly same old WWE 2K, except worse character models.

The title moves along at a swift 60 fps to make for a very fluid travel experience. The frame rate does come at an expense. To put it bluntly, the characters look like well textured Legos. When the character zooms in for in-game cinemas the characters’ true blocky form is revealed.

There's always next year -- but isn't that what we were saying last year?
