World Driver’s faults can be easily overlooked. Midway and Boss have managed to offer up a simulator that sits just this side of “arcade style” and actually do it right. Anyone with a little patience will get good at this game fairly quickly and find that it’s quite hard to put down. World Driver’s definitely a keeper.- Gaming Age

Overall Darkside Chronicles is pretty fun, and while not without its own set of flaws, it's clearly the part of this collection that's going to be worth checking out. Unless you're some type of Resident Evil die-hard though, I'd urge you to avoid Umbrella Chronicles, as I find it to be a pretty weak entry that does little more than retell you the plot highlights from a few of the previous Resident Evil titles, and certainly feels less polished when stacked up against Darkside Chronicles. And at $15, Darkside Chronicles is easily worth the asking price, and makes for a pretty fun experience.- Gaming Age

To be sure, there are worse ways to waste three hours than in the presence of very good voice actors doing their thing over gorgeous visuals. And, like I said, the game always tries to make you feel like you’re in the presence of something great. But the reality is, no matter how much South of the Circle aspires to greatness, with a story like this, it’s never more than merely okay.- Gaming Age

It's hard to fault a game for being mediocre, but Ever Oasis never reaches the potential for ideas it brings to the table. A surprisingly challenging shooter, but not necessarily the best looking one out there. My only real gameplay issue with the game is that it's almost too slow and easy at first, and the plodding pace that the auto scrolling levels go by can start to bore a player before you get to the harder stuff in the mid-game section.- Gaming Age

The Long Reach has a bad habit of undercutting its tension with humour; while there’s obviously a long history of horror games and films using jokes their advantage, here they have a tendency of draining all the fright out of a scene. Similarly, the fact you have to click on everything in order to see if it has a use means that you’re spending more time thinking about how the game wants you to solve a puzzle than you are on the (fairly creepy) mystery. Again, none of this makes The Long Reach a bad game, by any means. But it also means that if you want to see the class of 2D horror films, you need to check out Home or Lone Survivor.- Gaming Age

Unfortunately, like its predecessor, Midnight Shadows has all these great ideas, but it doesn’t seem to know what to do with them. The game still consists entirely of your on-screen characters very slowly walking around neighbourhoods, looking for clues and hiding whenever monsters come close. To be sure, there are worse things for a game to be than unsettling and spooky — especially if, obviously, we’re talking about a horror game. It’s just that it doesn’t take long before you wish that Yomawari: Midnight Shadows would deliver more than a creepy feeling, and, like its predecessor, it’s a wish that never quite pays off.- Gaming Age

When you get down to it, it’s still a lot of basic hack and slash fights broken up by lots of endless cutscenes, with extra side quests there to pad out the length even further. Everything looks blurry and unfocused, and the game makes use of the old “shroud everything in fog to hide shortcomings” trick that horror games used a few generations ago. Even worse, you can practically see the world falling apart, whether you’re looking from a distance (and you see gaps where buildings need to pop in) or up close (where the game’s assets don’t fully materialize). It’s bad, and there’s no way around that unfortunate fact. And it really is unfortunate, because, as I said, there are quite a few good elements to be found here. I’d even go so far as to say that if you can overlook how hideous it is, then Lost in Random is incredibly rewarding. But at the same time, there are some very real performance issues here, and if you don’t want to spend dozens of hours straining your eyes at ugly graphics, I certainly wouldn’t blame you.- Gaming Age

That phrase “kind of works” really applies to all of Demon Turf. It’s got some interesting ideas and interesting visuals, and you can see where the developers were going with it all – but the more you play, the more it all seems like it all only sort of hits the mark. Just about the only way that it’s fully on-target is in how well it feels like a 3D collectathon from the late ‘90s, but given there are plenty of games out there from that era – not to mention the past 20+ years – that you can choose from just as easily, Demon Turf feels like it’ll get lost in the crowd.- Gaming Age

It’s an absurd tale featuring dinosaurs, monsters, and lost civilizations, and the voiceovers of the two characters are enough to make it enjoyable. Generally, the performance is decent enough on an Xbox One X, even if the aesthetic is all over the place. One minute players are treated to some great looking creatures, lighting and effects, and then next there will be some laggy performance and low quality textures. Again, ARK veterans should know what to expect more or less. To spite some issues and inconsistent performance, ARK: Genesis Part 1 is a solid content drop for the game so far and should hopefully be enough to hold players off until Part 2 which is scheduled for later in the year.- Gaming Age
