While the slower pace might cause some of the more hardcore fans of the series to take issue, it allows those not completely at home with the control scheme to finally be able to pull off some technically impressive plays, making it one of the most accessible Maddens yet.- GameZone

For what RIFT tries to do, it does very well. I rarely felt bored with all the random events and rifts constantly breaking up the monotony of questing. It's also important to give Trion a tremendous amount of credit for releasing such a "complete" MMO.- GameZone

The b-ball gameplay is great – stellar controls, smooth frame rate, and an impressive array of animations. NBA 08's pinball and Arkanoid-style mini-games are tons of fun, and the rest are entertaining diversions that encourage players to return.- GameZone
