Neo Contra’s greatest fault is that it ends before its time. Second, it’s a bit on the easy side when compared to other run-‘n’-gun shooters.

Sure it’s packed with drool-worthy game modes, interesting new features and a slick presentation but it’s plagued by flaws too hard to ignore and visuals just not good enough to make this a game worth buying.

A wonderfully freaky good time with plenty of high-flying action and humor, although the game does feel a bit incomplete in a lot of places.

It might not satisfy quite like the third-person shooter action games of late but the game offers lengthy missions that just get better the further you go. It’s a shame that many of the original game’s flaws return in full force in this sequel.

It’s a solid adaptation that should entertain the younger crowd who fell in love with the film.

It’s nothing mind-blowing, and it’s almost identical to the original, but Cake Mania 2 is still a fun way to kill some time with your DS.

At worst this game still remains a somewhat enjoyable experience thanks to the deep customizability of creating rooms.

If you are into DBZ and haven’t picked this game up yet ... do so immediately.

If you’re a point and click game nut, then add an extra point to all of the scores. The game offers an easy to use control scheme, good graphics, above average music and an interesting story. For gamers that just don’t have the patience anymore for a point and click game, then this definitely isn’t your game.

Unfortunately, the PS2 port of this title suffers from a blurry visual presentation and occasional slowdown that is not present in the Xbox or Gamecube version.

Voice recognition, individual career mode, and create a dunk put NBA Shootout on the right path. Improving the player and referee AI will take the journey further.

If you love Nick cartoons and you have a friend with the game, you will probably love this game. However, if you’re like me and have fond memories of Nickelodeon shows long gone, and detest the button-mashing formula, then you will probably not enjoy this game.

Eve of Destruction has all the twisted metal action fans of vehicular carnage will love, but its repetitious races and awkward controls just hold back what could have been a great demolition derby game.

I was pleasantly surprised and then challenged at how well a game based on a movie was playing; good controls and level design make this a good find.

This is a nice little program, certainly not all that challenging, but delightful for its animation of a benign alien creature and its charming ways.

The ambience of the game just sets the mood perfectly with its darkness and oppression.

It’s an old-school brawler with all the right moves and players despite the awkward 360 controller scheme and the seriously flawed online multiplayer mode. Really, consider this $10 or 800 points well spent.

While the single-player game is fun, the multiplayer cooperative quests are where it really is entertaining.

Away: Shuffle Dungeon has a lot of charm and a great central gameplay system, but the gameplay is too shallow and simple to ever really draw the player in. It’s a cute, simple dungeon crawler with a great gimmick, but unfortunately it never really becomes anything more.

Very good implementation of a helicopter flight sim, though skimpy on the extra details like mission briefings, alternate gameplay modes, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I love an engrossing game just as much as the next gamer. But a game like Desktop Tower Defense, a game that is easy to pick up and play for an hour or two with no extended commitment, is a real treat.

Still somewhat disturbing and suitably creepy, Manhunt 2 still manages to provide a chilling good time on the PSP. With decent controls and loads of stealthy kills, it might still generate plenty of controversy anyway but more mature gamers will find this worth playing if they enjoyed the PS2/Xbox original.

Vanguard literally drops you into the middle of some truly spectacular and thrilling skirmishes but it also mixes these exciting moments with some really dull ones that slow the action down.

The fast-paced and intense offense showcases the style of play found in the AFL. Gamers wanting a deep and extensive football experience will be disappointed.

Mojo! is not going to blow people away with its gameplay. This is rather simple, but addictive. The courses are challenging and the environments are brilliantly designed.
