Condemned 2 really is a menagerie of bad design choices.

It has been thirteen years in the making, but Driver has the sequel it always deserved, aside from a restrictive progression model, there is nothing but pure driving and gaming bliss. Even the shifting gimmick works in such a way it adds to the experience rather than hampering it. It is great to be back behind the wheel and back in the directors chair.

LEGO Lord Of The Rings is another in a long line of classic LEGO games. It is fun and accessible. It is easy to lose an entire evening to its charms. It is the most well rounded of the LEGO titles too, whether a fan of the books or films, or not. It is one game to rule them all.

A lengthy, and hugely enjoyable, first person dungeon romp.

Wii Sports Resort is a fantastic showpiece for MotionPlus, and the one thing that Gamestyle takes away from its time with the game is the possibility of what it could lead to.

From Dust's concept is sublime and the simplistic controls make it accessible, despite some wonky camera controls. It isn't perfect, but it is still an excellent game and one that should be welcomed into any self respecting gamer's library.

When all is said and done, Baten Kaitos does have the substance to back up its style.

The Darkness II easily has one of the best narratives you'll find in a game, from how it is told, to how it looks. Along with some excellent gameplay, you would be an utter fool not to add this to your collection.

This is all about gameplay, and the open-ended structure is a welcome respite from the usual - the controls are responsive, the challenges perfectly pitched, and the various multiplayer games provide plenty of depth and longevity.

While obviously lacking in the story department, neither the single nor multiplayer modes really capture the Final Fantasy zeitgeist, instead having more in common with action-adventure titles like Gauntlet or Zelda. [Import]

Luftrausers has been a long time coming, but it doesn’t disappoint one little bit. The title is cross-buy, and whilst it is great on the PS3 and the big screen, it is yet another Indie title that has found a home on the Vita and it really is the perfect fit.

The gameplay is expertly refined to such a degree that little more improvement can be achieved. Now all we need is the actual atmospheric experience to be up to par.

While Chaos Theory may not hit the highs of episode 2, it does carry on its tale of loss and mystery with aplomb.

While the execution and presentation is undoubtedly better than last year (gimmicky rhythm-sections aside), the fact remains that the current crop of WWE superstars is dull and uninspiring.

Skate 3 from the outside looks like a bog standard yearly update effort and with the lack of Create-A-Spot from the previous game, it is easy to see why. However get into the game, jump online, grab some friends and get ready to be treated to one of the most fun and relaxing experiences console gaming has to offer.

Legend is a good, solid game, but it's a short-lived experience that suffers from a wonky storyline and combat/platforming sections that don't really gel together.

As a game, the remake of Rondo of Blood would have been a worthwhile purchase through Live arcade. As a collection, the Dracula X Chronicles is a fine example of how to compile a package.

Clearly A Boy and his Blob has been lovingly created by a team who appreciate the original and overall have done a tremendous job.

Despite the gripes there’s no denying that the core jumping mechanic is sound and more importantly, fun. It’s a refreshing change from the standard racing offering.

The players no longer look like white faced zombies and the online mode is one of the best we've experienced so far.

Magic 2014: Duels of the Planeswalkers is yet another excellent addition to the series, but whether you buy it depends on two things. How invested you are into the series as a whole. Does the idea of the updated cards for 2014 mean that much too you? Or are you just someone who enjoys a casual go now and again. There other factor is if you are totally new to the game, if so, you may as well go for the latest version.

A great noir adventure let down by technical issues, and features missing from its superior PC counterpart.

Fights soon degenerate into a short-range melee where you slug it out with blows and the occasional throw move. There is no balance, and button-bashers will feel right at home as you soon realise there is little room for tactics or skill.

It may only be fans of the series who will take advantage of everything the game has to offer, but the excellent job Namco have done in bringing Soulcalibur to the PSP is clear for everyone to see.

Visually, each course is stunning and finished with sublime attention to detail - even during online play. Nothing has been omitted; trees, luscious environments and realtime shadows simply enhance the addictive gameplay.

Alongside the single-player campaign, there's an entertaining multi-player mode that enables two people to build armies and defences and go to war. Whilst this is only local play, it does mean that Lock's Quest makes a more worthy addition to your DS collection.

The odd thing about Snoopy Flying Ace is that it isn't perfect, yet it is very hard to pinpoint anything that is actually wrong with it.

While Starbreeze have brought their customary expertise graphically, so many other aspects of The Darkness are sadly lacking.

What really stands out about Magic 2013 though, is that whilst it is great entry into the genre for new players, with pop up help and a fine tutorial, it doesn't trade that off by dumbing down the experience for veterans. Literally the only thing missing is the feel of having a physical deck in your hands. We dare you not to become hooked.

In the same way that The Darkness can get away with coming on stage dressed in bright pink PVC jump suits, Rock N Roll Racing can get away with being a straight port of a fun, over-the-top and cheese-filled experience.

While the game may seem a perfect recreation of the sport so far, there are unfortunately a couple of bugs which really never should've slipped through the testing process.

The King is back, as Pro Evo produces the best offline football game to date. It still lacks online, but this was never a game about playing faceless people across the world. Get your mates round and remember the good old days. There is room for improvement, but at long last the future looks bright for the former great.

Overall Geometry Wars Galaxies is a tight and fast paced shooter that is guaranteed to get the pulse flowing.

As a game Wii Fit is very limited and that certainly applies to the graphics. However used correctly it can be an aid for exercise, co-ordination, weight loss and improving your flexibilty.

There’s such a mind-boggling amount of options to choose from, that your head won’t stop spinning – 44 fighters (including 2 unlockables), 6 groove styles – with the option of making your own – and an incredibly ridiculous amount of moves to remember.

There are also issues with the questionable collision detection, which often results in your character slamming into a nearby pole that you had apparently avoided.

As one of the premiere strategy series, this feels like an almost budget expansion pack. Whilst there is plenty of game, you’ve got to wonder about the number of unplayable factions.

However, it’s difficult to recommend FlatOut wholeheartedly given that the practically non-existent difficulty curve and frustrating physics might be enough to deter those in search of simple arcade crash ‘em up thrills entirely.

A game you have to play through at your own pace; there are so many things you can do that are optional it is a title that personifies the idea that the more you put in the more you will get out.

For most, the graphical splendour and multi-hit combos will carry it only so far before the magic fades. From there, the appeal of several more levels of the same is greatly diminished.

Overall, Hitman isn't a bad game, in fact it it is hard to find fault. The main issue is that it is a Hitman game and the main new mechanics and the structure of the story mode take away that feeling you had when playing an earlier Hitman game. If you are new to the series then you will love what is on offer, but fans will be left with a bit of a bitter taste in their mouth.

Yakuza 3 is another strong entry in a series that deserves your time.

Although there are problems - for instance, the game is very short (it only took Gamestyle around seven hours) and the online co-op mode seems more like an added extra - we ultimately succumbed to its storybook charms.

For anyone wanting a portable Rock Band, this might be a bit abstract, but it mostly ticks all the right boxes.

The definitive version of an all-time classic. There is nothing else that could have been added to make this title feel any more complete or (pardon the pun) ‘Final’.

There is no challenge for most, but it cannot be looked at from an adult's point of view. A developing mind will jump in with both feet and get an amazing experience from start to finish, then over and over and over again. Imagine their favourite film that is always in the DVD player, it will be the same with this game. There is something about the charm on Elmo and friends and it transfers to gaming perfectly.

An endlessly entertaining and meticulously crafted modern roguelike.

It's a shame that Nuts & Bolts is so overlooked and undervalued, as it it genuinely brilliant, and shows that Rare does have what it takes to make a classic, even if they misjudge their audiences a little bit.

The meat of the game comes in the form of the career mode.

Scribblenauts is a great idea, with some questionable execution, and some laughable design decisions.

Its entertainment is short-lived, but only because the game itself is short. Although there is replay value in exploring the levels to their entirety, and completing the missions and multiplayer offer a few more hours entertainment, Sonic Colours is ultimately unsatisfying.

On the one hand it has so many design flaws that Gamestyle should hate it. But on the other hand it's a fun experience with a number of memorable moments.

Otogi 2: Immortal Warriors attempts to improve on the formula established in the first game, but does not succeed; instead it feels almost exactly like the first game, but better looking.

Chime is a charity game, but far from a charity case. At 400 points you would be forgiven for buying it as your good deed for the year, but what you will actually get it one of the best and most well balanced puzzle games in years.

Not the strongest, but another fine addition to The Walking Dead.

Shame then that the actual game itself does not contain much inspiration to match the source material.

Still, DC Heroes is as enjoyable for everyone as all of the previous games, and is definitely worth a look.

Doesn't offer much more than genre traditionalism in the wake of its contemporaries, but it's a nostalgic look back at how this fantastic series started, and has enough hours of playtime locked away to make it more than worthwhile.

If you have migrated onto the newer consoles in the market, then this is a great reason to head back to the PlayStation 2 one last time.

Feels like an add-on pack which has been stretched too thin between the cracks of a cracking good yarn (see: "Disgaea").

All of this adds up to a very feature rich game that deserves praise, it has taken the best bits from board games such as Scrabble, Risk and Boggle and mixed them up into a unique and satisfying experience. At 800 Points it would be more than worth it, however at just 400 Microsoft Points it is an absolute no brainer, go ahead and buy it right now.

An outstanding improvement on a stale series. There’s still room for improvement; a few more fatalities would have been nice, and more detailed arenas to fight in would take the game up a level.

Legends Of War: Patton's Campaign isn't an essential purchase but it is a nice surprise for owners of a PSP. Fun and accessible without being condescending to experts. A worthy addition to your PSP library.

Orcs Must Die is a fine game and one that offers up plenty of fun. The amount of ways there are to kill Orcs means that the game rarely gets dull and if anything it awakens a sadistic nature from within. Genocide has never been so much fun.

For 400 Microsoft points, Sonic 3 is not just a pleasant trip down memory lane, but a welcome return to a series that has gone awry.

At the end of the day fans of Spiderman fans will find plenty to enjoy as they relive all their childhood fantasies.

A change for the better - and much better than anyone could have imagined. It has the right feel, the right look, and the combat system has yet to be bettered in this genre.

If horror is your thing then you have no excuse not to buy it.

It is the best Little Big Planet yet, but some of those minor issues still exist. But that should stop you enjoying it overall.

There is plenty to be taken from Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, yes the game is different to previous entries in the series, however those changes are different rather than being negative. Ghost Recon hardcore fans may not get on with the new direction, but in general it is a fine game will worth your attention. Just make sure you play it with friends.

What makes all this a shame is that underneath a layer of awfulness the classic Pro Evolution Soccer gameplay is there fighting to get out. But a broken mess of an online mode, unnecessary alterations and an absent edit mode make this hardly the next generation football classic we were expecting.

There is a lot of fun to be had with this title and is a cracking showcase of how to build on some tried and tested formulas.

A wonderful accompaniment to the early films and a return to form for the franchise overall.

A great mesh of two beloved franchises.

Catherine, above all else, is an incredibly bold game. It's the black sheep (more puns) in a flock of all too similar games out there right now. It's smart, funny, well scripted, well animated and very fun to play.

The same old Street Fighter - which is fine for lovers of the series, but the haters won't soon be impressed. Still, it's a nice enough celebration of Street Fighter, but we do wonder how many times Capcom can recycle the same game again and again.

One thing you cannot criticise Square Enix for is taking this direct sequel lightly as there's been a thorough spring clean on all fronts. A much improved gaming experience but is at the same time hampered by its ties to the past. The characters remain uninteresting and a great villain makes an RPG worth all the hours of work. If Square Enix continue to listen to criticism then there's hope for another classic entry in the Final Fantasy series one day.

The game is charming, funny, challenging and most of all, it is enjoyable. You would really need to hate games not to enjoy it.

A fun release, but nothing more than a brief distraction or quick session with little longer-term appeal.

With a little practice you can create a decent remix in under half an hour, although an original song will take longer to create. But you won't notice the time because with MMG3 each moment will be a labour of love.

Gamestyle quite enjoyed taking a detour from the norm with Gladius, which stands commendably behind "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" - in genre-matching terms on the Xbox.

The perfect word that can really sum up Mirror’s Edge is unfortunately, disappointment.

Success or failure in Metroid Prime Pinball is down to little more than what day of the week it is; what modicum of skill that actually makes a difference is frequently undone by chance. With such a randomly uncontrollable element to the proceedings, you'll find yourself thinking this is either a really good addictive game, or the most infuriating thing since those Michael Winner commercials.

Alien Hominid HD almost makes us want to cry. Maybe it's because a game we've been looking forward too has turned out to be incredibly average or perhaps it's because we've very rarely been this overcome by a games unfair difficulty.

It's very clear that the developers really do care about the project and all the sources which are parodied and that helps most of the games faults to be forgiven. Retro City Rampage is certainly a game that fans of retro gaming should play and you should have a great time – it's just not likely you'll return after finishing it.

You will be frustrated, you will swear more than you have at any point in your life before, but you will have one amazing sense of accomplishment when you complete goals and levels. OlliOlli is one amazing game, it is an instant classic. If you own a Vita, you need to pick this up right away.
