In spite of the fumbling control, which requires pixel-precise working, I am now able to turn meat and fish in the pan quite well.

I am convinced by the lovable figures of Draugen, so much so that I did not need the turn at the end. They work for themselves, are versatile, charming and simply alive.

Anyone who can not make friends with a rather broad-based, but then always repetitive content and attaches importance to a story or multi-layered characters, is wrong with Dauntless.

It may be due to the charming look and the likeable DIY approach of the hobby astronauts of Holzkamin, but Outer Wilds reminds me in the best sense (probably idealized) childhood experiences: the feeling of discovering something new at a ramble, finally on the top of the tallest tree Climbing in the woods or just getting to know something new that enhances your own horizons - I have that feeling in every corner of Outer Wilds.

My first thought when playing was "Okay, there is not enough content here, but for a cheap indie-diablo, it's okay."

The long, beautifully varied campaign combines party sections and real-time battles to form a complete, complete picture, driven by a really exciting story.

The core of the tower defense strategy mix is demanding and entertaining.

I'm scared of the jumpscares or my heart is pounding when the monster nearly kicks me. But for real fear, I'm just not invested enough in the story.

As much as I like the oppressive atmosphere of the Space Station in Observation, the game works effectively for me only in the moments when the game takes control of me and I am a passive observer.

Stylish Shakedown: Hawaii hits the mark with its 16-bit look and great soundtrack. Retro GTA fans will also get a similar mix with the predecessor Retro City Rampage in the DX version - without grafted-up, ultimately unnecessary economic simulation elements.

Since Doom in 2016, no shooter has played so well for me and has motivated me so much to further develop my character's abilities and weapons. Here lies the greatest strength of Rage 2: lure me with skills that actually feel like an improvement...However, thanks to the monotonous missions and the empty open world, Rage 2 runs out of steam after only five to six hours of play.

Rise of Industry does not live up to its own claim of "having enough strategic complexity and replay value" "to satisfy the most experienced fans of the genre" (quotations from the developers).

Mordhau is for me almost something like Asterix for adults.

The initially gripping chases lose their effect quickly. When I hear the very well-written dialogues in comparison, I would rather spend much more time with Ada, Tesla and Co. and learn more about them.

Everything seems rock solid, but those who had hoped for a new impetus will be disappointed. Veterans will find their way around quickly, but newcomers will continue to struggle because many rules are under-stated.

World War Z is a third-person mix of Left 4 Dead and Killing Floor 2 with the biggest enemy hordes I've ever seen in a game. This is really impressive, but at some point you get fed up with it and what's left is a zombie shooter like many others - mind you not a bad one, but not one that absolutely must be played.

You should know exactly what kind of player you are. If you're like me, Sekiro could be your match of the year for 2019. But you have to be ready to hit your head against the wall in a dead end until the brick wall breaks. Not everyone has such a thick skull. I understand. In that case, you might want to consume Dark Souls as a lighter starter snack. Never thought that I would ever write that.

Ubisoft and Massive have created a new reference on how a loot shooter can look at release. I had more fun with The Division 2 at launch than with any other loot-ballerei. And I'm curious what the future holds.
