There are fleeting moments of fun in Reign of Fire, but they're quickly smothered beneath lame level design, wretched controls, and a surprising lack of intensity, considering all the dragons and missiles and fire and whatnot.- GameSpy

Especially boring was the fact that characters that die cannot be brought into the game immediately -- you have to go back to the nexus (that's not what it's called, but hey, it's my review) and get them, restarting the level again in its entirety. Ugh.- GameSpy

A mediocre FPS that fails to make good use of the Serious Engine.- GameSpy

The game uses plot as an afterthought and focuses instead on a woefully undeveloped combat system and skill tree (or pole, as it happens to be).- GameSpy

A painful reminder that all the authenticity in the world can't help when the game is completely unpolished and the core gameplay is weak.- GameSpy

Even if its technical issues were resolved, you'd still be left with a flawed, boring game design that fails to capitalize on the inherent coolness of its theme and character.- GameSpy

While I cannot dismiss its flaws, I can easily ignore it and move on to better examples of this unique form of expression from the early 21st century.- GameSpy

Sadly, much of the game feels as if it were rushed, and the game's story and characters are presented so poorly as to all but ruin what could have an enjoyable experience.- GameSpy

Even the overdone gore isn't realistic enough for the morally unhinged. It's a lackluster experience and part-time embarrassment to the hardware potential of this game system.- GameSpy

The worst, and most important thing about F1 Career Challenge, is the jerky handling I mentioned earlier. It takes about an hour of game time to get acclimated to it. Even after that, the cars are nearly impossible to drive smoothly, and it never really feels like you are in total control.- GameSpy

While initially exciting, the thrill of the speed will wear off within the first hour or so, leaving you with a poor arcade racer that's neither exciting enough to last beyond the initial play nor realistic enough to provide the depth of a real racer.- GameSpy

Primal Prey isn't deep or imaginative, though it does have its moments...Still, the core gameplay isn't rewarding enough to make you want to keep searching for those moments.- GameSpy

If you've already been spoiled by the likes of GT3, you will ultimately be disappointed with the lack of GTC's car selection and customization.- GameSpy

Had the potential to be a much greater game, but the terrible missions really drag it down. After a while you get tired of having to rely on the strategy guide to find the only way through a map's wacky mission scripting.- GameSpy

The core gameplay is undeniably skill-based, but the frustration from the somewhat obtuse controls and just plain sloppy mechanics prevent it from reaching its full potential.- GameSpy

Repetitive, ugly, short, nonsensical, and boring -- a beat-'em-up that gets almost everything wrong, and that's wildly overpriced at $50.- GameSpy

What's worse is that the aforementioned combat system is more frustrating than losing a heel on prom night. Ultimately you're left with a game that's based on a really interesting idea, but as a whole is executed poorly.- GameSpy

A very mixed bag. The graphics will swing from impressive to tolerable to utterly nauseating in a split second, the customization options are almost nonexistant but offer a very quick and easy entrance into the game.- GameSpy
